Warning - video has end game boss spoilers
Too late .. im kinda mad now since i only played the demo … fuck
yeah i'm not that bothered by "spoilers" for games like this, but wtf were they thinking having that clip in here?!
@@raph017 Agreed. It was obvious to me that we'd fight it, but that moment when it happens is something I'd have liked not to be spoiled.
Thank you so much nearly got it ruined
Thank u
Showing the final boss fight in the review might be a little spoilery.
Yeah...
I was going to say that too. How no one at the escapist thinked about that ?
Thank you for this comment. I’ve stopped watching this video. You saved me.
I was too late to see this comment
Pretty deeply disappointed that they did that, really sucks.
Honestly, the cutesy style juxtaposed woth the extremely dark themes of the game make me want to experience it similar to how Death's Door did. I'll probably pick this up soon.
Good review, but major spoiler in video, maybe not include video of endgame
Is it a spoiler if the entire game is built on that premise? I'll keep that in mind though
@@TheOtherFrost its not necessarily evident that the final boss will be “that” enemy. On CotL steam page it only discusses fighting the four bishops. Idk, I don’t mean to be nit picky or disrespectful, it was a great review. That part just felt a little spoilery imo. Take it or leave it. Thanks for the effort and I’m very excited for this game!
@@zacharytipton1801 I think it was proper feedback and will present more for the wider audience in the future rather than just myself.
Without actually spoiling, I think you'll be surprised by the way the end game actually unfolds. Hope you enjoy the game as much as I did :D
@@TheOtherFrost Yes, it's a spoil. While it might be evident that you would be fighting it as some point, revealing to players that moment when it actually happens was unfortunate.
Really solid review~!!!
It does seem a little....odd to include what is most likely the final boss though in your footage???? Reviews should not include spoilers like that (even if, yes, it could be assumed we would likely fight them one way or another. Still spoilers.)
Entire review is honestly solid, it's just incredibly odd why you would include footage of endgame/final boss stuff when the game hasn't even come out yet....
Yeah, was looking for a comment mentioning this, the spoiler bummed me out... I'm not one to motivate hate, but the stupidity of this move has to be acknowledged.
2:15 Holy spoilers batman! Watchers beware
Weird little thing, but I really like the way you talk about games as something you experienced rather than just an experience. Particularly for the style of games you have reviewed it works so well.
I agree! It helps a lot bringing that subjectivity. So many reviews try to act like everything they say is objective, but his style let's you understand what he's basing his opinions on. E.g. "This increased my personal enjoyment".
Yeah it’s different. I enjoy that as well
ummmmm oooookkaaayyy creepy person
Monochromatic? There's more than two colors there, dude.
Great review, but please be more careful choosing your game b-roll. The footage spoiled that The One Who Waits is a boss and their design. I was really upset to see that because I didn't know
why would you spoil what the spoiler was in your comment?
@@Martini96112 I only directly stated what the spoiler was because it says the boss's name during the animation sequence. Also, The One Who Waits is a pretty critical character to the game, so most people who play or know the game would recognize it's a spoiler. Sorry about that, though!
I really like your concise and informative review style. Subscribed
Thanks for playing Sebastian 🙏 I've had my eye on this one and I'm glad it was an overall enjoyable experience ☺️ Hope you're as well as you can be. Cheers and thanks for your review! 🍻
Hoping they add more content for this one, seems like a 12-15 hrs playthrough and done.
Both roguelites and management games aim to be much longer than that usually, due to the nature of their progression/satisfaction.
Quality over quantity is a good thing
@@d00mnoodle24 its not really all that much quality though. Like its not bad, but this is a game with so-so game play carried by stellar art design. I was overhyped for it and i'm left wanting not just more, but better.
@@Brian0033 fair enough. I personally find it a very well rounded package that doesn't outstay it's welcome
How do you fit so much information into 3 minutes? 😆
this looks fun you conviced me to try it out
Darn, I was hoping there would be a Zero Punctuation of this game instead ):
I was hoping it was on the switch. Yeah!
I’ve only just heard of this game.
This is now the second game I’ve wanted to play thanks to the escapist.
Nice endgame spoiler there. Thanks for that. (Even if it was kind of a given that'd be a boss.)
I was so sure the big eldritch monster would transform into a wholesome character for no reason : (
Perhaps not my thing. But a fantastic review!
You should be the full time VO for all of these reviews, no matter who writes them.
I hope you didnt just casually spoil the game in your footage.
They did.
They sure did.
I'm not even halfway through, and they totally did. Butt holes
I've been looking forward to this one.
Great review! Excited to play it myself and this made me certain i'd love it!
So excited for this game! :D
"Puts the 'fun' back in 'killing of𝐅 𝐔𝐍dead'". Good job sir.
I'm stealing that for D&D guaranteed....
I love this man's voice. Makes the review sound like a trailer for an 80s movie.
If the devs treat this game dead cells, adding new things couple times a year, this would be high up on the list of best indie games right beside deadcells. imagine for the combat section they add new weapons, powers, enemies, levels, and omg new mechanics and revamping/upgrading the dungeon part. Also for the management section new stuff to build, more stuff to do,more items and collectables and maybe a couple new areas to visit and of course new mechanics.
If they do that this game will be GOAT. The dream rogue like + really good management/ simulation game you can totally make a seperate game for but you put it all in one. Hell we’d even buy the dlcs if the chose to put it all there.
That why deadcells will forever be legendary they took a toptier rogue like dungeon crawler and kept adding to it for so many years .deadcells currently is the goat of indie. IMO hades would be better if it got the same treatment or even a DLC which we all want to give them money for. This game is good but it could be godlike.
I truly hope the devs go this route, we want to make them rich!
Anyone know if this is one gamepass?
My favorite reviewer. Keep it up.
The man with the golden voice.
What other channel is this man on i heard his voice b4 but i can't remember where@@elnombre91
This looks good and your voice is magical.
If only you really knew the cult behind the game......
Not gonna lie, this review style is tremendous and poetry. That said, as a review. OOF. I have no idea if I'm gonna OK I bought it.
I remain very excited to try this game out
the perfect man to review this game
Oh hey Frost what's up?
Oh you know, making breakfast
Dang... this was a good review but I don't know why you guys decided to show the end game bosses in the review.
I'm only part way through my playthrough and had a feeling that The One Who Waits would be a boss fight but I didn't expect a 3 minute review to spoil it. :/
this game looks sick
I wish the narration was a tad more conversational. Feels too much like you're trying to read your script as fast as possible.
Animal Crossing : New Heretics
Why would you spoil the twist and final boss without warning man. I respected the Escapist above every other reviewer for not doing shit like that. Certainly hoping not to see this ever happen again.
It wasn't even relevant to what was being talked about, just dropped the footage for the final? boss as B roll.
Wtf guys
I definitely didn't expect a 3 minute review to show the final boss for no reason... :/
To be fair anyone with any knowledge of Demons should have seen it coming.
"Who would've guessed the hooded guy in Jordan's who smelled like liquor would attempt to rob me?!"
Whoever is speaking in this video should read audiobooks
This was to "spoilery". Don't show late bosses in a review please.
thanks for making this, tho you spoiled it (no hate)
reviewed the game while showing the final boss huge spoiler LMAO how dare u make a review and show spoilers like that the point of a review is so that people themselves can decide to get the game or not
Spoilers...
Is this game created by the same person who made Binding of Isaac, or is the game otherwise related to it? I heard of this game but assumed it was another update or anthology to Isaac. It can be confusing, since they have similar themes, game design, and later Isaac games also used Lamb terminology.
No, and the only relation to Isaac is that both games are rogue-lites.
all your videos are so bad. I'm French and use to watch US/UK reviewers and all yours reviews are so bad written and so "false"...
