- The Edgun Leshiy 9 mm versus the winged menace!
An overkill for sky rats indeed, but as requested by you, my viewers, here's a video showing the effect of a high-powered PCP airgun on feral pigeons.
The birds are pests at farms and granaries, causing all sorts of sanitary issues and losses to the farmers and owners.

They do, Travis, yes, thanks, mate 🙂
Another great video. Thanks for all your hard working putting these together to take us along on your adventures. My wife starting shooting with me because of your videos. She got her first sky rats last week and now she is hooked.
That's just awesome, David 🙂 Turn the sport into a family activity, a bonding experience helping marriage. Gotta try the same with mine 😄 Thanks, bud 🤝
Growing fast and with every video getting better and better! One of my favorites your channel!
Most kind of you, bud, thanks! 🤝
It means a lot, I'm grateful for your comment and for watching!
Great video Alex!
So many cute kitty cats on the new permission.
They love the Leshy 2. When they see it they know a meal is about to be served!
Perhaps at this point they really associate guns with a fresh meal 😄 Thanks, bud! 🤝
Glad to see are keeping the new kitties fed!
Every time I go there 😊
Sky rat eradicator supreme!
Great video and shooting, thanks for taking us along!
Thank you for joining me, friend 🙂 I appreciate it and I hope to see you on the next one 🤝
I think the 9mm isn’t too big for a pigeon. In fact it’s more humane. They go down faster, no flopping around. The expense of the slugs in negligible as far as price goes compared to center fire ammo. Raise up the foot lbs and see what havoc they cause those jackals!
You do have the best videos on CZcams. Many people can hardly wait for you to make more. For me, I just want one everyday! Cheers!
Well said. A heavy pellet is better to put the lights out instaquick on the pests, and he's also feeding the natural predators of those bastards. Balance in a nutshell.
Thank you for the nice comments, boys 🙂 I'll have to put the Leshiy 9 mm to good use again soon.
Thanks for giving me so much credit, Randal, it really means a lot, mate 🙂🤝
Fantastic work as usual👍
Thanks a mil, I appreciate it 🙂
You make LMFAO! That cat knows you 😂
She does, and I bet she was wondering where the heck I'd been for so long 😄
Your videos and editing is excellent 😂
You give me so much credit, Dave, thank you 🙏🙂
What a beast of a gun Alex, nice to see the gully getting nailed also, quality video as always mate
Thank you, brother 🙂
Alex, thank you for another great shooting video, I like the slow no after the shots.
Thanks, mate, glad you enjoyed it, more on the way. Cheers 🤝
Another excellent video and just love the kittens and cat 🐈⬛ am sure you have made some friends for life 😂
Remains to be seen, Chris 😄 Thanks, friend 🤝
Nice work, buddy, and especially for taking care of those cute cats!
Cheers, brother 🙂
Great video and i loved seeing the kittens coming to get pigeons
Thanks, Steve, the cats are totally stealing the show 😄
Great video. Excellent processing and footage.
Glad you enjoyed it, friend, thank you so much for watching and your comment 🙂
Another fantastic video Alex, wow that 9mm is a beast mate, always great shooting and a brilliant watch , and the Finche is a Goldfinch my friend Cheers 👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks, Casper, to me it seems as if I was the only who didn't know what those birds were 😄 Cheers, brother 🙂🤝
Enjoy your videos a lot young man - keep up the good work. Stay well bro
Thank you, Sir, you make me feel much younger than I actually am 😄
The red/yellow birds are called Stieglitz in Germany. Goldfinch I think that's the right translation!? 🤔
Yes, brother, you're spot on 🙂 Thank you for watching and for the explanation 👍
Your 9 mm pallets are an instant off switch for the sky-rats. Excellent shooting, as always.
Thank you, friend 🙂 Those things hit like a hammer and I start wondering what the 9 mm Hades would do to a sky rat... 😉
I love cats! Your videos of these wild kittens are precious! Go in peace my brother!
Thanks again, Dave, more will come soon 🙂 I'm a cat person myself.
Back when CZcams was not so uptight I use to spend time watching all sorts of videos such as these. Good shooting.
Thanks, mate 🤝 I agree, the platform is pretty restrictive these days...
It was good to see the 9 mm in action. Every hit sent a puff of feathers flying. Looking forward to seeing
more of the 9 mm in action.
Thank you, Gary 😊 I'm starting to wonder what 9 mm Hades would do to the sky rats 😉

WOW!, Alex, that Beast makes my .22 sub -12fp, look like a pea-shooter. Excellent shooting , by the way. P.S., the wife is more or less recovered from her foot surgery, and I've had to become even more sneaky at my backyard skyrat shooting, like hiding in my garden bar at 5am for a quick snipe, then creeping back to bed before she wakens.
It's amazing that you manage to pull that off, Stephen 😄 Keep it up, mate, and thank you 🤝✌️
"excellent" shooting ?............I beg you pardon ?.......... Taking the wind into calculation = yes........ taking a clean death for the pigeons in consideration = no... !!
@@danizweifler6061Have you ever heard anything so "Wet" taking a clean death for the pigeons in consideration = no... !
You always put out the best content on CZcams as far as hunting and pest control. I will be buying a Leshiy 9mm here soon.
Cheers from California!
My greetings to sunny California, friend, and thank you so much for watching and for the nice comment; I'll do my best to live up to your expectations from now on too. Cheers 🙂
Awesome content. Those 9mm pellets sure packs a punch
Sledge hammers for the pigeons 🙂 Thanks, bud. Soon we might see what the Hades 9 mil does to sky rats 😉
That's hitting about as hard as a gunpowder pistol. The firepower is no laughing matter.
@@DinnerForkTongue that's true, mate. It's like a transonic cartridge on a rim fire.
those kittens just made a good memory for a food source, look for a guy with a rifle, maybe food will drop for me
I kinda hope they developed a taste for pigeons and will start hunting them themselves 😉
those pellets certainly stop the skyrats in their tracks, even if they were wearing a suit of armour...
Imagine that, a sky rat with body armour 😉 I hope we never see that. Thanks, bud.
The skyrats being hit by 9mm is like a human being hit by 14.5mm or 4-bore calibers - armor literally wouldn't save them 😈
Never seen those pellets that size before, wow , great videos you do , probably the best on CZcams
Thank you, Malcolm, most kind of you and it means a lot, buddy 🤝
Good kitties, nice kitties, Uncle feeds them all to not waste wild protein. Good videos.

Coming soon, friend, thank you 🙂 I'm always mindful of the surroundings and I take safety very seriously.
I wonder at what velocity would a 9 mm shoot to remains in the sun 12 fpe realm...
@@AirRifleActivities Slow enough that you could see the pellet in flight, I'm afraid. By that point I'd rather just use a slingshot.
@@DinnerForkTongue did you manage to see it without the slow mo, friend?

Awesome video Alex and the 9 mm sure does a number on the sky rat's. I don't blame you on making sure of your backstop because that's a big chunk of lead that doesn't have air breaks. Next up 9 mm Hades pellets guaranteed to make a sky rat explosion. Cheers brother
Thank you, Donald 🙂 The P3 by RTI is up next and then I intend to give them sky rats a taste of the 9 mm Hades. Catch you on the next one, friend 🙂🤝
Where I live, people tend to protect skyrats, believe it or not ! Perhaps of religious purposes, but they use to forget that these animals carry many diseases in their defecation and body. They feed them and complain that their population is overcrowded in big cities...I think it is the legendary human duality 🤣
You're doing quality content as usual, and be sure that you have the support of your online community ! 😀💖

Nice to see a gull get whacked, it's illegal to shoot them in the States. The 9 is an absolute beast when it comes to pigeons. Good job.
And UK. Crazy Coz the inland ones exist in vast numbers are are a right nuisance
Thanks a mil, James, and I would never do anything like that in the States. I know about that migratory bird act that protects them.
@@captainboing it's really insane, those birds pose a threat in many levels and are a nuisance.
OMG, is there a 9mm Edgun Leshiy made where can i buy it .......?
You can see the link in the video description, mate 🙂 It's where I got mine. Thank you and shoot straight 👍
Sometimes i wonder how they can still move, when you blow such a large hole into them... great video once again!
Thanks, buddy 😊 In this case it's the projectile that carries a lot of energy and makes a pass through.
9mm slugs on pigeons!! Lights Out.
Nice work.
Thanks, bud 🙂 Actually those were diabolo pellets but they still pack a lot of punch.
did you get the pellets out before feeding em to the cats, or did they go straight though?
Pass throughs on the 9 mil, mate 🙂 Overkill for pigeons but I wanted to try. And besides, cats will never ingest the projectile. They're not seagulls engulfing everything, they're careful 😉
What feet per second can you get her up to in 9mm if you wanted.
Haven't pushed it to its limits, buddy, but I think I can squeeze out another 40 or 50 fps with the 81 grainers.
Great shooting as always!! It may have been due to the shorter range, but the heavier pellets seem to have a slightly flatter trajectory than the .22s. Have you ever considered contacting any of the pellet manufacturers to see if they could try different grades of lead/alloy mixtures, to make a 'softer' mix that could be used in the indoor areas with less worry about overpenetration or richochet? Thanks for another interesting vid!!
I thank you, David 😊 Manufacturers would hardly pay any attention to a guy like me, I'm afraid 😉
@@AirRifleActivities BTW, thanks for including my silly post on your intro collage'.
BTW-BTW, I wouldn't be too sure about the pellet manufacturers not listening to "guys like you." Dude, they MARKET to guys like you, and you are far above the "average shooter." The VERY professional reviews you do on new pieces of gear, the objective analysis you bring to all the issues of shooting...I think they WOULD listen to someone like you, if you presented a simple request, slightly softer alloy or whatever. It wouldn't bankrupt them to run off a few "test batches" of a different formula, and give it to you for what they can be assured would be an objective, informative review. 👍
@@davidschmidt6013 you're right, Dave, and they listen to some shooters they choose to. Usually the so called "big guys" on social media 😉

Howdy, new scriber here, im curious, are you getting strikes against your channel for your dispatch shots? I trapped a rat and got a strike for that! Love the channel btw
Thanks, buddy, and welcome to the channel 🙂
No, I haven't had strikes, I'm trying to take shots that dispatch them instantly or as quickly as possible, and I usually do not show all the gory stuff, also scenes with blood are in black and white.
I couldn’t believe i got a strike for trapping the rat. I even edited right at the snap of the trap.
Man some of those sky rats are tough to take a pellet of that size and weight and still fly off a few meters.
Cheers from California.
Indeed they are, mate. Strong fliers too.
Thanks and greetings to sunny California 👍
tankyou for your view and your disclaimer.
the clueless will still complain and vote down your video because for them these pests are more important than the fellow human beings who can suffer due to the droppings from these birds contaminating the grain.
My point exactly, thanks for the understanding, mate 🤝 A lot of people have no pity for their fellow humans, and think their conscience is clean - they have no idea what it takes to produce and store the food they get off supermarket shelves.

In my experience, Corvid's recognise a rifle being raised and sense the danger, this will almost always spook them if you're too close. If you can conceal that movement then you can usually get closer as they dont recognise the threat and will remain where they are.
You're right to a certain extent. They're intelligent birds and how close you get to them depends on a number of factors, but usually concealment and/or distance are the leading factors for a successful shot. Well, there are also those cases where they fail to realise you're a threat 😉 But those are feral pigeons, buddy, not corvid species.
That's valid advice for magpies. Pigeons are purely proximity-triggered, though; they're _nowhere near_ as sharp minded as corvids.
@@DinnerForkTongue spot on, bud. You can't compare the two. Pigeons are way dumber.
Like the sound when hit the ground.
So satisfying 🙂
How did you prepare them for dinner?
I gave almost all of them to cats, mate 🙂
WOW so many cat cubs which means the adults are well feeded :) I'm not suprised :) Good for everyone the pigeons are so stubborn and stupid enough to get back and occupate places when they are frequently taken down :)
That's the one thing I tell everyone saying pigeons are intelligent birds. Thanks for watching, bud.
@@AirRifleActivities The only intelligence they have is in regards to geography and navigation, bud. Basic survival, not so much. Heh.
@@DinnerForkTongue absolutely, mate. Couldn't agree more. I know they navigate quite well for hundreds of miles.

Alex, I have said it before but your production quality is excellent. As always, great shooting and explaining how you approach shooting in a permission full of buildings. The two main permissions I shoot are the same and you need to be careful with .22 and .25 caliber slugs. Either of those will punch through things you don't want holes in.
