I saw her being interviewed by Marlo Thomas on the internet... This show takes phone calls from fans. One of the question to Fonda was how do you look so amazing at your age. I couldnt believe her honesty? I'm paraphrasing "It takes a hellva lot of money, excellent surgeons and access to the best makeup artist in the world.
Have loved them both forever.....Have always had a silly crush on Mr. Redford....I have to say.....You can see in this clip, as well as on Ellen....Jane would LOVE to probably continue the relationship OFF camera. Her gentle passion for him is almost palpable...

And, Robert Redford is a good looking man. Always was and still looks good for his age. I respect the fact, that he doesn't like love scenes. And, that doesn't like doing them. He has always carried himself as a man should. Never arrogant. Knows when to talk and not to. He does t like all this Hollywood hype. He doesn't care for ATTENTION, the way some stars do. He's a man of an integrity in its own place. He's well balanced.

I loved this film; every aspect of it. I watch it often, knowing I'll always come away from it in a good frame of mind. To see two consummate professionals interact with each other, knowing that in real life, they do like/love each other, as colleagues & friends, in the best sense of the words. Please film industry, more films of this caliber...an absolute gem. See it!!

I just feel that Robert Redford is really a down-to-earth real people I don't think that he's a phony and I believe he treats everyone the same at least that's how I've always felt my whole life ever since I saw him with Natalie Wood that it was over for me. I fell madly in love.

Because most people are living longer today than ever before due to a better understanding about health and about the art of medicine, this movie is very relevant in our society today. This movie is something that is a “must see” for people of all ages. It not only brings up the topic of the beauty of the blossoming of new romantic love in older age, but it points out that our older generation has to deal with so much: raising children, raising grandchildren, the difficulty of losing youthful agility, the reality of coping with past sorrows/regrets/mistakes, the death of peers/friends/spouses, and the ridicule of somewhat jealous & judgmental peers, who feel that the elderly should suppress or not have newly acquired romantic feelings or romantic relationships at all.
This film speaks out against the unspoken values of our society, which is that our society is obsessed with and pays homage to youthful beauty & glamour, and it discards the importance of our older generation, who are seen as being of little value due to loss of mental and/or physical agility. Ms. Fonda & Mr. Redford use their craft as actors, in an entertaining way, to make a statement about the importance and dignity of our venerable older generation, who still have much to contribute to our society.
If Mr. Gene Siskel & Mr. Roger Ebert were still alive today, I think that they would both give this film a “thumbs up.”

Wow, Fonda is right on the ball. I like Redford, but he appears to be a man who's had people cater to him for most of his life and in that happening, never was out of his comfort zone for too long. Here he struggles with the hearing thing, which my father had also and it can be maddening just trying to understand.
I think Mr. Redford was having a difficult time hearing.. Missing the conversation and talking points is sometimes looked at as being passive. yea...hearing is less for handsome , handsome Redford! Lke a good friend, Jane covered for him a few times. They are cool !!
He is obviously stubborn about not wearing a hearing aid when he needs one.
He damaged his hearing in «All is lost».
I hated the ending to the Movie... Huge Frankie and Grace fan... I Adore Jane Fonda... found myself in Awe of her many many times through my life... Mr Redford... can still give me Butterflies...

Robert Redford's characters are always so aloof in every movie. Jane looks good.
Jane Fonda has been an idol of mine since my 20s and I'm in my 60s. I think she made some mistakes but i admired her bravery in taking a strong stand against the Vietnam War. And, over the years, she's always doing something new, reinventing herself, becoming more aware. She has a LOT of energy - still.
Jane and Robert are extremely good-looking people, even now. Jane has had cosmetic surgery. She doesn't hide it. There's nothing plastic about it, unless they have chin or cheek implants, which many have. People mock these people for having cosmetic surgery, but in their industry, their looks are it, basically. Any woman past 45 working in Hollywood has had a facelift or some other procedure on her face. Men don't seem to do well under the knife. They always look done. Women can really improve things with the right surgeon. And, that's the key. Jane has a fabulously talented surgeon. She has good bone structure, yes, but so does Faye Dunaway, and Faye's face work has been badly done. This is a woman who was absolutely gorgeous in Bonnie and Clyde. Jane also maintains her figure. It's important for these people to remain thin also, which also ages the face. So, they basically have to have cosmetic surgery. Michelle Pfeiffer is another one who has a very talented surgeon. She looks great. She also keeps herself thin.
She definitely made some mistakes. One that I know of that caused our soldiers, prisoners of war, to be tortured...after she turned a note he'd given her over to the Vietnamese. We should NOT have been in the Vietman war, it was political. But she was a traitor to our country & to our troops. Has she ever apologized for that? I've certainly never heard it if she has.

Glad that question was asked about their characters regarding Barefoot in the Park, I would have loved if they could catch up with those characters through out life to now with them in their 80s...they are wonderful together💗

Robert Redford looks BETTER than he did 40 years ago, Jane IS better. I love them both.
Yes, he does. As for hope I HOPE she is better. What she did during the Vietnam war was traiterous. Caused many of our POWs -- who were already in hell in the "Hanoi Hilton" -- to be tortured, from turning a note that one had given her over to the Vietnamese. She NEVER should've gone there.

Want to see them again in a love story with a happy ending, they are still here and it would be great, just a movie with deep dialogue, and a life time of events, feelings and expectations and acceptance of a rhythm that has become a life together in a long marriage.

I read the book and look forward to the movie. I workout on CZcams with Jane's 25 minute workouts. I admire Jane and her enthusiasm for her career and living and sharing is an inspiration. I do not appreciate her politics and someone who grew up financially privileged has rose colored glasses on.

I love both Jane and Robert in films. They are not my favorite actors, but they have had some tremendous performances.
Jane's performance in Klute, which won her an Oscar, was one of the top performances by an actor that I have ever seen. The scene of her crying has to be up there with the best scenes ever. The final seen by Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain is another one. The raw emotion was so powerful and so memorable.
And Redford is just so damn handsome, it's worth watching his movies just to look at him. Only a few other actors - Paul Newman, Tyrone Power, Errol Flynn come to mind - had that kind of screen beauty. But I LOVE the movie Three Days of the Condor. It ranks up there with my favorites of all time. Redford was great in that movie. Sydney Pollack was a fabulous director. He and Redford collaborated several times, and they were all hits.
i loved that film too. Paul Newman has to be one of the most handsome men to have ever walked the earth. I would say that River Phoenix had the same kind of screen beauty like Harrison FOrd said you couldn't take your eyes off him on screen. I havent watched Brokeback since Heath's passing but the movie is burned into my brain because its so brilliant and heartbreaking especially that scene and especially now. I think Heath is one of the greats. I dont know if Jane and bob are single but wouldnt it be fab if they did get together. i really need to watch more jane fonda films. I love how her eyes dance when he speaks she is such a gem. Robert is as sexy as ever.

I read about robert Redford some interview he at young from America to Europa to travel and study in france and in italy europe was an important esperienza di vita e di artista il viaggio è soggiorno studio in Europa di un giovane robert Redford è stato molto importante come esperienza , non so bene ma c è una certa tradizione in America Inghilterra Germania spesso dopo gli studi da giovani fanno un viaggio e soggiorno in Europa e in particolare in Francia e Italia , ci sono romanzi libri anche di inizio 900 di questa diciamo usanza tradizione nei paesi anglosassoni e anche romanzi di inizio 900 di autori tedeschi
