To "simplify" it even further, the stipulation is 1,000,000 damage in one shot and says nothing about "on one enemy" so as far as I can tell based on when I got it personally you can get it much "faster and easier" by dealing a lot of damage to multiple targets.
In simpler terms: just get a collat lol

This is how I did it too, by accident, because I was trying to do it on a single target and happened to line up a bunch of enemies and got it "early"
I’m fairly confident that not only does your piercing shots count towards it, I believe any proc counts too
no, it has to be 1mil in a single damage proc, so multiple enemies will not count.
For me it took travel to stage 23 without artifacts in order to get this achievement. And it was ALL thanks to a laser scope and a crowbar printer I found.

I love that, at the beginning, he mentioned the level being important. And then proceeded to not say a word about it. Also, Crowbar is hilariously broken, especially (I’ve found) on Huntress. If you get the boss item that fires projectiles while you’re running, the entire map just dies by you existing
Speaking of items like that, I'd like to point out how stupid REX is with N'kuhanas Opinion. Yknow, the item that benefits from something specific and the character that almost always does that specific thing.

Quick correction, for 100% uptime on the Tonic, you only need a combination of fuel cells/gestures that adds up to 4 in total. Obviously one gesture is needed for the automatic activation, but you could have one gesture and three fuel cells, or four gestures, etc.

still haven’t done a Merc prismatic trial without going below 100%, it’s my only missing achievement and it haunts me to this day
My bro wanted this achievement but couldn't get it no matter how hard he tried.
I tried helping him... but I'm also not good with Merc - I never use him.
Then I decided to just find his files, change some things up, and BOOM. Achievement gotten.

Small correction for anyone planning on doing this, it is a total of 4 fuel cells and gestures with at least one being a gesture of the drowned (the blue shell lunar) which newer players don't have access to by default. Also the unlock for gestures took me longer than this achievement so don't go out and get them first even if you are struggling to complete this.
Widnette I got this achievement by accident on my second run playing as railgunner after looping like 6 times, are you proud of me yet?
(This was with no artifacts and about 2 hours after the DLC launched at literally fucking 2AM Australian [side note: hoppo is offically anti-my sleep schedule])
Even with Artifacts, I till think it would take around two hours to get to the point where you can deal a million damage. That's just an extremely absurd number to reach.

You can actually do it with AtG! Since your supercharge has a 3.0 proc coefficient, it gives a much higher chance for an AtG proc, and the more you have, the more damage it deals. The other items help too though
@Metal Sign chance. Buuuuut within all likelihood you're critting with the shot that triggered the AtG, as crits on the triggering attack apply the crit scalar to the triggered item. (It's why some items seem to crit even though they can't, the game points out the collat-crit with the bonus damage making crit noises)

proc coeff is basically 'chance of something to activate, multiplied'
so mul-t with 0.6% would require 17 tri-tip daggers to hit 100% bleed with his m1
an 10% item becomes 30% if the proc coeff is 3.0, etc etc
@Metal Sign my guess would be, you probably heard someone saying some variation of 'higher proc coefficient equals more damage' cause they meant more chances to trigger an effect, which would mean more damage through items, and then you misremembering it as it meaning directly more damage instead of making it more likely to activate effects
but thats just my guess, i did see people saying it like that in the past, and can see how it'd confuse people

@metalsign7015 Certain proc items scale things other than their chance. Brilliant Behemoth, for example, scales its blast radius off of proc coefficient. I can't remember off the top of my head but a few do in fact scale damage off of proc coefficient, usually things that have guaranteed proc chances but still require a proc attack

If you don't play with command it's not the kind of achievement you get easily, one million would probably require a lot of loops
@@gerax2003 crowbar printer on sacrifice, infact I also recommend kin because if you get beetles and a good printer(crowbar, delicate watch, armor piercing rounds) you can knock it out fast

every time i think about this video, i get amazed by how much easier this could be done with the items that he said not to use. multiplicative damage tends to do more than stacking one single item. its even funnier that when he still wasn't doing enough damage, and he pulled the "yea just pick up more shaped glass lol"
How I did it: looped for ~20 stages, found a crowbar printer and remembered 'Hey, that achievement exists, doesn't it?', printed about 50 crowbars (not exaggerating) then spent the next couple of stages actually trying to avoid having a skill issue enough to hit the weak spot of an enemy with the R ability. I had only one attempt per stage because at that point my run was so busted that after firing a single shot, everything else on the stage from that point onwards would be instakilled by ceremonial daggers and whatnot. Ended up hitting a Solus Control Unit for 3M damage, then died to the Voidling because, after all, I do have skill issue (and the boss is bad IMO)

Artifact of glass and command make this one really easy. The damage bonus of glass artifact is multiplicative with other increases i.e delicate watch, shaped glass, etc. I'm pretty sure you can do it with artifact of glass, 5 shaped glass, some watches and crowbars, and either the crit chance 100% use item or the spinel tonic

I remember the good ol times, back when I got the achievement and only 0.1% of players had it... fun times. Incidentally, I got it without doing 1mil damage in 1 shot. I just got over 1mil dps

I’d hate to be that guy, but bands are incredibly helpful for this achievement, because they multiply the damage that caused the bands to proc. Also stacking crit shades to the sky makes your damage skyrocket. Using optic HUD doubles your crit damage
This video is a pure statement on how windy progressed as a content creator, it's fun to look back and see just how far he came, this video is more dynamic, and overall funnier, and more well-edited than the others.

In my first railgunner run, I ran into the giant jelly twice in a row, it's weak points are THE FUCKING TENTACLE TIPS, you try shooting that thing when you're being swarmed.

I've discovered that railgunner + lots of tougher times + lots of shaped glasses + movement speed = Point and Click Adventure.
You just have to dodge most attacks, the ones you get hit by get blocked by tougher times, anything you hit just *dies* so be decent with your aim, and maybe add in a few dio's to be safe if you really want.
i saw "inults" and now i suffer in the warning screen every week when i regularly watch this

@@Sophie-Pilled Bands aren't pure one shot, their dmg is separate from your attack.
Technically crit glasses (for railgunner, crit chance increases crit dmg instead) and yes AP rounds are useful for increasing raw base damage.
@@cassou124 I mean sure it's separate damage, but in ror2 one-shorting something never really needed to be a single hit. Otherwise, railgunner is the first survivor able to one-shot at all in terms of "pure base one shot". Even in the context of the achievement, doing 1 million damage in one shot isn't limited to the single hit of the shot. If you had 2 or 3 Runald's bands, an AtG, and procc'ed them both off of a snipe that did 100k damage, that all would total up to roughly 1M damage, and you would get the achievement

Usually helps if the first equipment you pick up during your frantic scramble is a scanner. Then you can see where everything is and cut down on running around like a headless chicken.

Whoa whoa, your warnings are the safest place in the video. You can’t take it away, it’s important to the foreplay before getting verbally fked lol
Singularity Band also counts if you catch enough dudes in the blast, since it scales off of the initial hit. Supercharge a shot on Gup, wait for the black hole to squish the bits, and apparently you get an achievement sometimes.
Also you should get different damage items as different items multiply each other
Four gestures also gives you full uptime, so if you have a decent bit of lunar coins you can get full uptime tonic by stage 2
The thing I love about this achievement is that I didn't know it existed until I already got it, It was also the first time I played Railgunner
For me I just hopped into a game with a friend, watched as his run spiraled into a god-run, and then just grabbed every shaped glass we could find in the newt shop as I got corpse-dragged to a million damage
Items:
A balance of crowbars, delicate watches, and crit glasses/laser scopes. (they multiply together) Shaped glass and spinel tonic will be big multipliers as well.
If you stack 5 ATG's and proc one, it'll do 15x the damage of the shot that procced it. You could stack even more if you want, but 5 is pretty good.
Notes:
Only get delicate watches/shaped glass when you're getting about 250k damage per ATG proc, as they're somewhat risky. (if you want you could just skip shaped glass entirely)
Keep in mind supercharge has a 3.0 proc coeffecient so ATG's have a 30% proc chance with that skill.
Spinel tonic should be used only when you're doing 500k damage per ATG proc, as it doubles your damage while the buff is active but it has a risk every time it's used.
As stated in the video, survivability and AoE are important, but don't overdo it.
This achievement was super easy to get with artifact of glass and command. Just get crowbars, runalds bands, and laser scopes

I got this achievement in my first god run where I tried going for the long haul challenge to get 57 leaf clover as artificer. I had 20+ crowbars, pink crystal white item thing, and armor piercing round. 10 glasses (crit item). And a whopping 250 delicate watches! Also 11 laser scopes. On top of that, some stuff where my healing damages enemies, ridiculous shield stuff, make your shots explode red item (even more damage), scorpion, some blue items and stuff to make my missle equipment fire constantly, and 40+ infusions. My highest damage dealt was over 2 BILLION!!
Oh right, something that I found that can increase your damage a ton is if you get more than one of the raw damage increasing items. So if you get a something like armor piercing rounds or delicate watch or whatever instead of another crowbar (assuming those two are your first ones), it dramatically increases damage because a new item square's the number of damage rather than multiplies (or so I heard from another vid). so on top of crowbar, get that other stuff. At least 1 of the other stuff. Or don't, idk. I'm still new, and going off of stuff i just learned.

Fun fact. Because of glitch, proc chains happening instantaneously during lag tricks the game into thinking it was all in one hit. I got this achievement accidentally while trying to get a good chain for the void boss.
After some research i learned that swarms actually halves the effect of sacrifice to make up for the increased monster count
To help with the process you could also just keep stacking lens makers
