I saw the title and something in me went 'Oh sweet an upload from like 3-4 years ago, i'm glad Ray was enjoying AC2'
And then I remembered that 2017 was 7 years ago and I withered like a goddamn husk.

I remember playing for the first time as a kid, when Juno talked directly to us/desmond I was mind blown. I was hooked on the AC games forever after that

Ah, back when Ray was indifferent to the story of the games he played. Yakuza really turned him around, and for the better.
Still fun to see one of my favorite games ever come back like the Ezio Collection did. They included Embers and Lineage, too!

@@JohnWick-rh1zz mmmmmmmmmmm more like he doesn't care if it doesn't pull him in with something. He is still pretty hard headed when it comes to good stories that don't have the best start, or the gameplay doesn't suit him. He is WAY better now than he was during these times, but he still has a lot to shake off.
Yakuza really is the extreme outlier. It's changed him for the better yeah, but even now with how he talks about some games, it's still super surprising to see him enjoy Yakuza.

The best part is you don't need to go all the way down the ladder, just press to the side and Ezio flips to the other side, so him climbing back down every time is even more hilarious

50:03 the classic assassins creed experience
His issue (and apparently a lot of people back then) is mashing buttons. He's confused why he randomly jumps off ladders or jumps onto people from the sides of buildings, but that's because he's just mashing the A and B buttons (respectively). The controls of the early AC games are very precise, you have to press the exact buttons you mean to press, not just mash randomly.

Been playing this collection on Series S, and one odd thing I've noticed is the FPS boost has sped the map screen up insane amounts. Its super speedy to use now, almost awkwardly so 😅

I did get mad at Ezio for throwing away Altair's sword though. I might have said something along the lines of "Do you know how hard I worked to get that for you?! You go pick that up right now! This is why we can't have nice things."
