- This is my by far the biggest thing I have done in this channel. I'd like to thank my friend Jamie who went and filmed everything you are seeing here! We spent hours going around places to film different shots and I spent even more hours editing everything, also this was all recorded on my iPhone XS camera and I spent a total budget of £0 on this shoot! If you could describe to me, or give me a term I can look into, how do you get your guitar to sound complete for the studio recording? I record guitar and all I know how to do is throw on compression and an EQ after the effects. Still doesn’t sound like a studio recording, just a live play recording. How do you achieve the final studio sound of the guitar? (If this makes any sense) I use ableton btw if that helps
hi man! I use neural dsp's Archetype Petrucci plug in with the Scarlett solo audio interface to get my tone and for the first solo I used my boss katana mk2, so I do not use a microphone to record into an amp, is that what you do? If you do also use an audio interface or record direct from your amp, maybe it's not the guitar tone that's the problem but your mix. do you apply compression to your whole track? do different instruments use exact same frequencies which makes both instruments fight for presence. maybe try some studio recording techniques that you can't really emulate live like double tracking (panning left and right on each track if you want for width which is what I did with rhythm guitars) panning, adding more effects maybe. a good reverb will help, on of my favourite plugins is Valhalla supermassive which is totally free! hope this helps man and if you have any questions feel free to ask here or anywhere else!
@@LeroyGuitar yeah man it helped a lot, I use archetype Tim Henson mainly, and I also have a Scarlett solo as my audio interface. When I record from archetype into my MIDI, I just have a hard time finding how to mix properly to get more of a studio sound. So it seems like I have about everything you have, besides the mixing skills. Let’s say that I recorded my guitar with effects from archetype Tim Henson right onto my MIDI, as well as a drum beat I made and bass guitar, what should I do to the guitar to make it sound more post?
@@AntonioArgentoGuitar Well that's very subjective, but I might think about adding more guitar parts, maybe put some reverb on it. honestly man in terms of tone I don't do very much besides using neural dsp and reverb with my guitar

Hey dude! It’s incredible! Make sure to take off the string trees though and replace it with a better one because the string trees are not good. If not just take the D and G string tree off. I bought a graphtech string tree and it works almost flawlessly. Two point gotoh trem is super clean as well
