Here's a tip. Make sure you have something to cover your console. After playing it, cool it down first and then cover it to prevent dust. I've been doing this to my PS4 and PS5.
Oh yes, I had my PS4 slim for seven years and it's never been clean but it's still working but I assume there's dust in the console. I still want to clean it though.

It can be many things, smoking is def a major one, bad pet shedding putting your console directly on the floor,and if you got roaches that def sucks cus they like to hide is motors or electronics since it’s warm. So yea bro. It can be other reasons but these are the most common.
