A group of Live Action Role Players get lost in the woods and stumble upon an old couple who mistake the LARPers for real medieval soldiers. www.imdb.com/title/tt1964865
oh my god this is my new favorite thing, I need a t-shirt that says "YOU CAN'T CHAIN CAST LIGHTING BOLTS WITHOUT RUNNING OUT OF MAN!" I would pay for that
Ugh, the main character is really annoying. _assuming_ that the girl likes him, pretending that LARP is _stupid_, not respecting the roleplay... I guess he's learnt his lesson by the end but I don't think he should've gotten the girl, not considering how rude he was. Maybe have her respect him a little instead, and have them become friends.
Haha, you sound so butthurt. That's how you court women; you assume they like you. That's how it is in every country that I know of. I'm sure it's the same in lesbian courting also. Women find confidence attractive in the majority of cases. I thought it was noteworthy that all 3 guys in the "party" were fairly hot (7-8/10), and the girl was only like a 4/10, yet they pretended she was attractive.
RPing the non-RPer? Fun perspective ... was well done though I personally could never manage to LARP. Take my hat off to axeman though, he played it to the last detail
Wow, I know this video is 7 years old, but man, this makes me want to get back into larp and rp it. I was always about the fighting (and dressing up as knights) but now that I'm a bit older, I kinda want to rp bro.
I wish this had more veiws.. im going to my first larp this week.. and i'm an elf theif. I'd love to see a second one of these! Maybe with the same people on a diffrent adventure. And an intro to a new character that is possible an orc? >u< Oh gosh.. it's already been 4 years since this happened though..
really casual LARP ain't it. I've always wanted to try LARP but never could, didn't have the confidence to do it. one of my friends said there's one coming up soon and I'm joining him so I hope I have fun.
@@vitazissel3671 Not dressing like crap, as seen in the video, and actually putting some effort into acting their roles? To be fair, I've seen US LARPs that do better in both categories.
The guy dressed up in the Link costume at 1:08 cracked me up and I don't know why. Actually, now that I looked closer there's another person dressed up as Link in the background at the right at 1:20 ...in shades... and at 4:12...
Ah, the memories. I was an extra in this movie, and you can see me at 15:23 to the left of the king. I was one of the LARPers brought in to be part of this movie, as our group meets in the next town over from Sarasota, Bradenton.
This is incredible! I'm a student learning the ways of filming and script writing, and I have been seriously considering going to Ringling in the future. I've been in one of there student films, and it was fun. I'm sure you guys will go places for comedy and creativity!
Don't expect it to be like this. I was an extra, and they used every bad stereotype they could come up with for LARPING to make this movie. I am one of the extras that they brought in that has LARPing experience, and I could see all of them.
Wow. That is superb! camera work was great, good scenario.. for how long did you shoot this? Dialogue could be better but overall great job! I would love to see more of your work. Lightningbolt! :)
We use Bamboo Swords made to look like Medieval Swords. They have the weight and feel of a real sword instead of these light weight foam rubber things.
HEY! YOU CAN'T CHAIN CAST LIGHTING BOLTS WITHOUT RUNNING OUT OF MANA!!
+dc2008242 been there. ITs true
Lexi Feld lol
he must have used berserk
Also, if your sword hits a spell, it usually acts as if the spell hit your arm
+Lauren Schissler and damages your weapon making it useless.
My friend was like the guy in this movie, he was saying "LARPing is stupid", and then he tried it and has done it ever since :D
That's usually how it goes...
Shard Live Action Roleplaying not me. from the moment I was told about it I was like, that is the coolest fucking thing I have ever heard of.
I love the civil war reenactor, he's just sitting there like,
" Well, what more did I expect? "
Did anyone else notice the guy dressed as Link?
yup
Yes
Not sure if the director/write reads these, but this was actually suprisingly great, it deserves a full length or multi-episode adaptation.
"For the king ! Let's attack the kings guard! "

the beard guy is my favorite xD
Guy with the beard is a total hoot. The whole thing is hilarious. In a good way.
Clive was my fucking favorite one out of all them haha if the guy who acted as him really played this game id play with him any day :D

It was a movie thats how the guy gets the girls in most movies
@@mithmon2084 oof, that's pretty cringey to read
Hey! You can't chain cast lightning bolt without running out of mana!
I like how when you are LARP'ing and you DON'T dress up then you are a loser XD 2:05
What's behind your back? Turns around, nothing! XD
HAHA, I loved it! I love LARP, always wanted to.
XD I love how they end it with the unrealistic make out. :P
Same
I do Larp sometimes, I wish I could play with you! However, I live in Holland...
Bashur?!?!?
whaat basher huh
RPing the non-RPer? Fun perspective
... was well done though I personally could never manage to LARP. Take my hat off to axeman though, he played it to the last detail
I randomly got here.. that clive & lightning bolt guy should totally have their own skit they were hilarious. LIGHTNING BOLT LIGHTNING BOLT LMAO
"We're taking that guy with us."
Tied up man: "I miss my family..."
Clyve is fantastic
Wow, I know this video is 7 years old, but man, this makes me want to get back into larp and rp it. I was always about the fighting (and dressing up as knights) but now that I'm a bit older, I kinda want to rp bro.
It'd be funnier if I hadn't been to larps like this, or worse...

this was actually a really nice story, and the movie was pretty nice quality.
Very funny! I love when the old woman says "Come on, I'll make you those favorite brownies." Old hippies are great! LOl
bringing the fantasy and real world together while strengthening friendships

This dude should make more LARP stuff. Like maybe a series in which a war is being played out.
This was great, my compliments to the team and actors for sure!
LARP in the US looks so old shool. Like german LARP back in the 80s ^^ ...
What are the Germans doing!?

THIS WAS AMAZING I WANT TO GO LARPING EVEN MORE NOW!!! PLEASE KEEP MAKING THESE VIDEOS!!!!
I dont know how many times ive watched this.
i loved every second of it. please continue to do this.
I can't be the only one who's been looking for a good LARP movie/documentary ever since watching Darkon? GOTTA GET MAH FIX.
You dont need a movie if you play in the movie. Thats what LARP is all about.
This is the greatest thing ever
Nicely done! I wish Knights of Badassdom had ended more like this.
Ah, the memories. I was an extra in this movie, and you can see me at 15:23 to the left of the king. I was one of the LARPers brought in to be part of this movie, as our group meets in the next town over from Sarasota, Bradenton.
These guys are pros! Professional dorks are so much more entertaining than regular dorks.
i love the guy who jumps off of the bench at the very end, it looks like he has no idea what to do
None of them were real Larpers, and yes, none of them really did know what to do. I was the only real Larper in the extras and it was not pretty.
the axe guy is the best :D
Which axe guy, the guy with the beard who was a main character, or the 7'4" guy who got beaten?
hello from 2019
and this is still good
It reminds me of glorious battles we fought ...
6:17 when the arrow hits him in the chest. That was the best thing I've seen today! Amazing job on this btw!
Originally it was meant to hit him in the face. They changed it to the chest when their archer could not hit that target.
OK ~~ Now I know and understood the meaning of LARP ~~ thanks for sharing that cute play .... 10/8/2020
This is an awesome mini-movie! Well done.
I really enjoyed this. Great job!
It wasn't... too... terrible, but it was kinda painful to watch. And when he kissed her at the end out of nowhere, just... no, ew. :B
"ew"? How old are you, 12?
Old enough to know a good couple from an awful excuse-couple.
The pasing was awfull I have to agree...
I have a feeling it was supposed to be cheesy. I could be wrong though.
Miles Matheson lol i am 12 and could appreciate it it was a good short film
I love this ! haha :) Very good camera and editing :) Also the story was really fun.
I'm in love with your blades~! They're fab.
Link rolling was priceless LARPing right there. Love this, well done.
The credits ended, and almost laughed myself silly with the sight of Link.

Unbelievable work, gentlemen! From one LARPer to another...I commend you all.
but da hands switched a few times and a few small mistakes all in all this is amazing how do you only have 125 subs?
That's a criminal lack of subscribers
*grunts* "C'mon, it's been thirty feet."
"I'm fine, we must make haaaaaaaste!!!" lol
And so it begins
This is amazing.
