I'm sorry for your loss, Jimmy. I lost my wife back in 2022. My whole world has changed since then. I'm 39 and I'm with my 2 daughters, life can be a huge pile of shit. Thanks for your music.
I'm sorry to hear about your wife passing away. I lost my mother on Dec 2, 2020. That was the absolute worst day of my life. Good luck to you, Sir. You, Martino, and Pass are the best jazz guitarists in history. In my opinion, there was no one who's as good.
October 2021 my mum who was 87 fell over . I argued with her that saying we have to be careful because I don’t want you to fall over then I come back to find her laying near the stairs and had to call the ambulance. She didn’t come back home after that . I still feel destroyed . I go over it but can’t fix it . I had no idea you were living the same tragedy and it’s crap . Always knew your playing and these days gain a lot of inspiration from you. You are brilliant with no nonsense.
Without your knowledge and humor, I wouldnt be where I am today as a jazz guitarist who didnt go to music school. Jimmy, may your wife’s memory forever be a blessing, stay strong. Thank you for everything
I'm very sorry, Jimmy. It's a terrible thing to happen. You come off as a loner but if you ever wanted the company of people who cared about you there wouldn't be enough room in several houses. So, thank you for your humor, your candor and your teaching.
I'm sorry for your loss Jimmy and thank you for what you do. Just wanted to say that there's always more people than you think who love and respect the music you make, your teachings, and the way you play. Personally I'd be perfectly fine just hearing you shoot the shit on here and play random stuff. Maybe even just jam with a backing track and we can ask questions on what you did, or we'll just figure it out ourselves. No pressure of course. Either way, as long as making videos provides some sort of fulfillment from you, we'll all be here for it to consume and enjoy. Thanks again, and my condolences to you and your family.
Jimmy, as a longtime fan of yours, and a fellow guitarist and guitar teacher may I offer you these thoughts. I often tell my students that a lesson in music is a lesson in life. I would encourage you to turn on the light. I mean that literally too. Come out of the darkness. it’s not easy, but neither was all the effort you put into the guitar. We love you, my brother! So sorry for your loss.
Jimmy -- I can't thank you enough for putting yourself out there, even in the worst of times. I'm so sorry about your wife -- been there. I've learned so much from you: Your human authenticity is a gift, as is your authentic jazz guitar playing. You make music with all of it, and that can't be said of many people. You're world-class, Jimmy. Again, thanks for everything. -- Randy Scott
My condolences Jimmy. I´ve lost both my parents, I don´t have kids or sibilings, here I am with my old Spanish guitar watching you and getting inspired by how beautiful and peaceful you make that guitar sound. Greetings from Spain!

Sorry for your loss Jimmy. Life is a royal pain in the ass sometimes. I was with my mom 3 years ago when she passed. Back in August my partner tried to take her life. She almost succeeded in jumping off a bridge if it weren't for someone at the fire department who rushed her just before she was to jump. Nightmare.
