Ossai is not an original word for God in Igbo land. It's an Ukwuani word ("Chi" in Igbo), which is a divine entity ascribed to a person, family, a group of local professionals.
How about names that are not Igbos, like Inalu, Ojugbeli, Otutu, Odume, Ossai, Izomor, Ogeleka, Achudume, Idigeh, Ekpechi, Epochi, Ozah, Izah, Adoh, Odigidawu, Odagwe, Okwuose, Okwuise, Ndego, Onah, Igor, Owalegba, Anagba, Nzei, Azagalaza, e.t.c.

Some Igbos call GOD Olise, some call HIM Obasi, some call HIM Ossai, some call HIM Chi, etc, but they all have same meaning. In every society you hear "mother land". Think of how your mothers dress, if it is different from that of others, then you are not same people, but if it is the same, my dear, no matter the billions fulani people have given your forefathers to deny their identity which has beguiled you people, you are one big family. @graceajah4949 let me educate you. Igbos don't own originally the word "Olise or Olisa" for God. Rather Chi for gods and Chi-Ukwu for all mighty God in Igbo. Olise is a word that move from benin and its environ to Igbo. Osa, Ose, Olisa, Olise, Oritsha, Oritshe, are names for gods in many Iduu related ethnic group, like Ukwuani, Itsekiri, Benin, Esan, even most Isele-Ukwu bear "Ose" in their name as God. In Ukwuani will call all mighty God Olise-bunuwa meaning the God that developed the earth. Benin call almighty God Osa-nobuwa.
In this modern days we make more use of Chi-Ukwu(Chukwu), undoubtedly an Igbo word. Also note that Igbo also have borrowed word for God which is Olise/Olisa.
