I remember in 2011 when India was World Champion and No. 1 test side and yet ended up winning not a single game. And Naseer made the "It is a shame Drs is not being used" and "India have1-2 donkeys in the field" and Indian media just blew up. Ravi Shastri flew at him but Naseer put him in his place.
Today India has embraced DRS, and is one of fittest teams in the world.

I would say both.. Drs at the time was not what it is today, a less erroneous system and BCCI was not keen on it but it is also true that Dhoni was never a fan of it and maybe if Dhoni was the captain, even today he would have resisted it. I'm sure if Dhoni is asked today he would still pin it on the Drs having glitches for him to not opt for it... but I can say now that Dhoni was rather wrong than right because even at that time we were much better having Drs than not having it.

What a phenomenal interview.. the banter between Hussain and Harsha is pure gold, loved how candid Hussain was during the entire length of it! Had I not known since his playing days that Naseer Hussain was infact born in Chennai I would never have guessed that he has Indian roots. Interesting that he chose Eoin Morgan ahead of an MSD or a Pointing as the best white ball captain and later in the interview admitted that he's not an English cricket cheerleader. This for me highlights the journey from the pits of 2015 to the glory of 2019 for English cricket.
The best part for me clearly has to be the one where he mentions how none of the so called Indian "superstars" had never had an incident, as if almost wishing someone had one..LOL!!
Then going on to mention how Ganguly made India into a tough team, which brought back so many nostalgic moments right from the Natwest 2002 final. When Hussain coincidentally scored his maiden ODI century, and two relative newbies in Yuvi and Kaif eventually chased down the then impregnable total of 325 (courtesy the faith bestowed upon them by Dada).

He’s in the same list of VIRAT and Rohit. Usually we talk about only VIRAT and Rohit and sometimes we put dhawan in that category because he somewhat senior. But KL truly deserve that place and I wish and pray he continue bats the way he has been batting he’s on our trump card in t20 World Cup and for sure he will be the next captain.
