De kuip and fans really seems to give the players from Feyenoord an extra advantage in their European run. Best to them but hope we draw them in Europe league:)

for the people who say that there was no atmosphere, the atmosphere seemed like a final atmosphere, it was not normally loud for 45 minutes and then it was a bit quieter because it became more exciting, it was one of the best evenings of my life and oh yes, those blocks being cordoned off is for TV viewers because otherwise you can see those poles through
De Kuip on a big match day is always immense. Another poor UEFA CL performance from Celtic. Feyenoord my favourite club outside UK.
Wouldn’t say poor performance, Celtic had chances and were in the game for 60 minutes. The penalty decision ruins the game, it is never a foul. I’ve seen much worse celtic games in the champions league
I see allot of Celtic fans saying it was a poor performance of them. Tbh, as a Feyenoord fan I thought Celtic gave us the hardest game this season so far. We couldn’t play out normal game and we were pressed in a way that we just couldn’t keep possession for too long. I think it was a good match for Celtic from my perspective because I know how well our team can play and it didn’t look like it yesterday. And it seems like you guy share the same feeling for your team. So in a way we share the same believes that both our teams have played awful but the only positive for my club is that we won.

Great Video and lovely scarf ;). The reason the yellow side (stands in front of you) were closed off, is that Feyenoord is forced to play with nets around the field ever since the Klassieker in the KNVB Cup of last year. However since those nets block the camera the UEFA opted to remove the nets in front of the camera and leave only those stands empty.

I was on the yellow side left from you behind the goal. Another amazing night. Celtic is my favorite team in Scotland and we share quite some history. The match was nervous at the beginning and Celtic played well but getting two red cards was totally unnecassary. Second half Feyenoord was better and deserved to win.
As a Celtic fan i agree ..This game came too quick for us as team have injuries to main players the now and also some new players just stuck into team for game last night ..But Feyenoord deserved win in end ..See u guys at Celtic park in Scotland .

I am a season ticket holder from vak Z. Reason it was closed off was because of the consequences from last year still i think… would have thought it was a new season with new chances for supporters also, but I unfortunately couldn’t be more wrong… great game tho! Happy I was able to see it from another stand 🔴⚪️⚫️ far play to Celtic also. They outplayed us in the first half. Their away fans were also very good.

They closed it because they are scared people will misbehave again. And since you cant have nets in front of the camera, they just left the whole stand empty.
Feyenoord uses this bs argument for many years.
It's to appease uefa maffia. They want to 'show' ideal television and fans in the picture disturb that image.
It is done on purpose to trigger hardcore Feyenoordfans.

Great video I was in the ground not far left from you. A regular at The Kuip. To answer your question on the stand closure - feyenoord has had problems with people throwing things on the pitch (like rest of the league). At Eredivisie games there is a netting up but uefa doesn't allow that. Therefore to avoid any issues they just closed that part of the stand.
The youll never walk alone was amazing with the feyenoord fans and celtic fans

Vak Z is closed off because they can’t have nets around the whole pitch during European matches. So to prevent fines and things being thrown on the field they closed if that section
Een sjaal zou wel nice zijn.
En het vak was leeg omdat we door slecht gedrag van supporters netten om het veld hebben die de uefa niet voor hun cameras wou, dus de netten moesten weg en ook de supporters die daar dan zouden zitten.

Sector (z) is closed because normally there are nets around the whole stadium and people on tv cant see shit because camera is too high. And for european they closed section Z so the cameras can be placed at normal hights and people cant throw shit at field

The reason that section was closed is because the UEFA did not permit to have netting in front of it (does not look good on TV). Therefore to not take any changes they closed that section so nothing can be thrown on the pitch and result in huge fines (which happened quite regularly before). All other sides of the stands had netting and could therefore be left full.

the block in front of you was closed because, one time a feyenoord fan misbehaved and trew a lighter in the head of a player. so the uefa and the knvb told them that feyenoord has place nets all around the field, but if they place nets they have to put the camera for tv higher or you have to look trough the nets and the uefa also didnt want that. so they had to close the block so they can take of the nets at that side and the camera can be put at normal height.

Normally there are nets around the field for security and problems in the past with objects / firework thrown to the field. Part downstairs closed because the UEFA don't want nets before the TV camera's. So thats why that part of stadium was closed for Feyenoord fans.

"Complete Chaos" definitely not in the stands, what a library for most of the game.
They are afraid that people throwing stuff on the field. They have hang a net around the field, but due to FIFA guidelines with TV broadcasts, no nets are allowed on this side.

On the side with the empty sections, there was no safety net, so it wouldn't disturb the view for television. Consequently, the stand had to stay empty.
