  • I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the early version of the Arctic Leopard in the 20kw version.
This is just my initial thoughts because I need more seat time.

I've ridden this bike. It's really well put together and extremely fast.

I would like to make an update on my ownership of this bike. Unfortunately after only a couple rides it started to fall appart and was almost dangerous to ride. I tried to contact AL and never managed to find a solution for the poor mapping. I had several parts failure that where premature.
-The kick stand was a joke and the weld failed after a few ride
-The throttle was so cheap it broke within a few ride as well.
-The rear shock even adjusted to the max was way to soft. (I have trial bikes and this was way worse)
-The brakes would constantly overheat and I would loose the rear brake at every ride.
-There is no bead lock and so I had constant flat tire. This is an easy fix but unaceptable to not have stock
The Mapping or the throttle curve was really bad and had no finess and a huge amount of lag. I would have 100% power at 25% throttle and it would deliver 1/2 second after you would twist the throttle. It was dangerous especially with all that power.
I sold the bike at a huge loss and deeply regret buying this bike. I would not recommend anyone from buying this bike.
Just remember that you get what you pay for.
On the other hand My Escape R has been incredibly reliable and fun to ride. I took the bike on many trips accros USA and Canada. I rode trails I could of only dreamed of riding on my KTM 300 2T. If I would of known the AL would of been an unreliable money pit I would of both a second EM but the trial version.

Hey, thanks for the clip, could you answer such questions as
    1) How many kilometers it is enough under different conditions.
    2) Whether it is convenient to ride it when more than 180 cm
    3) Which settings can be configured in the controller.

I average 30-40km per charge. It's the same as my EM

Thanks for the review. I'm assuming the EM is vastly superior in terms of power delivery for hard enduro type of application? Without a clutch its hard to imagine having much wheel spin control...can you comment on that? Thank you!

That's sums it up but you can tell one EM as spend a lot of time in the mapping. They are so much more confidence inspiring than the AC. I sold the AC because it was not as good in tight technical stuff. really prefer the EM!

Thinking of buying the arctic ext 800 with 25kw motor, is the build quality good enough and are they reliable. Do you prefer the EM over the Arctic cheers.

It using a QC motor is that good or bad? Does it have more torque than let’s say e-motion Motor, a KO motor or just any other popular motor?
    Thanks wesley

In all honestly with all the noise it was making I think it was being surcharge and wont last very long. So a bad thing.

Im on the fence with the EM and this bike , mostly the range issue is the 20K vs. Escape R comparable , what is the real world range of the Fox and the escape. you say the noise from the motor is impressive if its to noisy than the whole stealth trail riding is a mute point.

    • @TheAlskouba
      @TheAlskouba  Před rokem +1

Between the two imo there is no doubt. The EM is the better choice. Range is excatly the same between the two but the EM gives you much more control and quality.
