This is one of my favorite NF songs. This whole damn song is a quotable
NF is my boy. I’ve been following his “JOURNEY” from the beginning. I just saw him a few months ago in concert after 7 years of wanting to. Watch all his videos in order and the Albums in order to understand how he started and how he is now. Dark side and light side. He is saved. He is also a Christian rapper and doesn’t curse. He spits bars so hard. This is my FAV song from him even though they are all amazing. He sells out shows but he’s underground and doesn’t want the fame just the people who feel the same to listen to his music.
If you want rap rap from NF I suggest suffice,let em pray or turn my back
Glad you go to this reaction! I thought you would have paused more honestly but still a great reaction. If you are anything like me, another listen and the right situation will make a lot of these lines hit quite a bit harder. Can't wait for the next one! I think you should go back even further and do "Paralyzed". Its a slow song for NF but I think it has a lot of feeling in it.

Glad to see you circle back to my all-time favorite NF song. This is just bar after bar after bar of life knowledge, like listening to Yoda spit over a beat. My favorite fun piece of trivia about this track - the chorus is actually performed by NF. He sang the chorus and then pitched up his voice to make it sound female.
As for the philosophical question, my take on it has always been this - money can't buy happiness but it can buy stability and security which makes finding happiness a whole lot easier. Don't make your whole life about accumulating wealth - like NF said if you do that you'll always be poor. Do put in the work to get you and your family in a place of stability though because money may not be able to buy happiness but poverty can't buy anything.
Oh and I got a request for you my man, since you been branching out into other genres a bit more - you been on Falling In Reverse for a while and you did Jinjer recently. I'd love to see your take on Electric Callboy. They're my current favorite rock band, just super fun, TONS of energy and they don't take themselves seriously but they take their music and their craft VERY seriously. NF is a TRUE MOTIVATOR. His shared WISDOM is ASTOUNDING in this ☝🏽. I’m older and this song is relatable in every lyric. I’ve been around extremely wealthy but they could never tell who was a true friend or not SO growing up in Spiritually WEALTHY family is so much better. This was a powerful msg. I have a degree in psychology, and they have studied this. Yes, money buys happiness (or at least a higher level of reported happiness) but only up to around $75k (2010 study, so around $100k today). That is largely because that is about the level you need to live comfortably without worrying about making rent or buying food, being able to take vacations, access to good doctors, etc. Happiness does not increase based on income after that, although there are conflicting studies. Honestly though, happy people who are happy when they are lower income, will become happier with higher levels of income. Miserable people will still be miserable regardless of how much money they have. My 2¢ for what it's worth. *steps off soap box*

Love the lyrical breakdowns. I highly recommend doing the NF journey each album builds off of the previous one. As you said in the reaction, "it's all about progression and growth" and Nate grows and improves with every album and his music video all link to each other in a chronological timeline. I suggest going back to his first album Mansion. Start with Intro One, All I Have, Wake Up, Notepad and Mansion before moving to his second album.

If you watch a video next I suggest HOPE, but listen to my fav song mansion (no video for it) best and deepest song from him hands down. the video connects many many years later. It’s genius.
