Go back and watch how Bruce, Pallister and Schmeichel used to bark at the Class of '92 at set pieces and how Ince and Hughes would be giving instructions in open play. It's not just United of course. You could see it with Kompany at City, Terry at Chelsea, Gerrard and VVD at Liverpool. This is what the pundits are on about when they say there's not enough "leaders" and "characters" in the United squad. They're not wrong.

Man United might be underperforming and average this season, but we still somehow get a result out of the Liverpool match, and put a dent in their title challenge thanks to those two stunning goals from Bruno and Mainoo.
The fact that that's something to console yourself with is sad. United fans we're so used to mediocre that we're happy we put a dent in one team's title challenge so that another team (that's not us) can win the league. What about us? Don't worry about us, we won't even make top 5. Mediocre.

There's no point raging about how bad we were in large parts of the game. Losing concentration in the box again and not marking up from corners. I say that because we know where we are, we've seen it in so many times. So yeah let's celebrate the kids on the field today. Willy Kambwala had a really solid first full game and some goal from Mainoo.
Add to the fact that yesterday our under 18's team went to Liverpool and beat their youth team 9-1 and the future hopefully looks rosey regarding the youth coming through.

It's been such a disappointing season and it was disappointing not to win, but at the end of the day, it was so great still taking points off of Liverpool and awesome that they haven't beaten us this season. Still a lot of positives for next year. Hope Kambwala can be the next academy guy to become a regular. He looked great.

Seeing Bruno’s heat map he was literally everywhere. I feel if next season we get the right players especially in midfield and defence that can do a proper job, then Bruno can solely focus on what his known for and good at, being the main creator without worrying about covering every single blade of grass on the pitch
Made it to the game today and Bruno ~some poor first half passes aside~ was immense and OT noticed. As you say, the guy was ‘everywhere’ ~ you cannot question his heart and commitment; he scored a good goal too. Some of these “fans” just have clear agendas and it’s very dull.

Bruno is one of the reasons we're so poor in possession, can't hold onto a lead, wasteful in attack and concede so many shots. The amount of times he gives the ball aways cheaply is so embarrassing given the fact he's a midfielder and a captain. Losing the ball is part of football for a creative player but not when your supposed to retain the ball and build attacks. Both him a casemiro were dreadful on the ball. We need upgrades on the both of them as well as some underperforming players if we're to have any chance of building a successful team in the future.

At one point in the second half he tried running out with the ball from the edge of our box even though AWB was just ahead of him in space. If you would have told me at the beginning of the season we would have taken 7 points total away from Liverpool in three games, I would have thought you were nuts. Happy for it, although I really thought we should have won. And if we don't sign Mainoo to a 1000 year contract, we deserve the worst....that guy is a phenom!! After the 7-0 defeat to Liverpool. This season has been nice. I still have a massive smile on my face thinking back to the last min winner in the FA Cup. Season overall has been terrible but still could win the FA Cup which would sum the season up perfectly - madness!

1. Need to sign 2 midfielders (sell Casemiro and Amrabat) and build the midfield around Mainoo, so that he can play more of a box to box role. Mount/Bruno can occupy the more attacking role.
2. Get rid of the deadwood - Martial, Amrabat, Lindelof, Martial, DVB, Sancho and some others.
3. And of course we need to sign another CB, a RW and a CF/ST - and then we can properly judge ETH. But he needs to sort his tactics out so that we don’t concede so many shots/don’t lose so many games.
That last laugh got me lol. But it is crazy. Before this match, we've given up the 3rd most shots in the league but the fewest goals per shot. And then our Goals Against vs Goals Expected we're -10. This whole season has just been one big mind f***

We really really really need a new addition to the coaching stuff, that should be number 1 priority signing, A DEFENSIVE COACH, that can teach the team how to defend corners, set pieces and how to defend without leaving 20 plus meters of empty spaces

Right up to the last minute the game could have been lost, but yes, the expected thrashing was avoided with just the worry over Rashford. I was just glad to see that the selection was up for it against better opponents. Only one point in two games but periods of resilience and buds of quality showing in both.
OK. No more Big Six'ers left, but no chickens to be counted this wtf season: Bournemouth and Newcastle - the next two - each beat UTD 0-3 recently.

Well 3 weeks ago I would have said I will be the last one to support Ten Hag. But Im now loosing it Fast !!! His substitutions I can not relate to at all. They can't see a game out because there is no plan. And then when it comes to the last few minutes ETH puts on Defensive players to welcome pressure when they clearly have no idea how to defend. It's down to ETH having no tactics and organizational structure. Our games are just won and lost by invidual moments of brilliance/mistakes
to say we forced a young CB on and dont really have the defensive part of the team we would we did well. it was never a penalty end of the day just like chelsea so screwed over there.
its clear we need 2 CB's to replace Varane and Lindelof both need to be those types of players who are here to be first teamers. you then have Martinez and Kambwala and thats 4 CB's now all fighting for 1st team spots. Martinez we chalk off as an unlucky injury its first time hes been out for so long in his entire career so hope its just a freak year and not something that happens often now.
we also need a partner who can operate well with Mainoo and Bruno. a real ball buster who breaks up and covers ground and then allows Mainoo and Bruno to play to their strengths especially if we get 2 good CB's.
then all of a sudden the team is looking massively healthier, i do think a competitive LB needs to come in who is realiable to be called on and compete with shaw when he is fit. Dalot and AWB i think are fine atleast for now at RB as much bigger issues elsewhere. we could also do with an experienced striker who just has that bit about him to come in and rotate with Hojlund or even partner him when we go for it attack wise.
Mainoo is something special and he just cool with it like nothing
