- Over a year ago I had the good fortune to help my friend Dave rescue yet another truck from the former collection of the late Bill Craib. Sadly many of the trucks in this video series have been scrapped. A lucky few were saved.
Check out some the past footage from this property below.

Great set of videos! Walking around that yard had to be both exciting and depressing at the same time. Glad they saved that V12 Detroit powered Mack R700.
Someone pulled a V12 Brockway out of there as well.
Was that a v12 or a 318?
Grew up in Pittsburgh when the mills were rolling strong and then gone, remember the autocar and v8 macks hauling slag out of Edgar Thompson works, belching Black soot and turning your car iron orange crawling up 885 hill during the spring wet season, hauling hot rocks the driver's called it
Drove a 359 just like that 318 13 speed and a jake. Life couldn’t get much better than that
I am glad that you showed the before and after, the '69 mack was the era I learned on, anywhere from one to three sticks
That's awesome some of them found new homes, I hope someone saved that R model with the dump trailer that would make an excellent restoration pair. Thanks for bringing us along.
Thanks for sharing the rescues. They were a nice pick-me-up.
Thank you! I like that in the USA rescue old trucks and heavy equipments, because in Russia where I live all of this go to scrap. In Russia love only money, no technical history. For me it is so sad.
These trucks are direct connections to the past. I always enjoy looking at them.
@@Dailydieseldose315 I agree with you completeiy.
Sad memories for me, so many of these trucks I have driven during my career. I do enjoy watching your content is awesome.
Back when men were men!

Nice variety of rigs here..
Hopefully some of these are restored or at least saved for parts ..
That happened for many.
I woulda loved to got that Mack B 63 SX.....
Like #69. Sheep's foot powered by the JADE GRENADE....hahaha
Very cool!!!!!!!!!!
Wow 😮
Excellent series of videos!
i live in Massachusetts and remember seeing those dyna's what made them so special that us in the north east got them so much?
👍👍
I wonder if that Brockway Cabover was an old Gulf truck??
Did he ever have any hope of restoring any of this? Or just keeping it away from scrappers?
I think he bought trucks he liked and worked them. Most were in well used shape when parked. He probably spared them from the scraper by 30 years or more.
Damn. What engine was in the compactor?
Did you ever make it out to his house before they cleaned it up? So many treasures
Yes, I can't believe that dragline bucket he had!
I remember seeing that kid with the mack and video with the blue cabover. Are all those from the craib collection then?
Yes they were.
@@Dailydieseldose315 No shit, wow, he did have quite the collection then. Always came back for more. Nice 👌
what´s the designation for the backhoe kinda like piece of equipment at 1:27 ?
And the name of the brand his "whiteoak"???
Dynahoe was the make. White Oak was the name of the company that owned the backhoe.
Was that a Diamond Reo truck at the start?
The 1st one was a Reo. A model before the merger of Reo and Diamond T.
Where is this?
Was there an auction?
Maybe over a decade ago?
