8:47 the party was actually to welcome back Dhirendra, who was exiled when he commit infidelity when overseas in Britain. People say it was actually the Queen, Aishwarya, who drew the line and convinced the family to exile him. Birendra was close to Dhirendra, however, and eventually tensions died down enough for the return to happen.
Dhirendra was supposed to have his titles restored that day, allegedly. Unfortunately, he died along with Birendra and the rest, after Dipendra self medicated too much.
And that's also why Gyanendra wasn't there. First, his cadet branch of the family wasn't privy to that business, and second, Pokhara was quite the place to be if you didn't had royal business... Paras, Son of Gyanendra, definitely knew how to party. A bit too well, according to some critics, but hey.

@@prfwrx2497 there are some family members who have survived the massacre, they are still alive but they have gone through a lot of trauma, their words can’t be taken seriously even if they claim they saw dipendra sucide or dependra getting shot. There are no royal guard eye witness, a lot of royal guards are dead, massacare took place where royal guards aren’t allowed, if dependra was dead inside then who killed all the royal guards.
Even the dipendra guard is still alive, he has his own story, totally different than others, his story even explains how royal guards were killed and how did he survive, but they aren’t allowed inside so they don’t know anything except gunfire.
No one knows the story, the case is closed and labeled as a suicide, there’s nothing about this case, so no one can be 100% sure, a weird stuff is western psychologist taking about as if they knew dipendra and been living with royal family since long time, and even if they were present during massacre, even telling how did dipendra killed everyone including himself. Exact copy paste from Wikipedia, , no matter how much alcohol and hash combo people will not go insane suddenly, in Nepal every one takes anti depression, hash and alcohol, even he was a prince he has done a lot of development for the country especially sports.
In 2001, even the news won’t make any sense, they say dependra is dead, 2 days later they say dependra is alive now he is king, 2 days later he is again dead. King was dead on arrival, but the son in law says he was still alive on hospital, I saw him dying. So in history dependra is also a king.
People say stuff like they know royal family personally, even the news itself isn’t sure what to say, eye witness are confused, nobody knows actually what happened. Another interesting murder story related to contemporary royals is the still unsolved 1946 death of the 20 years old Rama VIII of Thailand. He was shot in the head in his bedroom, with the last person seeing him alive being his brother the Crown Prince (the current King's father and predecessor) 20 minutes before the gunshot was heard. The gun was found in the King's hand but the angle was completely impossible for a self inflicted shot. This happened two years before the former strongman of Thailand during WW2, Field Marshall Plaek Phibunsongkhram, came back to power through a coup and appointed himself Prime Minister for the second time. Other suspects include the King's brother and successor Rama IX, the Thai left wing or even American or Soviet intelligence.

    1. How could he control a gun if he isn’t able to control himself, eye witness says dipendra was unable to walk and within 5 min he came in camo dress with so much focus to kill every one.
    2. Dependra could have killed everyone, let’s say this is right.

This is all bullshit. Infact there is an evidence that Americans elite forces had come to Nepal and resided in a place called Bhaktapur in Nepal with an excuse of building a complex there. Each time they would wear a highly complicated masks that would look exactly like Prince Dipendra and those Americans would come out of the Army barrak near the locals to see their expression. Locals were always confused why Prince keep coming t Bhaktapur all teh time. But it was the Americans who were actually practicing to behave and look like the Prince. Even today people from the Palace says that during the incident there were more than 12 Dipendras shooting in 12 different places at a time, whereas the real one was drugged and killed in his sleep long before the incident even occured.
Ask yourself one question - Palace is the most guarded place in Nepal with 6-7 regiments of army, military police and making it impenetrable. The murder never could occur but only by duplicating someones face. If Prince Dipendra was the killer why there were no forensics conducted ? Why no one was caught or suspected ? Why no verdicts ? Even the building where the massacred occured has been demolished. Why ?

In 1734 the royal alcazar of Madrid (basically the royal palace) burned down. Countless unic artifacts were lost, among them many master pieces (luckily? only one person died). The building was replaced with a brand new french style palace you can still see today. The mistery comes from the following. the king was STRANGELY out of the palace at the time (when, by all standards, at that time he should've been inside). He had also just moved some of his FAVOURITE drawings to another building. Furthermore he was french and allegedly hated the building. So... Its generally accepted that he may have burned down the alcazar himself. In part to differentiate his dinasty from the previous Habsburg.
BTW, happy to see the classic art style ;)

A big event in early cold war geopolitics was the 1961 death of UN Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold, a huge figure in world politics. As Secretary General he was supporting peace negotiations in the Congo when his plane crashed in Northern Rhodesia, killing those on board. This caused a crisis in the UN electing a new secretary general and hurt the peace negotiations. The Rhodesian investigation put it down to pilot error, however, other theories have been floated as there was evidence the plane had been shot down. These included: CIA saying the KGB did it, Harry Truman suggesting he was murdered, 1998 documents suggesting CIA, MI6 and Belgian mining involvement via a shady South African PMC organisation, shot down by a Belgian mercenary pilot. All in all just a Web of confusing and contradictory information. I'd be interested to know what you think.

And then the investigation is cut short and all proofs of the incident get cleaned up. Yeah, it feels strange. Unfortunately, it also doesn't give any clear alternative. Generally, look at who benefit from the situation, and that would be the younger brother. But it really did not work so well for him. So maybe some other hidden power that stand to win from the change but pay attention that no one get to notice it? Heck, this is starting to look like a conspiracy theory.

If Nepal is to function it needs to find a compromise. You can’t have a all powerful king but you can’t have communist gorillas attacking places. A political centre needs to evolve. But i found the romanov family (not biased) because based on my knowledge about them they were killed by the opoosition when they were already step down in power and also the last tsar was only lack of knowledge at running the country
While the nepalese family was kinda bloody hell like i know that royals do kill each other for power but 18th century was a century where they don't kill each other secretly and only coup where held to gain power and honestly they were the only family that survived the monarchy through 2000s which is kinda cool unlike there neighbors

This all plan was planned by Devyani Gwalior Royal Family & politicians . All of the rumor says that dipendra is the killer but that's untrue. Why, because devyani was from royal family of India & when married to dipendra it's like giving the all property & everything to Nepal. So, they plan to cause royal massacre. No any American or china involved in here. Everything is done by devyani royal family. That's clear because indian royal family had enough money, power to buy any armies of nepal, politicians and all shit.
