So I’m wondering, how can you (and many other CZcamsrs) use these (Disney) songs without youtube shutting down your channel? 🤷‍♀️
I tried to find the answer thousand times (google, youtube, etc) but I couldn’t find any information anywhere.
Hundreds CZcamsrs use Disney musics on their channels, and it looks like I'm the last one in the whole world who doesn't understand how this is possible. 😂
So, I'm so sorry to bother you with this question, I really don't like bothering busy people with crazy questions but PLEASEEE,
if you have a chance one day, could you send me please a quick answer, how this thing works in practice?
- How do CZcamsrs use famous/popular musics and not get copyright strikes?
- If you don't monetize your CZcams video, can you use copyright music?

Hi Lili! This is very interesting topic and I wish other creators can jump on it! I use copyrighted music all the time in my videos and I get a message: "A copyright owner using Content ID has claimed some material in your video.
Your video is live and the visibility settings you selected remain applied to it. But it is now either being monetized by the copyright owner, or they have chosen to receive analytics about it.
This is not a copyright strike. This claim does not affect your account status"
it means I don't make any money from this video and all the earnings from the advertisements go to the copyright owner.
All of my videos are monetized.
You can only use copyrighted music in your non-monetized video if you have a permission from the copyright owner.
Some of the copyright owners share revenue with you. But it's very rare. And it is not music from the top-40 or even 100. Disney does not share revenue.
There are more nuances to it, but I hope I answered your questions!
