QUOTING P. SUE BECKWITH, MD, HEAD COACH LISA BLUDER
“Congratulations to Maryland on an outstanding atmosphere. It was loud in there, it was hard to communicate, they did a great job getting behind the team at the right time. I’m really happy with this victory. We had four people with double figures, and Caitlin did natural Caitlin things which are spectacular.”

Thank you for editing in a way that the commentating/audio is still continuous when there are cuts to the next play. Subtle but much appreciated touch.

For ALL those saying Maryland played against Iowa n the refs read the damn box score, Iowa had 15 fouls n Maryland had 14. Iowa simply out played Maryland n won. No ref to blame, Iowa rebounded at key times n scored on those second chances. Idiotic to blame game on refs when your team was actually called for one less foul.

I recognize Iowa has a target on their back, so they get a performance out of teams that others dont get. But they really need to watch their D. They have huge leads and let a lot of points go. I love the Hawks, but that's a trend I've noticed. Obviously this was a great game though!

No, but it was a foul on Clark at 8:16 pushing the player out of bounds right in front of the Ref with no call at all, and without a comment about it from the announcers. Maryland is at home and the announcers are favoring Iowa. Smh. The Refs have been cheating for Iowa all season.

And Maryland didn't get away with any fouls tonight? Just so ya know Iowa was actually called for one more foul then Maryland was in the game. This ISN'T on the refs, Iowa hit key shots n won a good game don't ruin it with your pathetic blame the ref pathetic, lame, stal,n idiotic excuses.

@@jdneely9939 : No the Refs call key fouls to help them win the game. Iowa shouldn't be ranked in top 15, the Refs have been cheating for them.

😮 Maryland team were hacks, fouled nearly ever possession, the refs keep them in the game. Otherwise most of the Maryland team would of fouled out. I'm just glad no one was seriously injured.

Maryland had a chance to beat Iowa....lack of transitional defense, lack of points from the bench and no real rim protection. Clark's style of play is parallel to Sabrina Ionescu. I do not see Iowa going to the Final 4 given the tenacious style and pace of defense played by the SEC / ACC teams.

Iowa made it to the final last year. This year it has new blood in the team and has only lost one game. They had four team members in double figures in this game.Miss Clarke is filling stadiums. Her team are winning games. I have very little interest in basketball as a sport yet I sat and watched an American female college game..And it was a thing of wonder..

The Refs and the NCAA will make certain that this changes this season. They'll both make sure Iowa wins a Championship this season for sure. The very first trip on offense down the court for Maryland, they got fouled by Clark and instead called a travel against the opposing player, when it was clear Clark's feet were not set. The entire game saw call after call made against Maryland to keep them from winning. Iowa should have at least 4-5 losses but for the Refs cheating for them.
