    Thank you. I’m so glad you are making videos again. I have a peace Lilly that is almost 16 years old from a funeral. I repotted it once and it almost died so I haven’t tried again but I know it needs it. Because of your video I’m going to do this. I think it will go well.

      Oh, Janice! I hope it goes well--I've heard from a number of other people that repots of this plant can be difficult. I hope yours bounces back like this one did. Many of the people who reached out to me about my first rescue video for this plant were doing so because they had these plants from similar events, such as during periods of loss. I wish you the absolute best of luck when it is time to do the repot.

    Garbage rescue plants tend to grow into beautiful plants with just a little care. The worst I have personally rescued was a poinsettia. A coworker was gifted one for Christmas one year and when I came to work, the poinsettia was dry and wilted and shriveled. I wasn't sure I could save it but gave it a shot. It ended up living a few more years and was as healthy as it could be.
    I believe plants just want to grow and if you give them a chance, many will.

    Hi there! I wish I had seen this last year when my peace lily died. I "think" the soil got compacted and water wasn't getting through to the roots. Anyway, before I bought another one, I wanted to make sure I didn't kill it again so I really appreciate this info. What I learned today is not to be afraid to cut back stems when they are dying.

      I do sound pretty casual about cutting it back in the video, but I admit that I wasn't so cavalier while doing it! It did bounced back, however, though it took some time. Good luck with yours! 😊

    Well done Addy, she’s looking really good now. My late mother had one for many years n it was never without a flower, due to tomato fertiliser (high potash) I repotted it for her during my years at horticultural college n never had a problem (we weren’t told they were difficult!) You have a good point not messing with patients, we sometimes overdo it, ‘killing with kindness ‘! God bless you. Xg

    Luckily my peace lily is thriving, she has grown vigorously all year and is now blooming for me! She is less of a drama queen then some of the calathea so She seems easy in comparison lol

      I know--I feel like this plant is a lot more forgiving with me. Mine has only weakly bloomed since its been bouncing back. My goal for this year is to get it blooming like yours! It sounds gorgeous.

    I’m just finding this, I just purchase a peace lily and I brought it home and after a few days I repotted it, I’m not sure what I did wrong but it extremely Droopy. One more thing I did loosen soil a little when I repotted. Please help did I do something wrong

    • @AddyBeez
      @AddyBeez  Před 2 lety

      Is the soil moist? How much water did you give it after repotting? My peace lily droops when it needs water. However, drooping can sometimes be a sign of shock, too, which can occur when repotting a plant new to your home. If it is in direct light from a window, pull it back to the point it gets bright indirect light.

    Why u not uploading videos at a regular intervel,

    • @AddyBeez
      @AddyBeez  Před 2 lety

      Mostly because I have been working a ton and have a little bit of a commute so finding daylight hours to film has been tough, and I never figured out or bought any lighting that works for filming. Things are starting to slow down though so I should be able to get some regularly released videos moving into summer. Fingers crossed!
