What I failed to mention is that the calculated range is going to continue to work, you just need to reset your distance counter after the PLANET3 is installed because the new distances are going to be 3x less and so will the range - but it's going to be proportional. If you've done 20 km of riding (meaning you've done 62 km of actual distance) and the range calculator says you can go another 7 km, it just means you can go another 22 km. Everything gets multiplied by the gear ratio of the device (3,12 or 3,35).

I love your tone, sarcasm and straight talk. Us Bostonians are the same way...some would call us a..holes but most of us talk with a straight tongue. People are stupid and ignorant. Love the product. Going to purchase it today and look forward to ripping it up on my S-Works Turbo Levo.

Just fitted the planet3 derestriction kit. Easy to fit, 15 minutes in all. Fitted perfectly, the instructions impeccable. Really well engineered and.......................... utterly utterly brilliant is all I can say. Everyone should do this. Alex needs an award for innovation. I cannot praise Alex or his invention highly enough. No messing with electrics or wiring. Got bike up to 26mph and ran out of puff - me not the motor!!! Will it stand the test of time? We will see. However, for £85 delivered to the UK from Croatia in a day, and for the smile it has brought to my face, if I get a year out of it, it will more than have done its job !!! Cheers Alex

Maximum 25 kph for commuter ebikes in EU countries is ridiculous. Rules set by government bureaucrats, with no interest or experience with ebike are just plain dumb. Canada's legal limit (where I live) is a bit better, with a top speed limit of 32 kph, but that is still too low, but the US has the right idea, with their 48kph top end limiter.

i just bought that app. i totally agree about the 'limited' being dangerous. my city does not have bike lanes and much of its area (30 mph) has cars doing 45mph... that difference in speed is very dangerous with a cap at 28mph from factory. im looking to get closer to 38mph

It's not a speed limit, its a limit that the pedal assist will not exceed. My Levo bike is restricted, but I can go 45 or even 60kmh in right circumstances.

25 kms for e bikes ... and electric skateboards no speed limit? What is going on with that?? You get e board company’s boasting about top speed 45kpm + boards.. e boards are all over Melbourne and I want to know why are bikes restricted to 25kms ?

Hi, great product. Two questions- do you supply a magnet or does the customer have to supply their own. And does the 2019 and 2020 levo comp use the same planet3, I presume the answer is yes but id like to check, as I'll be ordering 2 as soon as I know what to order. One for the standard 29er wheel and one for the 27.5er I'm getting to occasionally run on the bike.

Hi, why don’t you use a magnet as strong as the original

I picked up my Turbo Vado 3.0 few days ago. Previous owner installed badassbox, so I rode with that for few days and it was amazing. I'm not a racer but being able to maintain a steady 20mph regardless of terrain/ wind is awesome. I used analogue bikes in the past and 20mph is nothing special (on the flat) and would normally cruise at around 25-30mph. OK to the point, I've removed tuning box yesterday and without it this bike is just an expensive shiny pile of horse sh*t. OK, I'm road legal now but I feel having this bike makes no sense. OK, one benefit I got a kickstand back on a bike, wouldn't fit with badbox installed. Crap, this is turning into a rant, sorry. I agree with you on most of your points- I'm not saying that bikes shouldn't be restricted at all but as you said, at any given speed , bike should be designed to cover it's transmission losses as long as you pedal. And having mandatory 15.5mph cut out raised to 20mph would probably make more people interested. OK, potentially bad for your business but wouldn't it be nice if we could all have road legal bikes that can just blend in with the city traffic? Vado was designed/ built to reach 28mph safely, why not let it? I wouldn't mind paying few bob for insurance but I'm strictly against registering it, taxing it and sticking a number plate on it- it's just daft. I already pay all of those for a depreciating fast pile of metal sitting on my drive.
