    Also some tip. If you see your military allies having positive relation with your potential enemy (for example, playing as nurgle, allied with greasus. He had positive relation with miao ying). Declare war on them as soon as possible so your ally doesn't hate you later

      Excellent! I forgot to include that, but you've said it perfectly here. This is a very fun trick, particularly as evil factions, to divide and conquer. Very much falls in line with "keeping your friendlies aligned and with common enemies".
      Well played and thanks for the valuable addition!

    I've learned some neat information that I didn't know but I would have liked some more details. Such as:
    1) The rate which opinion boost from gifts are reduced per turn, because it's not always the same. What's causing it?
    2) Does having treaties remaining for longer increase their impact on opinion?
    3) Sometimes opinion boost or hit by certain actions remain consistent for so many turns just doesn't go away, why that happens?
    4) There are hidden agressiveness mechanics working in the background that hinders your diplomatic prospects but it's changable. I have found that sometimes you can break the ice and that faction is not only more receptive to your agreements, but also suddenly have increased opinion from your current positive opinion modifiers.
    5) More details on faction characteristics, such as Lizardmen "cold blooded logic".

    • @ElvenPlotArmour
      @ElvenPlotArmour  Před rokem

      1) boost is typically the same, but there's just more negatives underpinning. Eg +10 against -40 means you'll need 5 gifts to bring to the positive. Keep in mind these gifts will provide a minor bonus to their friend/enemy opinion of you.
      2) Having longer treaties isn't really a factor, in fact you'll need to look closely as the threats to you both fall, you need to keep roping them into wars in common.... if you start living your own lives distrust will brew into thoughts of "How long is it until...."
      3) Long relationships mainly factor into betrayals and how long it wrecks your reliability. Having better reliability typically helps dirt stick less.
      5) Cold-blooded logic is effectively a negative modifier that makes them less reasonable and more primitive (war threat oriented) in terms of a deal. While these factor in, they are mere influencers in the overarching system which hinges on "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and getting the wider opinion of your longterm rivals to be shared with future allies.

    important thing you forgot, and that goes for almost all TW titles exept 3K, don't forge too many military/defensive alliances with factions that might declare war on each other
    unlike in 3K where you can pull all allies in a shared coalition and vote on stuff, in WH like in most TW titles you get massive penalties in Honor/Realtions/Realiability if you are asked to declare War on an ally or forsake the attacked other ally

    Hey mate, I want to thank you for making all this amazing content. Your guides have had a big impact on my experience with the TWWH games and helped me “learn” how to enjoy the game.
    I followed your buyers guide and got WH1/WH2 and the crucial DLC’s on sale!
    What is your opinion on the current state of WH3? I know it had a rocky launch and I’m wondering how it is at the moment.
    It is on sale right now (not a big discount but hey) and I’m considering getting myself a little Christmas present.
    Apologies for the long comment, just want you to know that you’re awesome and you have had a positive impact on the TWWH community.

      The TLDR is Immortal Empires is finally in a good place and currently I've only enjoyed my campaigns. After the next DLC it'll be no doubt the better experience, but unless you really love Chaos or want to try the new toys, Mortal Empires is excellent until you find a good special/game pass. Overall, WH3 WILL get there and if you're a big fan you'll probably really like the current build.
      Appreciate the kind words mate!

    "If you see a faction about to get wiped out dont balance for their gold they need it to fight back"
    Well- On the contrary actually because if they are about to fully cark it thats all the more reason TOO get all their gold because they wont be needing it. The enemy wont be stealing it. And it would just get wasted otherwise.

    • @ElvenPlotArmour
      @ElvenPlotArmour  Před 4 měsíci

      That can absolutely be the correct thing to do. It all depends on what you want that faction to do. If they last a few more turns it means you'll save many more times that money by not having to raise more armies to deal with an impending threat. If they still have several settlements they can hold off an enemy if given the chance which can be the better choice if you have several fronts. Otherwise, if they have 1 settlement and no army, then sure, take their stuff haha.

    hi how do i vassalize a faction? the game tells me i can destroy or make them a vassal but i dont see the vassal option

    • @ElvenPlotArmour
      @ElvenPlotArmour  Před rokem

      Vasals are completely subservient to their overlord and thus are typically connected to evil/dominating races (ie chaos aligned). While good factions will get to military ally, this will provide the same benefits except you strip them from diplomatic independence and you get a cut of their treasury. Eg) with warriors of chaos, you'll notice the option available. Note that vassals need to be kept happy so sporadically gift them plenty to keep them happy as well as resourced. To save on this cost, get vassals that are typically/naturally aligned with you so they don't hate you for having vassals they despise (same concept as alliances). People that complain "my allies are useless" are typically hogging all the resources - give them enough to defend and attack and you'll see them helping you out. Cheers!

      @ElvenPlotArmour thanks for the reply I am playing the ever queen in immortal relms (first time playing ) but it told me I can vassalize or destroy the wood elfs but I didn't want to destroy the twin sisters since I spent all my early game helping them take out the old woman and the dark elf also the undead too so basically made them powerful but couldn't vassalize them that's why I was curious... ty again for the help once I get my victory on this campaign I will play vlad and issabella next (high elfs and vampires is the main reason I got this game lol ) then I might try the vassal thing with them since they are chaos aligned right?

    I'm not going to give thumbs up or down. The information is good. But much of the examples use the alternative mode that is in development. Which also requires additional purchase of previous games to access. You might claim it's the same. But there is really no reason to do this. Rather than just use the main game since that is what everybody has. Especially because the other one is still very much under construction. This applies to any general info about the game that isn't specific to the really access play test. Should always be using the main game.
    Same issue for previous videos about battles. There's no reason to use IE early access when there is the main game.
    When it comes to gifts. I don't really give it to boost relations. But I use it early on to help out other ai factions. And even in deals I sometimes reduce their payment offer if I think they need the money.
    For example playing Ice Court. I typically initially give one small gift to Empire factions. This seems to help Ostemark and Stirland push back vampires. But never to Ostland who I always squeeze as much out of in deals. Since they're typically loaded.
    This also helps the dwarf if I give him a gift immediately. So he can take his province.
    Something strange I noticed is ai factions not building up forces when they have a huge bank. Perhaps they don't want to go negative income from upkeep. Reikland seems to just suicide into ogres after recruiting a few units.

    • @ElvenPlotArmour
      @ElvenPlotArmour  Před rokem +3

      Hey first up if this came across as an uninclusive guide as it is absolutely aimed at new players who may only have WH2 or WH3 (no big map). The mechanics of diplomacy are largely consistent, except WH3's new mechanics which are mentioned.
      You are correct, IE is still in Beta, but short of a new mechanic, this is the final system (at least for a few years).
      Diplomacy can be confusing so I used this large map to create the easiest to follow examples as possible.
      Regarding relations not needing gifts, the Realms of Chaos campaign is quite unique in that it starts off with effectively all the daemon factions warring at the order factions. This means the natural bonuses add up VERY quickly and many factions are essentially on side or decidedly at war by the time you meet them. In some cases, if a faction is completely neutral, that first gift will get you to a Non-Aggression many turns sooner, which will then compound to get the other treaties sooner. You'll probably be able to balance deal the money back and get trade and earn sooner too.
      Next up, I really like your awareness of the map. If you're a new player it's excellent you understand the value of keeping an eye on your neighbors strength and supporting them. Well done! I consider that more advanced play.
      As for the Empire in the RoC Campaign... They aren't really done justice in this campaign and seem to exist as daemon and ogre fodder unless you help them. I think it's worth keeping them going as it gets lonely with Kislev, quickly! Hopefully you're enjoying your time with WH3. If you are I recommend keeping an eye out for WH1 & 2 on special, or on G2G games/instant gaming, etc. IE really is an impressive step up and I think you'd have a blast putting those sweet diplmoacy skills to work as Karl Franz or the Dwarfs. Either way, thanks for sharing and happy gaming mate!

    • @seeess925
      @seeess925 Před rokem +1

      @@ElvenPlotArmour I got both previous games free on Epic. And yes Karl Franz is the one I play tested mostly in IE. And yes it is quite enjoyable. So I'm looking forward to when it's completed. That does not change the fact you do not need to use a larger map for demonstration of diplomacies or anything. Everything regarding diplomacies as well as combat and any aspect of the game can be done in the base TWH3 game. No reason at all to use IE for anything that isn't specific to the development and testing for it. And definitely not reputable to be using IE. When you have the officially released game available. There is zero reason to use IE for anything not specific to IE. As stated - it does not matter if the functionally carries over to IE. Since IE is still an alternate game mode even if it wasn't in development. And the fact that it is still very much in development just makes it even a worse idea to use. Then to make matters even far worse - especially something meant for beginners who like to follow along. With examples that can be seen in game. Not in additional content that requires additional purchase. Yet always using IE for absolutely no reason. When there is the main game that everybody can follow along with. That is the whole problem with these videos. The main game is there. Yet keep using alternative game mode that is still in development for completely no reason.
      Yes Empire is great to have as an ally when playing Ice Court. They are not difficult to gain alliance with pretty quick. And they can be coordinated to deal with threats on multiple fronts.
      I've been checking funds of other factions by doing pretend deals. Like selling them land or joining their war. Just to see how much they will pay. But then cancelling the deal.
      Info of the vid is good. Using IE early access rather than the main actual game - not good.

      It’s simple. EPA has to keep covering the new content, while being inclusive with the previous entries.
      That is the nature of the TWWH series, it’s continually building on itself.
