i know conventions are a whole other beast but lots of cards shops round me just see pokemon players as easy marks or something and have no investment in their relationships w customers, i rlly appreciate you taking the time to look through and compliment ppl’s collections who just come to show you, collecting is awesome but it’s even more awesome when you are free to share it with others and you are great at encouraging both. thank you
I agree with this comment for the most part. Not a lot of people in our own day to day travels when collecting really mention the appreciation of true collecting. It’s all about what’s worth more. Honestly the world is moving too fast due to social media. Everyone wants the best and most expensive, or talk about others who have those things. I like a slower life. Appreciate it more that way.
I just mentioned the same thing in one of Rudy's comment sections on a comment someone had said. Things are moving too fast. Everything is about the line charts and candle sticks. But really, those are the losers. The winner have patience and genuinely enjoy collecting, trading, and selling. My mom always taught me "good things come to those who wait" over and over again. Let it go up and down. After a few years, it's going to automatically be worth more anyways. I collect Pokemon primarily to just trade and sell to fund my Magic card addiction lol. But that doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the collecting and interactional process of the whole thing. Which is why I do it! And I just sell at whatever fair market price is. It's not about profit for me, its just about getting a bit of my money back on a box so I can try again to see if I can pull what I REALLY wanted.
This everyone only cares bout there own collection it's fun to see others collection as much as it is to look at my own.
"I like that this scam artist shakes my hand before he scams me" you ARE an easy mark.
The entire TCG selling community is rich guys who have money to burn buying shit in bulk and making an obscene profit selling overpriced cardboard to people with poor impulse control.
I feel like the people who say things like this are the type of people who think they found a stripper that's really interested in them because her smile touched her eyes once.
The fact that you remember past customers and to see you genuinely get excited to see them is just awesome.
Kid: "Would you do it for $30?" Coop: "I'd do it for $25". This is why Coop is the best.

I think it’s difficult for parents to drop 30$ on cardboard, but once they see coop being nice and genuine while lowering the price, they are willing to spend the cash with no hesitation lol

My 7yr old son and I have been growing a collection for about 4 years. It’s not big, but we both really enjoy it so when we have the extra money we’ll get a couple packs and see what we find. I just read a news article about you and how you light up so many kids days at these collectors events and I had to come subscribe! I have to say as a mom, I’m very proud of you! It’s like Coop came from the late 90’s. Down to earth. Into the true collecting but still making money. It’s the wholesome interactions like these where you wish the world didn’t revolve around money and everyone’s needs were met without having to struggle. So we can have these great times with each other a lot more.
this is exactly why i watch Coop.. it brings me back to when i was a kid and buying/trading basketball cards. I met a lot of nice people back then that I won't forget. And Coop has that same kindness from that era that I remember.

I used to be obsessed with Pokemon but I was shamed by my friends for liking them thus i distanced myself and outgrown it.
I remember collecting pogs(those circle card thingies) and exchange them for a Pokemon toys and cards, if i completed a collection.
Watching your videos awakened my old love of pokemon. You're awesome.

Without Pokerev and other big influencers these card shows wouldn't happen as often. You can have both small and big communities; it doesn't have to be one or the other.

i watch pokerev for pack opening and coop for interaction, both are good in their own aspect.
The kid who collects Trainers, kinda pretty cool, never thought about collecting them, they're super powerful tools, like why have I never thought to collect them specifically.

As a die hard pokemon and ravens fan. Hang onto that card, Zay is an absolute beast, he broke numerous rookie records for the ravens and is set to have an amazing sophomore year. Loved seeing ya get that card!
