0:00 Intro
0:05 2010 Jeep JK. The technician said: "They never said anything more but they did get it fixed."
0:18 No issues with the power steering which is what it initially came in for. But a pulley broke off of the tensioner (which the customer did not notice or mention anything about). Funny enough the belt managed to stay on somehow and not fly off. The technician said the belt was from NAPA (Dayco brand).
0:32 They removed the caliper covers and the noise went away. People install these so it looks like they have Brembo brakes on their vehicles.
0:44 A new lower control arm bolt was installed and the other one was tightened. If the one bolt was loose, it could have had the other one installed but it was loose as well.
0:55 Oil leak was from the oil pan gasket. Securing the tray to the CV axle and exhaust is not the best place to attach it too. Over time the exhaust will burn the cable, and the CV axle will rub through it.
1:09 No extra info.
1:23 The technician said this was done at another Dodge dealership in his city and said he's unfortunately seen this happen a handful of times that customers will pay to get work done and it never gets done.
1:37 Phone mount arm was hitting the hazard button. The technician said: "the only thing I can say is that the phone holder part blocks the view of it hitting the button from the driver's seat. Her Dad who paid the bill didn't find it as funny as the whole shop did."
1:42 The technician said the purge valve was not installed from the factory and that's why the check engine light was on.
1:49 Incorrect brake booster, so the master cylinder could not be installed correctly onto it. The master cylinder was also loose, with only 2 nuts installed on the back side and the brake system + master cylinder were not installed correctly. When you install a new master cylinder you need to bench bleed it before installing.
2:06 Jeep SRT8. It needed 2 new calipers, all new rotors, and pads.
2:20 The technician told the customer on what they needed as it's a fire hazard on what they currently have, but they declined repairs.
2:29 At least they had a fuse for the wiring that the customer installed. It's a little too big though lol.
2:36 "This happened at my friend's shop they work on the county vehicles and they were doing routine maintenance and the tech didn't have the post all the way on the frame and it slipped off it and they had to pay for a new bed. I happened to be in there when it happened and recorded the aftermath"
2:42 Needed a new battery and starter.
2:51 Maybe they had a bad oil leak and that was the "oil tray". The customer did not mention anything about it.
2:57 1970 GMC C10.

What about 2014 Ford focus stock? Can you make that run lol
Actually using razor wire was a great idea to try and save his catalytic converter. Those babies are expensive!!
and hard to get right now for some vehicles. Heard some OEM one's been taking months to get, as there's no aftermarket options.
What you want is a hidden gun underneath so if someone under the car trips a wire they get shot
@CRABSY6 I'm all for it. The law however
Next level genius really!!!! 👍
I’m still shocked that stealing these is such a big thing in America. I always thought it was mostly overblown.
Now I read it’s starting to happen here in Australia quite a bit too. Typical trying to import all the bad ideas from overseas lol.
Love the enginunity of the owner with Razor Wire to protect the cat
1:16 new idea for protesters in the road… Brilliant! 😂
Looked like a neat professional job too! Hopefully one day he finds a pool of blood under his car.
Yes.. but zip ties? Cmon...
Imagine a piece of that unraveling and dragging behind the car, flinging out in corners with bystanders around.
@@lifted_above There you go again my friend, giving us starry eyed idealists a reality check.🏅😂😂😂
The "mega razor wire" cat converter theft prevention is PRICELESS!
The speed bump emergency light thing has me rolling!!!

and they have the power of a VOTE !
Funny enough, but I'm going to question why the shop felt compelled to charge the customer in this instance.
@@ivanolsen7966 Why is the southern border experiencing massive invasion? That's a tad more threatening than dumb people voting.
@@myitbos1335 guess it depends on the shop and how long a tech was trying to figure it out. I don't know
Shop: Sir your car is on fire
Customer: That’s ok it’s raining outside
That pick up is a thing of pure beauty...
I definitely loved that black and red Chevy truck.
It looks weird to me. Very well done, but weird. It's not low enough to look "lowered", but it's low enough to just look a little "off".
It also doesn't help that I find all short boxes "weird". I always ask, "where's the rest of your truck?" lol
Not a "thing", it is a real truck. 🤪
@@jayjaynella4539 You've never heard the expression " A thing of beauty"?
Definitely not referring to the yellow pickup @ 2:36! That one appears to have some sort of lifting-frame in the bed, which has struck the workshop's roof when they raised the hoist!
The painting under the car is an 'oil on canvas'.
Oil paint too.
I’ve never seen a serpentine belt keep going like that after a pulley failure. That was crazy
Ive seen one installed wrong and it lasted quite a long time wrapped around a water pump before it finally let go, so long it wore grooves in the alloy from rubbing. You would think the heat from the friction would kill it in short time, but this one lasted a solid week.😆
Same…
Really chewed through that metal, too. I would have thought the belt would fail before it did that much damage to metal parts...
I was a bit in awe to see that belt slipping through there like that's how it was suppose to be lol
Just had one in that had a pulley rub through the timing cover on a 4.6 ford
"The customer declined all repairs." I love it! They need counseling more than car repairs. LOL
I always hope it's because they plan on selling/scrapping it anyway, not because they want to continue driving it, but...
Yea well he’s out there… driving it. Every state should have mandatory inspections like Georgia.
@@88997799 I was genuinely surprised to find many US states don't, and many of these shit boxes are the result.
So I declined repair on my Tacoma. It was a 17 model that needed a lot of work. I sold it for $18,500 with 130,000 miles. I disclosed all the problems with it and the dude wanted a project truck. He’s gonna fix it up. I’m happy that my old truck is going to get a new life under someone else.
@@88997799 Sir, I live in the state of Georgia and we do not have state inspections on our vehicles prior to getting it re-registered.
Love the barbed wire cat shield!
Hope they don't pick up anything off of the road with that thing lol
Cannot blame them one little bit. Nothing like rocking the neighborhood in the morning as you fire up a decatted vehicle. #OhTheJoy

1:08 And someone who has had to replace *_5 stolen catalytic converters_* over the years I can say I certainly appreciate that guy's energy.
Just means the guy parked next to him had theirs stolen instead.
at least if it gets stolen you have the DNA of the thief
IF YOU WANT IT YOU GOTTA WORK FOR!
Did you replace 5 as an owner or as a mechanic? If the former, you need to move out of the hood.

Yes I agree with you, I’m addicted for sure. I always like to say thank you sir
The razor wire cat cage is freaking awesome.
The guy should patent it.
The Black C10 at the end Looks and Sounds Great, the perfect forever daily driver
That 1970 GMC is absolutely beautiful!
Seeing old restored vehicles in the end makes the world right again.
Thank you
🙋🏼
Wow! The black Chevy truck at the end was a BEAUTY!
That razor wire was pure genius! Wile-E-Coyote would be proud =)
1:43 I love how the guy who recorded the video said so much without uttering a word. 😂
🤣 that's all you need to do sometimes
I can only advise against buying modern VWs. The engines with the direct injection are generally crap. The exhaust fumes gets fed back into the engine to lower the emissions. But with the direct fuel injection, the particles in the exhaust gases build up a thick layer of soot in the intake manifold blocking the throttle valves after only a couple of thousand kilometres. To get rid of the soot, you have to replace the manifold or deep clean it manually.
The bosses of VW consider the life expectancy of the modern cars at only 180 thousand km!
@@Craftlngo are those the ones I see people cleaning with torches?
Four Rings of hell.
@@Craftlngo what counts as "modern VW"? 2020+?
I love how you show one insanely beautiful car at the end. Really enjoy the narration.
Defintely a thumbs up to the razor wire protecting the cat!
That GMC is a thing of beauty. I would have preferred like a dark purple for the interior or a darker red. Nice work to whoever cleaned it up.
That serpentine belt literally hanging on for dear life. 😮
That one was awesome 😂
No, not literally.
that black truck at the end is a work of art!
I like that you often end with some eye candy or a laugh. It's needed after seeing some of the Chinese Republic Aftermarket Parts driving around.
The proper acronym is CRAP. 🤣🤣
So i was in the Burger King drive through today, and this car had a tire that looked like it was about to fly off (looked like maybe a very very broken lower ball joint) and i thought about this channel right away.
Oh now I LOVE the catalytic converter "security system"! LOL
Brilliant!
1:10 That catalytic looks like it's in a supermax prison.
The oil tray reminds me of a car I bought for cash at a buy here, pay here type dealer. Had some corrugated plastic zip tied underneath to redirect a transmission leak. Insisted it was removed, and drove that car 3yrs, just topping up fluids as needed, until even my brother wouldn't give it an inspection sticker, as the body was way rotted. A friend of mine thought she owed me for work I'd done for her in the past(she's on disability and had just gotten an inheritance she was in a rush to spend), and so bought me the car, as she could "see me in it" the first time she saw it.... Got very upset when I said it wasn't worth the price, having gone under it and see how rotted it was, and bought it anyway. Towards the end, I couldn't jack it up, and open the doors, as the body flexed too much.
Never saw upbadged brakes before, that's a new one
When I visit Thailand I see loads of cars and pickups with them. 🤔🤭
When changing the oil, I like to look at art
The painting used as an oil catch is pretty funny. If it wasn't an oil painting before it certainly is now 🤣
This stuff always amazes me. There are actually people out there driving these death traps without a second thought. Everywhere!
Me too. And the flow of videos seems to be endless
We share the road with them all the time
If the exterior looks janky the under carriage is probably even worse
A terrifying testament to the hard work done by countless engineers. I’m amazed
I enjoyed the sweet Chev pickup at the end. Sounds great.
That black Chevy with the red interior was gorgeous
2:36 Always show and teach new guys proper lift points. Even if they claim they've been a tech for xyz years working at abc shop, it never hurts to double check. Could've just lifted it 2-3 inches off the floor and shook it. THAT could've been avoided, 100%.
Not if the frame exploded.
@@frikyouall Considering some of the former frames I've seen on this channel, I wouldn't blame anyone without the underside angle as well.
A reputable shop near me had an issue where a half ton truck fell backwards off a hoist. The tech knew where the lift points were and had worked on many of those trucks before, but didn't realize the truck had a LOT of weight in the bed (had a cap with no windows). Lifted the truck as he always would and the truck fell off the back of the hoist. I don't know if any of them would have caught it, but they learned a valuable lesson
Kinda looks like it fell of the front part of the leaf spring shackle. The single cab has next to no room to grab via the frame.
I worked at a shop where the owners son picked up his own car to work on. Set the front arms under the front fenders. Walked away and it fell down and peeled off the front fenders. He wasn't happy.
What can you say about these awesome videos that hasn't already been
said? The mechanics are incredible, especially having to deal with what customers bring in to get repaired. Thank you to "All the great mechanics"
👍👍👍👍👍
OH MAN! What an awesome C10 at the end! WOW!!
Thats how I transport my stolen artwork.... under my truck! How else do you do it without getting caught? Lol
The stolen vango painting has been found 😂
Shhhh.... don't tell anybody! Lol
Lol, I'm thinking it was another homemade device to protect against catalytic converter theft?
@@wjb111 Is that a really a thing, calling a Van Gogh a Vango? Or just typing it how it pronounced (in English)?
Good joke though.
You can only put oil painting there, though.....
That C-10 at the end of the video is freaking gorgeous!!
The cat prevention clip had me rolling😂😂😂
That last black truck with the red interior is absolutely gorgeous! 😍
2:51 The customer wanted an oil painting.
If there’s not enough oil on your oil painting then just stick it under my diff, it will have plenty in no time.
My favorite 3 minutes of the day.
Here I was dumbfounded again by all those clips and then that C10 at the end made me forget about them. Lol. She’s gorgeous and that’s what a real engine sounds like. 😎
I love the Catalytic Converter theft deterrent Device.
I was originally going to comment about the Brembo covers but then I saw that gorgeous black C-10. JIMINY CHRISTMAS THAT'S A NICE TRUCK! lol
Agreed! I'll take one lol
The "Brembo" covers are counterfeit, Brembo doesn't make covers. I feel like I'm through the looking glass, someone wanted to show they have an expensive brake system without buying the expensive brake system 🤣 I don't get it all... my stock brakes are just fine.
Old GMC’s rule!!
LOVE the use of concertina wire and the final black C10
That truck at the end is beautiful!
Honestly I can't even be mad at the barbed wire on the catalytic converter lmao

The GMC at the end, omg, omg I never wanted a C10 more in my life.
Loving that C10 at the end! Beautiful!!
nothing much to say today except this is one of my favourite channels on the whole of youtubes and have a great weekend everybody!
Love that razor wire deterrent.
I enjoy any year, make, or model of classic cars that are well taken care of or even modded for a specific purpose. My Dad had a '67 Chevy Nova he turned into 200+ MPH, -10 second quarter mile drag. I can't count how many times my tiny girl hands held his light and reached for parts he could not reach.
Thanks Dad for teaching me how to look after my vehicles.
The only difficult part about being a competent car person and educated computer hardware/software person is that everyone "asks" for my advice.
Dont forget about PAINTINGS under the car!
Its worth -0.4 sec on the quater mile!

I have to say, that razor wire was genius.
After watching the work done on those cars, i feel like a mechanical genius. Thanks for that.
That razor wire idea is awesome. Sadly I'll bet some criminal in California cuts himself and sues the owner.

1:16 new idea for protesters in the road… Brilliant! 😂
I don’t know which is my favorite: the razor wire covering the catalytic converter (actually really clever), or the painting as a tray under the F-250. 😂
As always I really looked forward to this one and you didn’t fail to entertain. Here in Straya we don’t have problems with our catalytic converters being stolen but we really have to give it to the fella with the fitted razor wire antitheft device 😂🤣😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 hats off to the builder of the sweet pickup video at the end.
That razor-wire anti-theft device is actually pretty ingenious. And effective, I'll bet.
I literally sit open mouthed in disbelief at these videos every time.
I used to be shocked and amazed, but now i just sit and laugh. But yeah, the level of stupidity is incredible.
Love the razor wire...feel like I need to know more about the painting under the truck!!
Thx for posting an uplifting scene at the end
Razor wire catalytic convertor anti theft...LOVE IT!!🤣😂
That IS the best catalytic theft deterrent I've seen yet,
Want to hide a stolen painting? I have just the place......
Cheers to the guy who used razor wire!
These need to be longer. I just stop laughing from one, the tears dry up .... and it's over 🤣
He sometimes puts out a "best of" video that are typically an hour long. Chase those up.
That was a great palace cleanser there at the end. Love me some ‘60s and ‘70s pickups.
This is one of the few channels that I click the like button on as it starts. It's just that good!
I love the clean car vids at the end! It's like a pallet cleanser for the next video.
1:43 - that needs to be made into a meme. No words are necessary here, it is simply brilliant (as well as factual) 10/10 would tip.
I didn't get it. What is the purge valve and what does the fuel level has to do?
@@Seb-Storm 8km check engine light is on as the purge valve was never installed from factory
@@Seb-Storm He was highlighting the check engine light, not the fuel. The purge valve is just part of the evap system, but since it wasn't installed at the factory it caused the light.
The cat guard is a work of art!
That razor wire is the best cat cover yet. That black and red pickup is the perfect colour combo.
That was the sweetest ending to "Just Rolled In" that I have ever seen. Thank you

2:57 I'm not a GM guy, but I'd be proud to drive that truck.
LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE that c10 at the end!!!!!!!
That old C10 is sweeeeet! 😎🇺🇲
Of all the improvisations you see on this channel, the razor wire has to be a top 3 for actual practicality.
2:36 15 years ago one of my mechanics had an F-150 slip off the rear lift feet and do the exact same thing and it damaged the bed exactly like this one, on BOTH sides, only a foot off the floor. That round cylinder thing on the floor under the LH rear is a lift-foot extension that popped out. Ford pickup truck frames are a nightmare to set up on a post-lift, and are narrow, so they teeter-totter even when properly supported; 4WD Rangers and Exploders are the same way. I only service them with floor jacks or my drive-on lift since that happened. Any Ford pickup needing repairs that requires a 4-arm post-lift, I send somewhere else, lol!
Dude idk why but i'm dying at the barbed wire cat protection
I like the barbed wire idea. 😀👍🏻
I remember back in the 70’s when radios were being stolen. One guy attached razor blades under the dash. He said that somebody tried to steal it. He came back to a lot of the ‘almost’ thief’s blood everywhere. 😁
My old Volvo 245 nearly did kill a thief, as he passed out from blood loss while hunched over in the passenger foot well.
I was living in a decent area and would not lock the doors, because I left nothing of value in any car, and would rather replace a radio than a tinted window. So I come out for work and I notice the door is open, dome light on, and legs sticking out from the passenger side. The guy cut his wrist pretty badly in the dark, didn't realize it, and passed out from blood loss. Good thing I had the plastic all season factory mats, because they're ~2 inches deep and caught all the blood. The scum survived, and I was able to sue him and his parents for damages, and won a decent settlement.
Those old Volvo's have an extremely sharp bracket around the radio that any Volvo person or installer will know, but clearly this windowlicker did not. And the best part? The radio he tried to steal was one of the first car CD players Sony made. It could only power two speakers at 10w, and the CD player function had long since died. It was just an old radio.
In germany, some gangs would occasionally go on parts run, and steal specific car parts during the night. one time they removed headlights and an entire (glued-in) windshield!
around that time someone would maybe break in and steal your radio. that was the time before factory radios were attuned to the car's onboard computer. so next morning someone found their car's passenger door ajar, passenger airbag popped, and a screwdriver, and bloot splattered about. apparently the thief took the engraved rim around the airbag lid for the glovebox...
That's actually Razor wire......there is a difference....Barbed wire might puncture your skin and poke you, but Razor wire will cut off your fingers.....
That C10 is SICK!!!
I'm not even mad at that razorwire job, that's brilliant.
Extremely dangerous, to like, an obscene degree, but brilliant.
Imagine catching some roadkill with that ball of wire LOL
That's why I like old cars because they start up on the coldest day just like my duster 👍👍👍👍👍👌
