A.L.I.V.E. (Art Living in Vibrant Environments)

A.L.I.V.E. (Art Living in Vibrant Environments) unites art, plants, and people to transform industrialized and underutilized urban areas into thriving hubs of arts education. Our primary goal is for each A.L.I.V.E. site to offer free opportunities for youth to engage in the arts in, for and about nature. Each site will also be bolstered by urban micro-farms and native plants. We believe combining art, entrepreneurship, nature and community is one of the most intuitive responses we can take to help heal our relationship with ourselves, each other and the Los Angeles that we want to see in the future.
A.L.I.V.E. represents a unique and impactful approach to strengthening arts education encompassing climate resilience and creative entrepreneurship for Los Angeles youth, enhancing equitable community outcomes, and in turn, safeguarding the arts and the environment in urban Los Angeles communities.
