Puppy Apartment yeah, I think I consulted both the instructions and the video. Knowing how to set up the apartment was relatively simple. The only thing I messed up was that I originally put the room divider in backwards. What I meant when I said setup was difficult was physically assembling the crate and placing the room divider in so that all of the hooks would go in the right place. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad.

Could you please give some tips to maintain a clean odour free home while raising my dog. Lots of brushing. Lots of bathing. Lots of love and calmness because i don't know if this is science but i feel they sweat yucky and have anal glad secretions when stressed. Get the dog fixed or it will have periods or if male hump everything and by antsy from needing to mate and give off pheromones and odors. Brush her teeth or five dental chews and real bone from like petsmart. I think they're cow femurs? My last dog had great teeth until about 14 with this! Always had ok breath. Dry food not wet food and better or the right food is less farts and less stinky well formed poops formed. Make sure you get all the right fleat tickmeds . Heartworm test and meds a MUST get rabies shots, and dewormer all from vet. Learn to cut nails correctly or they'll bleed or have a groomer or very do it! This is all I learned from my last dog. What do you think about training your dog to use the pad as well as go outside. You mentioned a few reasons for this like someone in a high-rise apt, or bad weather preventing you from taking them outside. I wonder will this work also with my thoughts of not making it home from work on time or just plain late ... so instead of your dog trying to hold their bladder for too long they have the option to go on the pad. I just wonder does this kind of training confuse the dog? Thank you in advance Zak. I had this problem with a Golden Retriever I had many years ago and now I might be getting a much smaller dog this time. Hi Zak thank you for this informative video - questions - there is no room for puppy to play only bed and toilet is that ok? we have a 4 month old poodle puppy I bought a wire cage 120cm x 120cm with sleeping and toilet tray area - but he continues to poop here and there, sometimes in the tray but more often not. I was advised to make his living space smaller like in this video so he would learn where to poop easier and that he might be confused or afraid in a larger space so goes wherever. So the idea is that they sleep in this at night as well as using it as a general crate during times when they're home alone? Big difference. Your idea sounds good in theory, but will not work very well. A puppy needs a small confined area to sleep and a small, but slightly larger area to potty. The PTPA creates a specific area to potty without providing other space to potty. A playpen with a potty pad will confuse the puppy and the puppy will potty all over the area within the playpen and will rarely go on the pad. If you follow the PTPA DVD training, your dog will eventually be able to graduate to having a playpen attached to the PTPA, but will continue to potty inside the PTPA. How would you go about training the dog to permanently remove the potty pads from the home? Do they simply stop using the pads and ask to go out as they get older and understand more? If you decide you want your dog to also potty outside, then that is also okay. We have training tips in our Instructional video showing you how to easily teach your dog both. If you decide in the future, you no longer want your dog being able to potty indoors, then you would simply remove the Puppy Apartment from your home. Keep in mind that most of our customers like making the Puppy Apartment an alternative choice for their dog on those days when the weather is bad or they are not able to get home in time to let their dog outside. So this does not permanently set in the dog's that it's okay to only go potty indoors. The set up does not require the dog have this the rest of their lives.

So this is great for its early years but how do I get an older puppy to only relieve themselves outside on a walk after thraining them this? Also, what if I'm gone for 8 hours after the puppy is no longer a puppy and is fully potty trained. If it needs to go, and I leave out a puppy liner pad, will it use it? Also, will the dog know to wait to be let outside before going potty, if no potty liners are lying around?

Hey, am training my 10week old toy poodle for potty routine in balcony. I have been pro active, and have been taking out at appropriate intervals, however the pup does the business out of pee pad. I just purchased the Medium PTPA for my Havanese puppy (I wanted to go possibly too big rather than possibly too small). Setting up the PTPA for the first time was a bit difficult, but I can't wait to try it out with my new puppy when he comes home in a few weeks.

Puppy Apartment yeah, I think I consulted both the instructions and the video. Knowing how to set up the apartment was relatively simple. The only thing I messed up was that I originally put the room divider in backwards. What I meant when I said setup was difficult was physically assembling the crate and placing the room divider in so that all of the hooks would go in the right place. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad.

Could you please give some tips to maintain a clean odour free home while raising my dog. She is 8 month old Labrador retriever.She lives in a crate outside home by thinking that our home would be filled with dog odour and fur. Our family lacks experience and exposure on raising dog. Lots of brushing. Lots of bathing. Lots of love and calmness because i don't know if this is science but i feel they sweat yucky and have anal glad secretions when stressed. Get the dog fixed or it will have periods or if male hump everything and by antsy from needing to mate and give off pheromones and odors. Brush her teeth or five dental chews and real bone from like petsmart. I think they're cow femurs? My last dog had great teeth until about 14 with this! Always had ok breath. Dry food not wet food and better or the right food is less farts and less stinky well formed poops formed. Make sure you get all the right fleat tickmeds . Heartworm test and meds a MUST get rabies shots, and dewormer all from vet. Learn to cut nails correctly or they'll bleed or have a groomer or very do it! This is all I learned from my last dog. Enjoy your dream!❤❤❤ i think having a doggie is like a dream come true too!

I have 2 puppies, is it better to get 2 crate for each dog instead of one for both?

Big difference. Your idea sounds good in theory, but will not work very well. A puppy needs a small confined area to sleep and a small, but slightly larger area to potty. The PTPA creates a specific area to potty without providing other space to potty. A playpen with a potty pad will confuse the puppy and the puppy will potty all over the area within the playpen and will rarely go on the pad. If you follow the PTPA DVD training, your dog will eventually be able to graduate to having a playpen attached to the PTPA, but will continue to potty inside the PTPA.
