    Thanks for the intro video. I just purchased the Mars 300 Pro Enhanced an hour ago. Waiting for it to be delivered tomorrow. After watching this I feel ready to use it straight out of the box. Thanks 😉

    Can you have multiple devices connected via app simultaneously?
    Nevermind - just saw on their B&H description that you can have either 1 x receiver and 2 x apps or 0 x receiver and 3 x apps.

    OK weird question. Where i am, there is an option to buy only the transmitter, for just $160. Will buying just the transmitter module already work if I dont plan to use a receiver? I plan to use it on my ipad for the directors screen/mini video village. Thanks!

    I'm having an incredible difficulty in finding how to lock channels on these devices. I have an older Hollyland unit on Ch8, which is in another room. The 300 Pro seems to get confused and lock into channel 8 despite my setting it to a different channel. I find nothing to describe menu settings on the device or app that gives anything on this. The manual is completely worthless except for identifying parts.

    • @garrettsammons
      @garrettsammons  Před 3 lety

      It depends on the camera. Most current gen cameras can use the HDMI out and on-camera monitor simultaneously. Older cameras are hit and miss. Search Google for your camera body and “active hdmi”.

    Lately I had to use two pairs of this device on the same event.

    Are you familiar with this specific issue or generally with limmitations using multiple devices close to each other?

    • @garrettsammons

      That sounds like channel congestion. I’d change the channels on one set to make sure they’re both clean. That should help 🤙

    Super helpful walkthrough, thanks! Do you know if the video is 10 bit or 8 bit? And do you know if the Enhanced version without antennas is the same as the normal version? Would be nice to have that option and have them off when I don't need. Cheers.

    • @garrettsammons
      @garrettsammons  Před 4 lety +1

      Both solid questions. I would have to imagine transmitter signal is going to be 8bit. The throughput would too high at 10. The enhanced does not have built in antennae, so you’d have to use the external ones.

    Hello Garrett, Thank for the review of Hollyland Mars 300 Pro. I just bought 2 pairs of the enhanced and the output to my Atem Extreme video switcher shows green on one of the wireless trans/receiver. I was able to correct the video output my sony camera to 1080i/480i and it fixed green screen issue on that camera, the other sony camera (a different model) did not correct the issue after setting video out to 1080i/480i. can you or anyone assist with this please? thanks

    Hi,
    I own the 300 Pro but having problems with audio/video out of sync. Audio comes half a second later than video when you use the app on iPad/iPhone. Hollyland says I'm the only one with this problem and they can't reproduce it so they don't help me. Can you please check this out with your device and see if you're having the same problems? Thanks!

    • @garrettsammons
      @garrettsammons  Před 4 lety +1

      The only reason I’d think about it upgrading would be because of the lower latency and smart device app. But it’s by no means necessary to get the job done.

    • @garrettsammons
      @garrettsammons  Před 3 lety

      No, unfortunately not. You'd need to plug the camera into the Ninja, and the Ninja into the transmitter in order to record in 4K and still utilize the wireless system.

    Hey brother, great review, gaines a like and sub from us!
    We are currently on set a Document-series and having major connection issues to our directors monitor. A camera will connect without an issue, however B cam has been down all morning. We have tried to pair them sidexside, changed HDMI cables as well as external batteries. Nothing seems to work, any pointers on the issue? Cheers.

    • @garrettsammons
      @garrettsammons  Před 2 lety +1

      My first through would be to switch channels to a cleaner signal on the second system. Interference can really deteriorate the signal quality if there’s too much congestion on a particular band.
