- Hi guys,
Today we crack on with building the Mini Art 1/16th French Napoleonic Cuirassier. This build has taken me over 3 years at least as I keep picking it up and putting it down, I have been hanging out to build a nice 1/35th scale tank, so I forced myself to finish something before I was allowed to start a new kit 😊
Great fun to build and paint, a few challenges along the way but ultimately that all just adds to the experience, and I learnt a couple of new things along the way.
Thanks for taking the time to watch, I really appreciate it. I hope you enjoy the video and look forward to your comments below. Keep safe and well.
Cheers, Glen - Jak na to + styl
Good idea for the reins! I used black electrical tape.
Hello sir, the white horses and greys they were all reserved for the trumpets. It was a means of locating them in the melee of battle. greetings.
Joyful video.
Many thanks!
That's a superb build and a very sccessful rescue. I've never done anything at this scale but I've filed away a few things to remember in case I ever try something similar. I like MiniArt kits, they produce some interesting subjects.
Thanks Ian, despite the issues it was fun to build and paint, i will definately be doing more of these in the future, just without any of the self induced problems hopefully 👍👍👍
Great job on the Nappy horseman. A shelf queen gets finished.....Hooray! Enjoyed your problem solving techniques. Best wishes.
Bill
Thanks Bill, yes one down with about 5 more to go 😂
Cracking job, congrats from France!
Thanks Phil, much appreciated 👍
Fantastic end result and well rescued top class job Glen. Steve will be wetting his shorts with you talking about rubbing things 🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol, thats a distrubing thought 😱 Thanks Greg, it was a fun kit to build and paing, inspite of the issues with the back 👍
You did a great job Glen nice work marra . Regards Gav.
Many thanks Gav, it was nice to paint something that i could actually see 🤓🤓🤓
Working on it now
I hope you enjoy the build, some issues but all can be overcome 👍
nice change in topic with outstanding result, but really looking forward to the tiger. Stu
Thanks Stu, I have started putting the Zim stickers on the Tiger, fiddly but they dont look too bad, i have a full day ahead of me at the bench today so should make some good progress 👍
Greetings from Thornbury, that was a fantastic build and paint job, it's a period I am very ,much interested in, I am a fan of Richard Sharpe, take care mate, catch you again soon.
Thanks Les, much appreciated mate. I am with you, i love the period and am a big fan of the French forces, many years ago I had a fairly decent 28mm MiniFigs French Army, but sadly sold it all back in the day when woman had become more interesting than war gaming 😂
Hey Glenn outstanding my friend. Like how your mixing it up on your builds. I did a larger scale figure once really liked it. But definitely had to learn different techniques. So I went smiling all the way back to 1/35 scale. Haha.
Hi Clay, thanks mate. It was good painting something i could actually see for a change, but you are right a few different techniques required and also less opportunity to hide mistakes at this size. My zim just got delivered by the postie so i am just having a coffee and then i am into the Tiger build 👍👍👍
Nice work mate, I like the still pics. You made this kit look not like a Mini Art kit :)
Thank you very mcu, I am glad you liked it 👍
Got my coffee. Off we go. =)
Instant or espresso???☕☕☕
@@HalidonDioramas Instant White coffee with hazelnut flavour and a pinch of cinnamon powder. Fyi: Nice build !!!
Very niiiiice (in an outrageous French accent) I have this kit and it has taken me about 4 years too.....ha ha ha. I have done the horse and that's it..... One day I will do the rider...What a shame that you had to redo that cuirass but you did an amazing job rescuing it. Par excellence mon ami
Merci beaucoup Duke, Certainly not my fastest work, but got there in the end, I do enjoy watching his spin around on the stand and certainly want to do more of the 1/16th figures. 👍
Really nice job. I’m actually doing the Mini Art Roman Legionnaire right now. I’m trying using real metal foil for the armour. Had any luck with that stuff.
Thanks Bob, much appreciated. I havent tried that but it sounds bloody excellent, would love to see some pics of how it turns out 👍
Wiiiilllllburrrrrr! You are a sick puppy. Your trooper is GREAT. So, too, his horse. Super job all around. What did you do for the nameplate on the base? It looks so good.
Thanks Lazza, I was a big fan of Mr Ed, fair to say i had some wicked thoughts about Mrs Post as a young fela!!! The name plate on the turntable is just printed on gloss photo paper, i forgot to cover it in the video, but the flag is the flag of the 5th Regiment which the figure is based upon 👍
@@HalidonDioramas The late (2009) Connie Hines as Carol Post. Not bad for back in the day. The show was a pisser.
“Cruelest of all places”, 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤫
Un errore, il cavallo bianco lo avevano solo i trombettieri nei corazieri
Ma l'ha preso in prestito perché il suo cavallo è diventato zoppo il giorno prima 👍
