America desperately needs this health grading system. That would be an excellent shock to the system to motivate people to work out and eat healthy.
I think it would just be easier to remove food tax from healthy foods. Path of least resistance, poor ppl will eat anything cheap. Atm cheap is junk food.

With the liver test they don't actually test the liver itself, just the levels of certain enzymes in your blood/urine to see if they are elevated or not. So if you had recently had a binge drinking night or took Tylenol the day before the levels could be high when you took the test.
Coming from a guy who had to go the hospital for acute liver failure twice before my 21st birthday, I think you'll be fine

I have Auditory Processing Disorder whereby my ears hear the words etc but my brain just doesn't process the sound so I have to make educated guesses as to what people are saying using context & lip reading. Way back in the 80s/90s the doctors just said I wasn't concentrating/listening but a few years ago I saw a different specialist after getting fed up with it all & they explained what was actually going on. I did a hearing test with her & my hearing is actually above average for my age. So might be worth going to a specialist Joey 💙💚💜💛❤
Yeah that shit is real common in people who have ADHD, like me. My medication actually helps a lot, before then it was like my brain was constantly lagging. I still prefer to watch shows and movies with subs on though just in case my brain has sudden ping spikes from time to time.
@@fluidthought42 I had no idea it was common with ADHD, though it kinda makes sense when I think about it. I'm really glad your medication helps you 😊 I'm on several meds for different conditions & I think they probably exacerbate it, if anything, but I can't live without them so I just make do - I have my coping strategies & my friends know what's going on but if I'm having issues in public then I'll just tell the cashier or whomever that I have hearing issues as that's easy for everyone to understand. I too have subs on all the time too, just makes life so much easier 🙂
Just curious when you found out that you had APD did the dr put you on anything to help with it? My hairing is also tested to be above average but i also have these processing issues.
I have the same problem. My parents never believed me, because I got a check up without them💀
@@mikeunleashed1 i find it interested that most of the people who I met with this issue have hearing above the average like us three in here. Btw I didn’t get any meds and I want to know the same from the person who wrote this post
i kinda like the idea of geting a grade of your body, it would help me improve something that is bad in my body, i would just get mad and work to get the grades up 😂
I'm kind of curious what grade I am XD. Probably like C or D because I don't work out and I eat fruits not too often.
As someone who gets pretty regular blood tests, I can confirm whatever you were doing the night before has a big impact on the result. Also, I've been told many times by doctors in the UK that some people will naturally read a little high or low on the average ranges, so the tests are more informative once they have a baseline for you. But that makes sense, right? The expected ranges are based on averages from studies of participants thought to be generally healthy, but often this will be restricted to say enlisted military aged 20-25 etc. And it turns out that doesn't map to a general population for long term health outcomes.
Well there's one big difference between Japan and the us. In the US your health records are private between you and your medical professionals. You only really have to tell your company that you are available for work or you're not.
Not anymore with the covid vaccine and employers mandating it.
@@maddiesiegmund5623 I have heard that, mine has not, kind of hard to do that when I work mostly at home. This will get a court challenge, and it likely will come out that government can but private orgs cant mandate. And there will be a political fight. Either the HIPPA is law or not.
make sense when the health care is fking expensive and graded on how rich and connected you are 🤔️
@@GForce162 That has nothing to do with your personal health being private information or not. Nations with many different kinds of health care systems value the privacy of your information and experience more to than Japan appears to, including the UK's NHS.
You also don't need "connections" for decent health care in the U.S. I know the world is scary but it still isn't Cyberpunk lol.
@@TheNobleFive there’s report on people literally saying ‘we got connection’ for covid vaccine when others waited in line for whole day being told it’s out of supply. It’s that f up in real life

Medical Lab Scientist and fan from the US here, yeah if y'all drank and ate that much beforehand (even though it was days prior) your cholesterol and liver panels are gonna be off. They typically ask that you fast _at least_ more than 8 hours before your blood is drawn, but I typically just don't eat dinner the day before and then get my blood drawn the next morning.
The important thing is that as long as you don't have any worrying symptoms then you should be fine, but definitely something to keep in mind. Just _git gud_ guys (jk).
Love y'all (*˘︶˘*).。*♡
Fun fact: if you eat anything really fatty before you get your blood drawn, when we spin down your tube samples, the plasma straight up just looks like fat
(・∀・);;;
Would def still recommend getting your values rechecked in a few months just to double check that it was just the _festive times_ throwing them off. And talk to your doc or whoever you see if you're concerned.
JOEY! Liver problems aren't just from alcohol. If you take tylenol or other otc painkillers, those are really bad for your liver if taken too often
damn the editing on this especially for the cholesterol is really good.
Medical lab scientist here again! I just want to give one caveat to my opinion here: I’m a medical microbiologist, so I’m not as experienced with chemical testing like cholesterol, triglycerides, protein testing etc. I primarily work with infectious disease, and I particularly work with bacteria, not viruses. But I did go to school for medical lab science in general, so I have some education on this. Anyway, onto Conor’s cholesterol! That is a fasting test, so you have been fasting when they took your blood, so they could get readings at a baseline metabolic level. The things you’ve eaten recently shouldn’t have an effect on that. Of course, since I’m not a physician, and since I’m not as experienced with clinical chemistry, I’d get a second opinion, but that is what I think about the situation.
The notes on the sides are actually really helpful!!
“Its not that I’m deaf, its that I don’t listen”
I relate to that on a spiritual level🤣

i like the tips on the side
In my uni in Germany the test results were also publishes publicly. Not in front of the uni but on the bill board in front of the office of the corresponding professor.

B- Bad
C - Catastrophic
D - Dead

I remember when I was at MEPS the do everything. For the hearing sit you in a booth with tight ass headdphone and they mix and match the sounds from high pitch to low pitch. If I remember correctly I had a decent score
This is the thinking man's channel.
My grandma told me that back when she went to high school in Canada, they straight up published everyone’s grades in the newspaper with their names. So… we used to do it at some point here as well. Luckily not any more.

In Japan they give you numbers at an entrance exam and you just have to see if your is there or not. In Romania, the list with all the scores in order is there, grade right next to name. I can't say it is that bad. Unless you are either the first or the last; then you really stand out and is bad.
My school grades us on social skills barely past the last couple years
Fatty liver disease is caused by fructose. The western diet high in sugar and carbs is now the leading cause of fatty liver disease (rather than alcohol). Abnormal cholesterol is almost certainly due to insulin resistance, which occurs from eating all the time (from waking to sleeping) and eating foods that spike insulin alot such as carbs. Fructose induced fatty liver will cause insulin resistance and bad cholesterol.
Basically. Eat less sugar, less carbs and don't eat all the time (time restricted eating)
Just in case no one has explained those results to you.

I gotta say though, the most irritating thing about BMI is that it's bullshit but every country keeps using it. Like why? Anyone with above average muscle mass and below average height is just screwed. Like me.
Like I workout a lot, so I got a pretty large amount of muscle mass and I'm short af, so when I got weighed in school they were dividing us up into groups based on BMI so that during gym class (it's not called that it's called PE but I guess gym leads to less misunderstandings), they could train us to be less fat for army. And I promptly was put into the overweight group. So my gym teacher walks over and sees me standing around with a bunch of plus sized people and tells me to go back to my group. I tell him to check his list. He checks his list. He tells me (this guy was a pretty cool teach) that I legally had to join them for the entire exercise routine, so as far as he was concerned I had most definitely attended, and marked my attendance and told me to piss off. I got my workout done early that day.
I was told I probably have auditory dyslexia, that's a new one
