    ‘Peace depends on our attitudes’, how true? But the US have yet to learn from wisdoms of their previous President, sadly at the expense of the world. Political leadership is about being the ‘moral voice’ of the people.

    I will never forget the morning in 1963 when my American peace corps volunteer teacher came into our class in Las-Anod, Somaliland and told us that President kennedy was assassinated yesterday in Dallas. We became sad, really sad and shocking. The assassination of President Kennedy is still imprinted in my mind partly because he was the one who created the peace corps volunteers and sent them to us to teach us maths, English, biology and chemistry. It was the greatest help we ever got in my school days, and I will always be thankful for what he did for us.

    This was a wonderful talk. Sadly, we do not teach our high school students these speeches. You can learn a lot of history and humanity from the speeches of JFK, MLK, Eisenhower, both Roosevelts, Washington, and Lincoln.

    Words to live by in family affairs as well...Extremely thought provoking as I listen and look in me as well as around me...My response is an extremely important action which will either fuel or douse a fire...Let it be from love and heart that we go forward - or can it truly be an advancement....Direction is important...Down is not up no matter how it's painted

    Always wondered why Kennedy was murdered. What a wonderful man and what a credit this lady is to both Kennedys.

      there are loads of books answering your question, most concur that he was murdered because he was upsetting the apple cart at CIA and DOD. See eg James Douglass, The Unspeakable.

    @1:02 he says that the Prime Minister of Ireland was de Valera but that's a mistake - de Valera was the President of Ireland in 1963, not the Prime Minister.

    Did he make peace in Vietnam? When he did not pass civil rights because he feared losing the Democrats in the South? When he sent planes to attack Cuba? I mean, where did JFK find/promote peace? Just asking for a friend.

    • @jcharissesandberg333
      @jcharissesandberg333 Před rokem

      I wish he hadn't sent in those advisors, but it was really LBJ who escalated the war, right? I
      think he figured he could do more, elected, than not elected, & that was necessary for Johnson to pass civil rights legislation. Since LBJ was from a pretty red-necky part of Texas, I'm thinking he was solemnly fulfilling JFK's wishes, with civil rights. Regarding Cuba, I think, sadly, that he was young & foolish, in insisting on the Monroe Doctrine, & I think it may be why he was assassinated. Still, he meant well....I really believe that.
      This is HER FATHER she's remembering. How can you be so cruel, as to give her even the smallest shadow of a doubt, that they were men of
      the highest achievements? That family saw so much tragedy, in at least attempting to do their very best, that it's very humbling, to me.

      JFK did not carry out his promised of supporting the Baptista corrupted mercenaries based in Florida. Thus, the Bay of Pigs invasion of Socialist Cuba of Fidel Castro failed. President Kuruchev had removed their nuclear missiles from Cuba.

      @@rogerlephoque3704 are you talking about the John Hopkin DNA finding?
      That DNA found 85% of their Palestinians are the descendant of Abraham. So they are the indigenous people.
      the illegal occupiers (so-called Jews) are not really Jews. They are Ashkenazi Jews. I advise you to listen to Benjamin freeman speech in 1962 explained all that. czcams.com/video/7A0ogOv59ME/video.html

    A shame he had to speak after Kerrie K. after that moving tribute to her father, RFK. Most of mr. Sachs comments were inappropriate he could of left most of that long and boring speech out! To much talking! Lol
