  • Etsy is one of the largest marketplaces for t-shirts, coffee mugs, apparel and fine art prints. You don't need a ton of inventory to list and sell on Etsy-using a print-on-demand supplier like Gelato, you can design and list products and offer your clients fantastic products with fast global shipping.
    In this video, I walkthrough how to link your Etsy store into Gelato, create a t-shirt design and list it on Etsy. Gelato is a great option for your print-on-demand business.

    Great video! however, I was looking for the part where one has to click an extra step so the product shows on Etsy, when customers visit the store (and there is a charge for it). I tried without it, and the product was not visible in my store, which makes sense, but it should be clearer on the steps.

    Thank you :) Does Gelato handle all customer service (including returns/issues)?

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před rokem +4

      Great question - the answer is no - Gelato will print and ship the item. The buyer doesn't know or see Gelato. So if there is an issue, the seller needs to deal with it. So the profit margins are generally better than with sites like Redbubble, but the customer service investment is much greater.

  • @theyorkshireguy829
    @theyorkshireguy829 Před měsícem

    Sorry if I missed this but when you sell on Etsy let's say the T-shirt at $25 is there an extra charge when Gelato ships it out to the customer?

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před měsícem

      Great question - no you just pay for the product (and the shipping). And then you pocket the difference. So it's what you sell on Etsy less the fee, less the cost of the product. The shipping would be a wash and then the difference is the profit. Hope that helps!

    How Gelato help on customer returns >>> Return is the main issue no one talk about

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před rokem

      Yes good point - Gelato does not accept returns, so you would need to make a decision as a business if you want to accept returns. I typically don't accept returns and I say that in the description - these are made to order, so make sure you want it before you buy it!

  • @y09rdy

    And if the customer wants a return for a different size? How do you manage? Working directly with gelato? They even allow these kind of returns?

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před 7 měsíci

      You can do returns on Etsy or your website if you want (it’s your shop) but Gelato does not sell the shirt on a returnable basis. So you would need to either sell on a no return policy or eat the cost

    Great video. Does Gelato receive their base cost at the same time the customer pays? I have seen comments on other POD sites that some expect the seller to pay upfront rather than when the customer buys something.

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před rokem +2

      That is a great question - basically you would just pay the listing fee on Etsy (like 20 cents). Then when the customer buys something, Esty collects the payment and Gelato charges the seller. These happen at the same time basically. But you wouldn't pay anything to Gelato up front.

      @Zen Watercooler I had the basically the same question and thank you for the answer. Just to clarify, customer pays for shirt > Etsy takes their cut > Gelato uses x amount they need to fulfill > you keep the rest?
      And I won't need to pay upfront? Cause I know Etsy gives you the option on when you want to get paid and I chose next day. So the money Etsy gives me, I won't need to pay for anything as it's my 'profit' and Gelato already used the customers money to fulfill the order? (If this makes sense)

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před 7 měsíci

      Gelato is a print-on-demand supplier, so you would have to buy the product (at their cost) and then typically you sell it for more. So it's free in the sense that you don't pay for a membership (unless you want to take advantage of premium options like discounted shipping).
