The Royal Jewellery of Mysore: Karnataka Edition: Jewels of India

The Rajmata of Mysore, Smt. Pramoda Devi, along with her sisters-in-law, Smt. Kamakshi Devi and Smt. Indrakshi Devi, explain the intricacies of Karnataka jewellery traditions with a particular reference to Mysore royal jewellery.

In India, karigars or acharis (goldsmiths) often work with their intuition, imagination and knowledge to craft amazing pieces of jewellery for pretty much every occasion or every part of the body. Jewels of India is a humble attempt to give these craftspeople some recognition.
