Once you figure out the pattern, you won’t be able too keep em off the hook! 😆
@@Hook2Cook i need to go out more often lol

NICE CATCH BRO!!! AWESOME KNIFE, and AMAZING DISH!!! GREAT VID MAN...I've caught 7 Halibut THIS MONTH on the same technique, (the biggest was 34-1/2") but used a swimbait as the weight.
Tight Lines.
That’s pretty rad w a swimbait!
Goodshit bro! Drop shot never fails! Tight lines bro
Amazing job!
Man you put together some awesome catch and cooks bro, inspiring, I still havent caught a legal butt after about 2.5 years of fishing.

Nor Cal Fishermen awesome encouragement bro! Thanks for being a great part of the community
You’ll get them. Faster if you go to high percentage areas and learning from others experiences like you are now
@@Hook2Cook thanks man! food look delicious!
Dude! That ramen looks so bomb, oh my god. The eggs! UGH! I'm super jealous right now, Edward.
Nice fillet job and the ramen looks awesome👍
Thanks B!
Such a cool video!! I’m a local here in shell beach and I’ve fished their and the rocks many times even trolling in kayaks for halibut and seem to never get them. Have you caught any other halibut in Their. Or maybe anyone you know?
Yes. They’re usually a little deeper though. If you plan the low tide we’ll, you can reach them
Awesome dude So sick!!!!!! Keep hustlin my friend.
Will do brother! Shoot! Forgot to drink some beer with this one!
Hook2Cook All gravy brotha.. can’t wait for the next one.
Ed's ramen house! Looked delish! Nice catch!
Thanks brother! It came out soooo tasty. Really hits the spot after fishing all day! 🙌
Oh man that looks delicious, Great video!
Goals! Gotta catch my first Hali and improve my knife skills! Good job and awesome video! 🤙🏽
Good luck on the halo! That’s the first step!
Nice content love it
What’s up family. Good morning
Armando!!!! Thanks for joining brother
That ramen looks so delicious... Nice catch by the way.
Thanks Artem!
Great content as always Ed!!! Keep up the great work and honored to have crafted a custom sheath to protect your investment. Hope it will last genreations to come. Mahalo my friend!
Still in love with this sheath
Btw your cutting skills is on point now bro 👍🏼 your yield on your fillet is so good you can’t even use the bones for crab bait or soup cuz no meat lol 😂 but then again it might be the knife holster 😜🤪
Lol thanks! Poor crabs
YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!! I wish we had the same fishery as you guys down here in the south, i gotta learn more about fishing from the surf but its definitely fun, keep up the good work guys
It’s definitely a grind on most days! this halibut was the only bite in like 5 hours! Good thing it was a keeper! Haha down south the halibut fishing should be better! Thanks for the compliment. Means a lot
@@Hook2Cook i guess i gotta try the fluke on drop shot to see if they bite, i plan to make videos and post them here too for fun lol but i gotta learn what works and what doesnt, maybe someday we'll meet lol
H2C himself has done it again 👏🏽 awesome catch that day. Ramon w/ Hali looked so delicious 😋
Great vid love the idea of making a list of what time of year to catch whats biting.👍 The ramen looked great too!😄🐟
Thanks brother. Yea it’ll be cool. For example, toward the end of each month, we can look into what next month could possibly bring
Shout out from Phil.
Dude love your channel I caught my first Halibut last week 30” on the calissa ,if your ever in the Ventura Santa Barbra area I would love to hook up and do some fishing
Much appreciated bro! Will definitely let you know. Ventura is beautiful
Carpinteria is even better!
I knew their was something big in there, I caught it’s baby couple weeks ago haha congrats man !👍
Thanks brother! Yea it was a grind but you never know what the next cast will bring... haha just like your brother Mike and his striper! 🤣
Wow looks so good. Great Video!!! Is the recipe on here?
No, it’s basically just packaged ramen with tofu, topped with crunchy garlic and an egg 😅
Wild Goose Chase paid off Edward! Awesome catch! When I'm getting skunked I too depend on the honey call because just minutes after the"goodbye" it's "FISH ON!" That just says how much for wives love us. That ramen though! Looks like a must in the coming months when things cool off. Looks like leopard shark would work well too. Your the man. Awesome video brotha! 🙏🏼🤙🏼🎣
Sal! Yes brother! That goose chase did pay off! Haha we’re definitely blessed to have days off to devote to the chase! But we were definitely running out of time when Veronica called. That ramen was super satisfying. And yes especially as it gets colder, it’ll hit the spot even more especially with a touch of hot sauce.
i like the playlist idea that should bring alot of value to your subs good thinkin!!
Thanks! Yea especially the longer we do this the more episodes there will be each month.
Looks fantastic brother!
Nice halibut!!!
Holy crap this is so amazing! Your channel is really unbelievable! I wouldn’t be surprised if your channel gets to 1M subs in the future. You really are great at fishing and cooking! That halibut ramen looked AMAZING. Plus your filet skills are out of this world. You guys worked out there on the surf, but you were rewarded with that awesome fish. Outstanding job! Quick question, how cold is the water? I see you have waders on, and by me on the east coast I got a few weeks left until I need waders because of the cold. Have a great day
Thanks Brother! It was definitely a grind but we don’t give up easily! 😅 about the waders, even if it’s warm outside and in the water it’s much more comfortable to have them! It keeps us a lot cleaner and help avoid chaffing or other problems from being wet and sandy all day.
That area H2o temp is usually low-mid 60’s. North, Around the horn or further south of the piers. It’s usually a few degrees cooler due to exposer to open water.
Hook2Cook That makes sense. Thanks for the response, loved this video. Keep up the great work 😄👍
Congrads on the nice halibut.
On the Surf cast drop shot, great job showing the speed of retrieve. I see anglers spin casting 1 ounce weight cigar weights and ripping the flukes kinda fast plus have the hooks either upside down or not firmly rigged in place and miss hits .
Dinner idea for halibut. "Roasted halibut with tomatoes pepper-and olives " Ingredients 2 sliced red bell peppers, A medium red onion sliced, 1 16 oz can fire roasted tomatoes, they run 2 bucks, 12 sliced green Spanish olives, cheap 3 bucks a jar slice 12, mini bottle cheap white wine like sutter mini bottles for cooking, 1 lemon, 1 TBS butter , 2 TBS olive oil and spices include 2 tsp garlic powder, basil, (black pepper and salt to taste). Take the butter, oil and saute the bell peppers and onion first in a saute pan. Add the can of fire roasted tomatoes and spices reduce then deg-laze with 1/2 cup white wine and splash of lemon juice. reduce until mixture is thickened , you want the mix to be just moist. Save part of lemon for garnish. When done transfer to a container and reuse the pan for your fish
Take portions of halibut or white fish ( 6 ounces per person) depends on how many eating . mix here does 4 portions. Lightly Salt, pepper and flour fish and just lightly cook on each side in a pan for a minute on each side. Your sealing the juices of the fish this way, fish will still be raw in center. When done place the portion in a oven pan that matches amount of fish. Place the tomato, pepper, olive mix over the halibut and cook in a 350 degree pre heated oven for 10 minutes. Serve over some basic Rice pilaf like Rice a roni , with a crusty french bread loaf to soak up juices This dish runs $30-$38 bucks a plate at most local bay area/Monterey restaurants . Super easy and simple. Wife thinks your a Michelin star chef giving you reason to go catch more .
Lol just took a screenshot of this comment! Gunna try it for sure. Seems simple and delicious. Thanks for taking the time to share this idea
Avila has being packed lately I’m going to have to take a day off work during the week to head out there and catch me one of them. Awesome video 👍🏼
Even though it's not Taku level of cooking but you caught a nice halibut.
Haha not many people are taku level
Good morning E 🥱😴 another awesome video 👍🏼 I guess I know wat I’m having for breakfast 🍜 but the halibut 😜 perch is overrated anyways bro let’s just wake up and film catching a halibut 😳🤦 your blessed bro 🙏🏽 stay safe and healthy bro 🤙🏽
Morning Rich E Rich! Haha seriously wanted to catch perch just for you!😅 and yes definitely blessed with being too proud to give up while skunking haha
Great video man! What hook was used??
amzn.to/2FasTYZ this one in 4/0 size
Here’s another option less expensive per hook amzn.to/3ip6gP3... everything else can be found at hook2cook.net
👍
What line do you use?
What's the specs on the casting rod?
Heavy swim bait rod. It’s the okuma guide select. 1-5oz cast rating
Did you say don't follow him?
#buttjuice works great for crabbing too. 😉
Oh wow! Good to know!
Is that a bass fishing bait caster your using in this video?
Aaron! Yes it is… it’s fun, but the surf ultimately is best with spinning gear
Is this SoCal? Or more up north
North of socal
At 3:00 in the video you say don't laugh at the name. You can't but (no pun intended) laugh at the name!😂 Sounds like a stinky situation!😵 Where did you pick up that juice?
Haha another applicable word. Sticky... haha here’s the link to everything in the episode kit.co/hook2cook/halibut-ramen-episode
I like the fishing videos and suggestions you utubers put out but watching you eat is not,Not fun.
