The Groups that had Disney World Cast Members Afraid- Ep 15 Confessions of a Theme Park Worker

  • Most groups at Disney World are great- lots of fun, well behaved... but there were a few that weren't just bad. They were horrible. And there was one that you heard rumors about, that people just hated when they arrived. Here they are and a couple of stories explaining why. (Just so you know, I am NOT saying that people from these places are horrible, just certain groups of them and the way they behaved)
There is a follow up update to this: • The Group That Scared ...
Two things to know: 1. I no longer work at Disney. I left back in 2011 2. I don't hate Christians (I'm a pastor, that would be stupid) or the country these groups were from.
A behind the scenes look at what a former worker at Disney World, Silver Dollar City, and Busch Gardens Florida experienced in his time working at the parks. From driving large safari trucks around live wild animals while cracking one silly joke after another, to spending 5 years as a photopass photographer at Walt Disney World and seeing and experiencing all sorts of things, to being a conductor and train robber on the famous Frisco Silver Dollar Line at Silver Dollar City. With 10 years of working in the parks, there's lost of stories to tell. Here is some of them...

Addressing many comments and questions: 1. I no longer work at Disney. I left back in 2011 when I moved out of state. But I absolutely loved my job there. This is not "whining" which is easily understood if you actually watch the video and if you watch some of my others. 2. I don't "hate Christians". I'm a pastor. That would be dumb. I also don't hate people because of where they are from, their religion, their skin color, their faith or lack of it, etc. I don't hate people. Please get over that.
I also see a lot of people wondering why they don't just "throw them out" or assign cast members to these groups. It's actually rather simple when you think about the size of the groups. In order to devote the number of people needed to be able to such things, it means they are going to have to pull cast members from other areas of the park- rides, food, merchandise and security. Which means they close down rides, restaurants and stores just to chase out one group. That's not going to make guests happy- in fact it would actually cause a far greater problem than the one group itself does.
Now imagine that when you have 8-15 groups in the same park at the same time, and essentially you're closing down the park to get rid of a few groups that will move on in time. It's simply not worth the trouble or chaos it would cause, let alone the even greater number of guests that would be extremely inconvenienced.. And since they don't "book in advance" with Disney, there isn't any way of knowing how many will be at which parks on what day, or which ones will be a pain and which ones won't (not all of them are a pain- some of them actually are very well behaved), and you may not know that until after they are in the park. It seems like it would be an easy solution, but when you start looking deeper, it's not.
I do know that Disney has banned some of the tour groups as well, but I'd imagine for every one they ban it's likely a new one has sprung up to replace it.

I won't disagree, but when you have 75-100 of them doing it, it's very difficult for 2 or 3 cast members to be able to do much about it.

I have no idea why Americans are perceived as horrible tourists. Foreign visitors are just as bad. I was a server for several years and we hated foreigners because most of them didn't tip because they didn't bother to find out such things. And when I was at Graceland there was a German family who had to pose in front of every display and take multiple pictures and no one else could enjoy the displays. They were shoving people out of the way. Finally they were so bad security removed them!

The rudeness and the chanting in places that echo, sucks the magic out of my Disney bubble. I try not to hold it against an entire country. I assume their ages and the mentality of, "I'm never going to see these people again," has a lot to do with the awful behavior. A person is a wonderful creation, however, people can turn into a mob in a second. Mobs aren't magical.

      @lilithcal Před 7 lety +9

I dunno. I spent a year in the Philippines and when I had to register for college there it was mob mentality. It seemed that there was no attempt to make an orderly line. However, since the Filipinos are generally short in stature and I'm 6' 2", it was pretty easy for me to make some headway once I decided to get with the program... or lack of same.

Awful behavior cannot be tolerated no matter what, I had been wanting to return to Disney since I was four, the first time that I went, and when I did I didn't cheer or laugh or screamed (I was mostly just weeping in silence saying to myself "Holy shit I made it back, I am here" Excuse for my french) It's all about education that cannot be bought, the one that comes from home. My family and I went to WDW about two years ago and we had something similar to your Soarin story, we were heading towards the line that had about 45 min wait so my mom, dad and sister went to take a bathroom break and I said I would go get us a spot in line. I just made it into the like when I hear this lady start yelling in front of me (in another language) and the I hear like 20 pairs of feet behind me it was one of the tour grounds. The lady yelling pulls out her flag and starts waving it to get the groups attention. Next thing I know I get pushed not enough to be hurt but I was basically pushed out of the line as 20 odd people full out run to meet this lady still yelling and waving her flag. A cast member saw this and when my family came back from the restroom gave us a fast past for the ride, the tour group didn't look very happy when we got to go ahead of them for the ride!

Former cast member, here from 2005. Buckle in, it's a long post.
While working at Spaceship Earth (the 'giant golf ball' of Epcot) in the summer of 2005, the parks had an influx of brazilian tour groups. Each group consisted of about 200 collage-aged kids with matching shirts. Every one of them came into the park acting like they had won the world cup. Spaceship Earth is the first attraction they go on, still chanting and yelling until they get to the boarding area, where we finally get them to shut up (we didn't say that ver batim, but you get the idea). We divide them into their 4-seater cars and hope they don't disturb the slow-moving, quiet ride for anyone else.
Five minutes pass, and the ride comes to a shuddering halt as the Emergency Stop is activated. A loud beep emits from the loading console, signaling that one of the sensor mats, lining the entire length of the track, had been tripped. Two Cast Members run into the attraction to the Renaissance section. Lo and behold, there were he Brazilians. They were all sitting in their cars, attempting to look innocent, looking at them nervously. They ask them if anyone had jumped out of their cars. One girl understands us and begins to say something, until one of her friends stops her by saying something in Portuguese. The girl suddenly forgets the question and stays quiet.
After failed attempts to get someone to confess, The CM's run back to the loading platform, trying not to keep the other guests on the ride from waiting any longer than they have to. 7 minutes have elapsed since the ride stopped. They rack back into the ride and start it up again. Intrusion alarm goes off again. Run back up to the same area, tour group acts like nothing happened.
15 minutes has gone by now, so we have to evacuate the ride. I get the section with the tour group. I go back up to Renaissance. At least 5 of the tour group were out of their cars and posing with the audio-animatronics. Fuck no. We raise our voices and motion to them to get back in their cars until we tell them to get out. The evac goes smoothly as we keep an eye on as much of the group as we can, and direct the entire group the the exit, where our Duty Manager, 4 security guards, and an Orange County police officer were waiting for them.
Duty Manager proceeds to talk to the tour group leader, then addresses the group. All of them were to have their tickets taken away, escorted out of the park, and banned from the property. She then repeats the spiel in Spanish and Portuguese, and escorts the entire group out. No one in the group says a thing. They arrived like they won the world cup, they left like they were defeated.
tl;dr Brazilian tour group jumped Spaceship Earth mid-ride. Banned.

As a brazilian, I knew right before clicking on the video that you were talking about brazilian teen groups. The thing is, Disney, for us, is the dream vacation that we've been expecting all of our lives, and it's a very common gift that the parents award their kids when they turn 15(our version of your sweet 16). Those vacations are usually the very first time most of those teens are away from home and without parent supervision. Here we have huge companies that make an insane amount of money for organizing these groups, and they don't give a rat's ass about safety, order, or being respected. Most of these teens come from a rich family that doesn't know how to say no and teach limits, so the kids don't respect anyone, and the group leaders are only interested in the money and don't want to stand up to those kids. I personally passed my opportunity to go on this trips and choose to go with my family and my best friend, I wouldn't be caught dead in a group like that, with obnoxious people that don't know how to behave in society. That being sad, I can assure you that those groups are an embarrassment to our country and not all brazilians are like that.

ive never worked at a theme park but I did have a group horror experience at a restaurant i worked at many years ago. We were lounging around in the kitchen as it was a slow day. It was the usual crap of staff members dipping into the soup and enjoying the calm after a rush. Out of nowhere, one of the supervisors comes RUNNING into the kitchen and frantically orders us to go into the freezer and fast thaw every single pie in the building in any way we could. they had to be thawed and it had to be NOW. I peek out the door, mildly confused, and there I saw it: An old lady in a garish red hat.
This is the horror of every small restaurant or coffee shop. The Red Hat Society. These ladies come in large groups, NEVER call ahead, and will clean you out of tea and pie like locusts in a wheat field. There were pies in the microwave, pies in the ovens, pies pushed as close to the heat lamps as we could manage.... it was chaos. T_T

I want to clarify something regarding those Brazilian groups. In order for a Brazilian person to be able to afford a ticket to come to Disney they have to be filthy rich in Brazil. I mean very very rich. So when you're dealing with these groups of teenage girls, you're dealing with the most spoiled, rude and abnóxios type of Brazilians you can possibly imagem. Just like any spoiled rich kid of any culture, they act like the world is their oyster because their parents have money. My mom is Brazilian and I lived in a very wealthy area of Brazil and study in an expensive school when I was living there. I had to deal with these girls every day so I know exactly what I'm saying. Their entire life consist on showing off, calling attention, and being in a constant competition to prove who has more, and who is the prettiest. Not all Brazilians are like this. Old money Brazilians are the most educated and sophisticated people I have ever encounter in my life. I remember when America was in love with Brazil, back on Frank Sinatra and Carmen Miranda times. It's a shame that the beautiful part of the culture is slowly disappearing because of this new generation that doesn't care for it.

I was there when the group from South America was there and they were SO RUDE. They cut line during Haunted Mansion, I was in front of them, my sister and brother were in the mix of them and my parents were behind. By that point I was sick of it and I helped my family cut through them. Another time we were about to watch the Festival of Fantasy parade and my mom saved my dad and brother a seat because my brother had to use the bathroom and it was CLEAR she was saving a seat and 2 girls decide to stand where my mom had bags to save their seats. Also they were all standing when the parade came and nobody could see well, everyone wanted to sit. All of us asked nicely but they still wouldn't. Then, during the Festival of Lights parade (the one at the end of the night) they were all together. The whole like, 200 of them and they were chanting on the streets annoyingly loud, you couldn't hear the person in front of you trying to talk to you. They had been told multiple times by cast members to stop and they didn't. It was so ridiculous.

I will always remember my first trip to Disneyland. I was a very well behaved kid; I never got more than a few yards away from my family, so they didn't hold me or anything, they just let me wonder nearby. I was in a bright blue shirt as a procaution, which was apparently the wrong colour to wear that day. A very loud, terrifying group of tourists decended upon me. They had the SAME colour shirts. I was so scared. They swept me away in a tidal wave of neon blue. They thought I was one of them, and a stranger wisked me up, and started passing me around, assuming I lost my family. I had recently been adopted, and from events in my past I was incredibly afraid of strangers. I actually peed myself and cried (I was four and a half) they did not speek a language I understood. The woman that was holding me when I peed actually DROPPED me straight from being level to her face, down onto the cement, (I busted my knee open) disgusted with me. A photographer rushed over (he saw me get swept away) and yelled at the woman, whom actually SLAPPED him! The very nice staff patched me up and found me a princess dress to change into(I got it for free). The entire tour group got kicked out! And I got attention from Jasmine (my childhood favorite princess) while they found my family.(Which didn't take long, as they were frantically looking for me.) I'm very grateful to the staff for being so kind and actually acting and not standing by. I have a picture somewhere of the photographer holding me up next to Jasmine in my bell dress x3

A couple in front of us went up and addressed them that what they did was rude and they need to go back to the end of the line. They just laughed at them. I walked up there then and yelled not so kindly accompanied by my famous crazy death stare. They ALL started to immediately single file walk back to the end of the line to take their rightful place. First off thank you sir for helping families enjoy the magic of Disney. Secondly, I have visited one park a year for over 25 years and I just can't stand these groups. At Epcot I watched "Tour Guides" at fast pass terminals running what seemed like hundreds of tickets through thus making any popular ride near unreachable for a fast pass that day. At The Magic Kingdom, I stood in line with my family on a busy day to ride the "Jungle Cruise" for about two hours and literally minutes before we were getting to ride about a hundred kids from one group came marching in at the same time causing us to have to wait another hour. At Hollywood Studios there were over 4 groups there and the park was really not accessible for anybody outside of these groups. Lastly we were walking up to get in line for I can't remember the name of the ride but it was based on "The Little Mermaid". We saw about 10 kids from a group some going to get in line some just standing around. We took our place in line with now some of the group in front of us and some behind us. When it was our turn to get on the ride the ones behind us pushed me, my wife and my preteen daughter to the side to shove their way on the ride so they could "ride with their friends". I began to confront them as they went to jump on the ride but my wife stopped me as to not make a scene and disrupt the day for other people. I talked to the people running the ride and they did nothing. Disney needs to get a tighter reign on these groups as they are making people who have paid their hard earned money sometimes in the thousands from really getting to enjoy "The Happiest Place On The Planet".

Growing up in Florida, I remember going to various theme parks and every time there were Brazilian kids who would cut in line by saying, "excuse me" until they got in the front. These lines would be as long as a 2+ hr wait. Generally you would assume they're joining a small group just a few spots ahead and let them go. After a few times I blatantly stopped them and never let that fly again. Apparently they're taught that "excuse me" means "move to the side because I'm going in front".

    • @itsallgood3017
      @itsallgood3017 Před 7 lety +1

I also put a stop to that, cutting in line to get to the front. after a few times I knew the procedure; "excuse me", nope, go to the end you aren't getting past me anymore. You almost have to be rude to them. When we see them in the parks, we go the opposite direction. we made up jokes about them, like "how much is a Brazilian? is that a kazillian X 10?" I know, it's sad to do that, but they are just so annoying.

Oh man, I know this feeling. Earlier this year, we went on a trip to Disneyworld and decided to get up bright and early to be at every park as it opened so we could be first (or at least close to first) in line for the rides. When we went to the Animal Kingdom, my boyfriend and I got up at 6am sharp (we had extra magic hours) and made our way over to the park. When we got there, there were only a handful of us. Literally no more than like, 20 people. We were so psyched! Our first ride was going to be Expedition Everest.
Anyway, just as the park is about to open, we see this bus at the bus stop that is unloading tons of people wearing REALLY BRIGHT green and pink shirts. A few of them had those go-kart flags. They don't even waste time. They all rushed up and started pushing and shoving until they were up front. I looked to one of the guys that was pushing up against me and he just cracked a smile, said something in a language I didn't understand, and just kept going, like, it was OK to just do what he was doing. It felt really awkward. It was obvious they had no sense of order. At. All. And yes, they were very loud and very obnoxious.
Well, We somehow went from front of the line... to the back.... of at least 200 somethin' people (And there were still more in the process of getting off the bus).
The park opened and they all BOLT to expedition everest. Park employees were telling them not to run, but not a single one listened. My boyfriend and I kinda powerwalked to the ride, and once we got there... sure enough, they were all there. And the wait time was up to 95 mintues. Literally not even 5 minutes after the park had just opened. =/
We figured out it was a foreign tour group and decided to just stay away from them. The way you described them was to a T, the perfect way I would have described them as well. What's funny is, at the intro of your video, I IMMEDIATELY figured out what group you were talking about, especially when I saw the picture of the group wearing bright yellow shirts. They are, without a shadow of a doubt, very easy to recognize. You can see (and hear) them from a mile away.

I've been a frequent summer visitor to the parks, and have encountered large tour groups every year. I can attest to the fact that, in the past, they have been a big nuisance. We had to form a human wall in the queue of one attraction to keep dozens of them from continuing to cut the line to get to their friends "up there". There was chanting, clapping, etc. Cast Members have been very helpful to those of us trying to "go the other way", to no avail. However, both last summer and this summer, I have to say that I have not encountered any of those behaviors from the groups. No line cutting, no chanting, and no rudeness. I have no issue with any group in the park, as long as they are polite and well behaved. Hopefully this trend continues.

We were in Disney World last February and ran into several of the Brazilian groups and I've never seen anything like it. My daughter was doing the princess makeover inside the Bippity Boppity Boutique when a bunch of them walked in and started taking pictures of all the little girls inside the salon. Cast members and other parents were jumping in front of their cameras to block them. Security came and escorted them out but they were still trying to stand outside the salon and sneak pictures. Two cast members stood in the doorway trying to put their hands up in front of all their cameras. It was truly bizarre! There was so much commotion that it took the magic away and ruined the BBB experience.

Is it bad I knew what #1 was going to be? Went to WDW after New Years and there was one group of Brazilians than my sister and I always had the misfortune of running into throughout the weekend. Worst incident (among many) was them attempting to rush past the cast members in charge of Cinderella's Table. My sister and I checked in for our reservation (my Christmas gift to her) and were entering the hallway to wait for Cinderella and for our table seating, when the group realized that a) Cinderella was inside b) it was a restaurant. A few of them pushed their way into the hallway before cast members appeared to escort them outside. One of the kids pushed the cast member who really could not do anything but attempt to block the kid from getting around him with his body. A dad who was waiting for his table with his family helped with the body chain the cast members were trying to create, to keep these kids who weren't getting the hint that they shouldn't be in the hallway. Outside there was yelling I guess from security and the rest of the tour group members, as they attempted to break up the insanity /explain that this was a reservations only dining area (and, no-there were no tables for 30 that evening. Security came in to handle the kids that the cast-members were pushing back outside. Once the area was "secured" Cinderella came back out for pictures. Probably the weirdest experience ever. I know this is obviously not true if all Brazilian guests, there are annoying people from all over who behave badly at the parks, unfortunately the Brazilian tour groups have a bad reputation :/

I'm from Brazil. People loud and rude are usually: The new rich, the charity/donation receiver, and the poor people who pay the trip in 1-2 year installments. They don't speak English, don't bother trying and have no clue about proper manners. The other brazilian group, that people don't usually notice are the independent and the private guided ones. They tend to actually be shy, the opposite. They are notorious for being afraid to speak english and walking inside the shop and leave without buying anything. They are the ones that say "Sorry for my bad english". So, if you want to check if someone from Brazil is nice or not, ask him something in basic english. If the brazilian answers in a reasonably good english (sometimes fluent) and say "Sorry for my bad english", it's cool. You can trust he's a decent mannered human being.

I'm a brazilian. There are tourism agencies here that send teen groups BY THE HUNDREDS to Disney, and these Disney groups are so big and popular here it's not hard to see Brazilian teen celebs going to Disney with the groups. Although I've never went to Disney with a tour group, only with my family, it's well known here that these teens are loud, obnoxious and self-centered. I even joke with my family that since they're so loud and the groups are so big, that we call them "The Conjuring". Although, I'd like to say that not all Brazilian tourists are like this, in fact, most of the tourists we've met in Disney and the Orlando are that come from Brazil are very respectful and nice.

I am a Brazilian married to an American. We've lived in Orlando for many years and recently came to live in Brazil and we are going back as we can't adapt.
Most of what you've said feels very true. However, even Brazilians try to avoid each other. Those who live in Orlando and spot their fellow countrymen visiting - try and walk away and pretend to not understand a word of Portuguese for fear of association. Brazilians, as tourists behave in a in such an infamous disrespectful and inconsiderate manner - many of us who left that culture feel ashamed of it.
We've been in Brazil for 5 months and we will be getting back home. Even though it is my country with awesome people who are affectionate, fun and friendly - there's a very big issue with people of ALL social layers - a profound lack of consideration and respect for others - and it is part of the culture.
I am really sorry to say this. My hope is that someday Brazilians in general will realize their worth and start to value themselves and others enough to behave in a more kind and considerate way.

It was during the summer in Florida, which means rainy season and it started to pouring rain and thundering, so we had to seek shelter in the Timbuktu grill (back before the Timbuktu area was renamed Pantopia) and ended up stuck in a restaurant full of what I think we're probably Brazilian tour groups. There were maybe about a 100 people in those groups and they started standing up in the tables, stomping, clapping, and singing obnoxiously. Disney should make a rule that if you're going to come do a "tour group" you have to schedule in advance, or spit up into smaller groups. And maybe either the Mouse or the people bringing them to the states should show an etiquette video. I've seen those groups here in Florida at Busch gardens and it makes me want to leave the park because of how obnoxious they can be.
I went to Disney with my middle school band, enough to fill up a bus, and we all spit up into groups of about five or six. Made the trip easier on the chaperones, the people at Disney and us.

My mother was in her mid 80's and I took her to Epcot to see Illuminations. She is only 5 ft tall, so we got a spot on the fence next to the lagoon, 3 hours before showtime. In the last 15 minutes before showtime, a tour group from the country that you were referring to, started squeezing in front of her and others that have waited so long to hold their spot. The group had total disregard for those around them. Fortunately, she didn't fall and break a hip, but it was dangerous. She couldn't see the show, after all that time. I would rather those folks come as family's, then I'm sure they would behave fine. When they come as a large group, some groups take on sort of a mob mentality. Take a look at the misbehavior on beaches at spring breaks, (I'm referring to our own), but when they travel with their family's they behave OK.

Hi, this is the first time I ever placed a comment on you tube, but I have been watching a bunch of you videos and I really liked them. That being said, I am a Brazilian girl and when I first saw the title of this video I knew you were going to talk about Brazilian's tourists groups. And unfortunately I agree with everything you said... Brazilians groups a loud, they sing and cheer all around and are always causing trouble. What happens with those kind of groups is that they are usually teenagers around 15 years old. It is very common in Brazil to celebrate your 15th birthday at Disney (our 15th birthday is our version of yours sweet 16). So those groups are basic teenager for the first time away from home, and in the majority they don't speak English at all. That is why they sing during the shows, because they are not understanding anything and also sometimes they really don't want to see the show, but were dragged there by the group guide. And there are some kids (like me, when I was in one of those groups) that try's to behave but it is overwhelm by the others.
Brazilians alone are not that bad ( with a few exception) but it is difficult to a Brazilian to understand that they have to behave in a different way in other countries.
I have been at Disney 5 times so far, (and probably will go some more), in only one time I was in one of those groups, because I was 15th and could not go completely on my own. But even I don't like those groups, in fact when I am near one of them I do my best to not reveal that I am Brazilian

They were scheduled for an animal encounter with me, (with the cutest little white ferret they WOULD have been able to pet) but after a quick check in the room I saw the WORST behaved kids and teachers who had NO control whatsoever.

These tour groups are THE. WORST.
2nd year at Disneyworld we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter and they ran roughshod over the entire section of the resort we were in. Banging on random doors until early in the morning and Disney did nothing. It's like they were afraid of them. They fortunately changed our room. But they can ruin your day if you let them. They push and shove and swarm rides all at once.
We are going again this year with my 4 year old for the first time and these groups are my biggest concern. They are like one of the plagues unleashed upon Disneyworld.
And if anyone doesn't believe me, you have never dealt with them. You will always have rude people in any walk of life. But it's when the entire horde is rude and disrespectful is when it becomes too much.

Basically line jumping, littering, entering restricted areas, being rude to other guests and staff, etc. after multiple warnings and hundreds of complaints they had to go. It came down to 70 guests vs a few thousand, I felt bad though because people were cheering as they were being escorted out.
My opinion is if you visit another country you should learn how to behave there. The rules don't change just because you aren't used to them.

I'm so happy someone FINALLY said this! Each time I voice this exact statement to a friend they get irritated and wonder why i'm annoyed by people having fun. I get it!! its okay to have fun!! But when there is schools or these gatherings that come in by the dozens, its pretty annoying. Everyone tries to have the best time at disney, its everyones vacation, but when theres a group on a ride or attending a show and they're just purely yelling, waving their arms or doing some chant, it is annoying. Mainly, I feel bad for the cast members that have to put up with this, must get very tiring

I have been to Night of Joy a few times and can attest to amount of crazy that goes on. I went on It's a Small World and the kids in the boats in front of and behind me were all screaming so loud that you couldn't here the song (some would argue that wouldn't be a bad thing). They were also reaching down and splashing each other with water. One in the boat in front of me almost fell out from leaning over too far. It's sad they don't care

Oh god, Grad Nites. They have them at California Adventure right now, but during the day, they invade Disneyland. I skipped out on my own Grad Nite, to my classmates' surprise. "I thought you loved Disneyland!" "I do, that's why I refuse to see teenagers ruin it." I always feel so sorry for the other guests who unknowingly visit on those days. Of course, there were some well-behaved grads which were always appreciated, but you know, it's the bad apples that ruin the bunch. I'd say our most common tour group is Chinese instead of Brazilian, but they don't cause any problems besides how large the groups are and maybe some minor cultural differences.
We do have many foreign visitors, but not as many as Disney World. When I visited last January, it seemed like I heard guests speaking different languages where ever I went, which must be interesting to experience while working. There weren't any problems except I suppose some cultures are not used to blind people. While I was guiding my blind friend around, we stopped several times as many foreigners waited for us to separate instead of going around us. I'd stare them down until they got the message I wasn't letting go of her. It didn't matter if she had her cane out, they would still do this. While visiting Universal Orlando, we actually had a guy try to run between us out of nowhere. We had never experienced this at Disneyland.

I am a teenager, and I am appalled at what some teens do. Also, I am blind, and an acquaintance of mine who is also blind had a terrible experience at Disneyland regarding an awful teenager. There were 2 girls running, and 1 of the girls stepped on the cane of my friend. There is a strap on canes that you can put your wrist through for extra security. At the time, my friend was walking with her mom. She ended up falling with her cane and spraining her wrist. On top of that, she had a broken cane for the rest of the day at Disneyland. Even worse, the 2 girls never even stopped. Thankfully, I have never really had any severe issues at Disneyland. I have only really had people try to cross in front of me while trying to avoid my cane. As a result, they end up almost falling. I am afraid of this country's future. Just wait until these teens have teens.

Oh my gosh! I have a story like that too when I was a cp. I was friends with puppy and it was time for him to get some water. We were at the tear drop at studios before the hat was taken down. Puppy felt fine walking in on his own until he reached the other side of the hat where The Great Movie Ride is. There was a tour group all in yellow shirts, about 100 of them waiting to get in line for The Great Movie Ride. Puppy froze. The group was right in front of the door where puppy gets his water. Mickey did the same thing when he saw the group. The group hadn't seen them so they weren't rushed... yet. The attendant saw Micky and puppy, grabbed their hands and the three of them ran to get to the door for water. It was the most terrifying thing ever! Thankfully, Mickey and puppy made it.

I can’t deal with those tour groups. They are absolutely awful. Now a group of two or three in line isn’t a big deal they are fine. But when it’s all 50 of them it’s a problem. They shout, clap, sing, throw their backpacks everywhere and anywhere and don’t care who they trample or push out of the way. I saw them almost knock an old woman out of her wheelchair once and they didn’t care. My mom has talked to cast members and to the tour guides multiple times when we’ve been in the parks but nothing has ever changed.

Last Summer, a big group of the best behaved students in the sixth grade got to go to Disney World. We got YES tickets (Youth Education Series) so we got in the parks early and what not. In the middle of doing a lesson about gravity, design, and location choice, I saw a group of teens walk into the section of the park we were in. I didn't know if the park had open because they closed off this section so we could do our lessons, meaning no matter if it was open or not no one was allowed in there. Pretty soon park employees practically dragged them out the area.
Apparently, the teens were part of a tour group from a different country and they "didn't understand the chains meant they couldn't enter". Teens these days lol.

I've been to WDW many times since 2008 with my kids---the Brazilian tour groups were just as bad as advertised from 2008-16, but the 2 times I've been since, their behavior has been toned down significantly. I was told by a former employee that they were all warned that if they chanted/clapped/broke line/buffaloed their way into areas/etc., that they would be told to leave the premises immediately & to not return. I only saw one instance of chanting at closing time at Epcot the 2 times I've been. Hopefully this will continue going forward.

I think I know which country.
When I was working in Florida (not at Disney but right across from it) I had a coworker who told a story about them at a Hotel she worked at. The story goes that one day she came to work and there was a real big mess going on, all the housekeeping staff walked out I mean they ALL quit that day. The reason was that the group from that certain country did not use the bathroom correctly the entire time they stayed in the hotel. During their stay they ALL used the bathtub to relieve themselves and because they were a group they all checked out on the same day and the staff went in to clean and found $**t in the tubs in every room they stayed in and they were there for a week so.....

A couple months back I went to Disneyland and when I got there first thing in the morning I made a beeline for the Hungry Bear restaurant-it was closed, so nobody’s there so I sidle into the restroom and sneak into the handicap stall to change clothes. (I was wearing board shorts under my joggers already but I didn’t wanna remove the joggers onstage.) Once out, I took off my turtleneck to reveal my lifeguard shirt, and went on splash mountain, covering my bag with my raincoat.
Folks if you’re reading please take my word for this, if you must change clothes for any reason and there isn’t a designated changing room, use a restroom stall, ideally a low-traffic one, and preferably a non-handicap if you can squeeze yourself and your bag in there. (I had an oversized bag at the time.)

Ok, not that I have anything against Brazilian's because I know they aren't all the same, and I've met some very nice people in groups from there, but some can be outrageously obnoxious it's insane! One time while I was at Busch Gardens, I was getting on the Cheetah Hunt and a whole flock of them came rushing on. My dad and I were in the front seats and all the rows behind us were filled with a group. Before the ride even started they all started screaming and clapping right in our ears, it was pretty much making our ears bleed (ok that's a little over the top but you get what I'm saying.) And as soon as that ride took off, all you heard were screams and I understand like I scream on rides all the time too but even when the ride was going slow they're still screaming their lungs out and even when the ride was ending, they're still screaming their lungs out! They stopped as soon as the car pulled into the loading station. And this happened about 5 more times that day. Please please if you are going on one of those trips wherever you're from, please think about the people around you too. You aren't the only ones there. But definitely still enjoy yourself, maybe just a little more quietly.

I know how you feel bro. When I was in High School, I was given a job working at MGM (Disney Hollywood). So I got to work at the ABC Restaurant during Christmas break. I loved the job... But... Christmas Eve.... The park was FULL! We had a line going to the restaurant next door. We were rushing to get orders filled and maintain our Disney smiles. And out of no where, a guy with his family. "CAN YOU HURRY THE F*** UP! WE HAVE F***ING HUNGRY CHILDREN HERE!" I was blown away but not only how extremely rude this guy was but how he dropped the f bomb twice, once to say he has children. I do miss working at Disney. But two weeks I had. I loved being allowed behind the walls to explore on my breaks. But I know how you feel. When I visit Disney as a fun seeker, I am on my best behavior. For I want to have fun and not ruin it for other guests OR the workers who bust their rumps every day to give us entertainment.
