I don't know if I would trust the sharp metal edges where you drill the holes not Cutting Through the rope over time
even if he filed them round it'd still abrade the rope over time, slower, but it'd still eat it. Wonder what the industrial solution to that is?
Selling replacement kits of braided rope for hammocks.
Usually the solution is to use wood which is much less likely to cut the rope. But I wouldn't worry about this at all, he's got many ropes so if one of them breaks you have a heads up long before you fall down.
WoLpH true, but even if catastrophic failure is not expected, repairing a damaged rope will be a hassle.
@@dimitar4y you could drill the holes bigger,countersink then insert short pieces of tube put a flair on one end so sits flush with tube then flair other end s after installed....would look great in copper but would be a butt ton of extra work

Есть два недостатка. Нижние поперечины нужно делать сплошными и затем приваривать остальную конструкцию, связав косынками. Шпагат долго в отверстиях профильной трубы не проживет, требуются втулки из пластика или дерева.

I like the idea of having everything so small and compact instead of a big fat wallet, but the more I look on their site, the less I find out if that is a non-scannable card carrier. Right now I have sleeves for each of my credit cards so they can’t be swept/scanned by a passerby unless the card is physically out when being used. Ya, that’s a thing so you just can’t trust anyone these days, so better safe than sorry. I’m glad you picked them up as a sponsor, they made a good decision😉✌🏼

I noticed that many pointed out that would be better add rubber grommets to protect the rope from sharp edges in metal but since it was chamfered and since there is not much friction should not be a problem. on the other hand rubber grommets would be niece and inexpensive to make it time proof

Spoko projekt 😉 nie widziałem dokładnie rozwiązania połączenia profil-linka, ale żeby siie nie przetarła to można zastosować coś typu przelotki (prowadnica/tulejka) do drutu ogrodzeniowego. Pozdrawiam 😉

My family had two of these, they were made from 3/4 round stock, 1 in pipe, 1 1/4 in pipe for the frame held together with cleaves pins or 7/16 bolts. The hammock was cotton cordage, wood stretchers, and a vinal center. They dated from the 50s and the frame was finally got sold as scrap in the early 90s. Do uou jave plans for your version with material list?
