I really wish you reviewed everything on this planet. You really are straight to the point. No crazy slogans, and you even put my fellow southern peeps to silent because it doesn't fit their opinion of a type of truck they would want for their needs. I bust out luaghing in the video. Images were enough and helpful through the voice-over. It just felt real and genuine of the average truck owner.
I agree with your perspective about this being a 'real truck'. It's a small truck, but it's a real truck. Waiting on my my23 hybrid XLT. Thanks for this video.
I'm looking forward to taking delivery of my '23 within the next week as it's expected to arrive at the dealership this weekend. I hope to find it as enjoyable and versatile as everyone else has found it to be. I've had several full-sized trucks and only last summer have I ever used one near its full capability. That said, there was nothing I used my truck for that I couldn't have also used a Maverick for. So, why not go for something more practical, maneuverable, easier to get in and out off, efficient, and perhaps a little sportier to drive? I'll happily take the 8-10 mpg increase, ability to park easier, and budget friendly price any day.
@@alex_thecarguy Thanks man, I think my dealers trying to screw me into selling an AWD hybrid. All I know hybrid only comes with the 2.5 engine and not the 2.0 ecoboost right?
Great review. Honest first hand experiences on how and what you use it for should be the way more people share feedback on vehicles. Wish it came with a 6' bed option. I'd never need seating for 4. Don't need that size bed for hauling large items. More for having a camper shell to sleep in on weekend camping trips. Seems like this vehicle is perfect for your needs. Thanks for sharing.
I own one, when I seen the trailer hitch on another Maverick, rear end hit , I added a bumper , out the trauiler Hitch ( agood step for bed, , now Im thinking to put thru the hitch , to the spare tire , a 2x2 in steel extend thru to contant spare
I notice that your window visors cover the whole door. I recall seeing another video showing the ford ones were short by a few inches. What brand are yours?
On sept 19,23----I ordered a hybrid XLT, when the ordering banks were open. I ordered a engine block heater, (as I live in a northern state) a rear sliding window, co-pilot 360 and a rear hitch. I will probably never use the rear hitch, but think it looks better being on. I have a ford f150 4x4 that I bought 7 years ago, now has 47,000 miles on. So if I need to haul or pull anything I have that. I ordered the hybrid mainly for the gas mileage. Hope I get my maverick at some point, but hope the people that ordered before me, get theirs first. I have three Vehicles to drive. And also retired, so I don't need to go anyplace, if I don't want to. Cheers
I ordered my plain Jane XL hybrid on Sept. 18th and just got scheduled last week for May 8th. Seems like they are scheduling alot more now so don't give up hope! Keeping my fingers crossed really helped 😂
Hey bud nice reviews. I'm planning on ordering a 2024 but I'm iffy on the interior plastic. I test drove a 2023 last week and was nearly turned off by quality of the interior. How is yours holding up? I have an 01' f150 I've had since 2007 and even that plastic interior feels bullet proof compared to the Mav. Has it been a concern for you at all? I take care of my stuff and I'm one of those people that likes to buy stuff that will last a good decade or more. Appreciate it ya
As far as the finish, it stains and wears down like regular plastic, but it hasn't been cracking or showing defects, so I really can't complain. I'd say it's just on par with other offerings in the price range.
Love the review. I agree everyone should do research on the vehicle they are interested in. That way there are no surprises or disappointments after purchasing. I love my Maverick and like you it does what I needed to do for my daily driver but I still like to baby her
Thinking about getting one. I live on a ranch and find myself wanting something with a bed to go run errands without having to drive the f350 everywhere. The maverick seems pretty decent for throwing some feed bags and whatnot in the bed while also guzzling less fuel.
I wanted the hybrid, ( the "ECVT" has teeth and gears not a belt driven drivetrain,( uses planetary gears so cool) ), but bought the first one I found at a dealership, was a Tremor, and now I really love it, the suspension alone is now a must have for me, speed bumps, and potholes feel like nothing. but the 20 mpg is really lame compared to 30-40 with the hybrid, or even the non Tremor Gas models get a few more MPG than the Tremor. The Hybrid actually gets worse Highway MPG than City. so if you have a lot of 65mph+ FTM roads, hybrid could be getting Real world MPG of 27-32. The Turbo charged ECO boost in the Gas model is fun, regardless of MPG.
I got a colorado. I know exactly what u mean by the "that ain't a real truck." My toy truck huals everything I need it to do, and I still get 20+ miles per gallon.

@@tjandfriends8643 That's correct, there is no AWD hybrid

I’d love to see the Maverick as a 2 door truck with a larger bed as well. But I think with the unibody construction that would be difficult.

They are supposedly adding another shift in July to get some of the backlog out and satisfy the demand.

Fair enough. Really hope they go with a gray or black plastic interior for next Gen, atleast with the black out package.
1st. Your video is great and damn funny.
2nd. FORD get some OT going I want my Maverick!

If it works for your use case, that's what matters the most.
cute pupper. what is it? glad to hear its been a positive exp with the maverick. i want one
She's a border collie. So far she really loves to eat trash and punch people in the groin.
You sleep with your glasses on? 😂
Gotta see what I'm dreamin
I like the Maverick, but it’s not a truck. It’s a car with a tiny truck bed.
