I wonder how they avoid them sticking to the shelves in the kiln. I remember every time we made pottery we had to avoid getting glaze on the bottom or it'd be stuck to the shelves/stands and then it likely would break if you removed it
@@rdpclYeah. Her name is Lynn Herzeg, it's kinda ironic because she actually has a voice coach consulting business or something. She does have a harsh pronunciation of most words. But I love the show so I tolerate it. On some episodes that she narrates you may notice that she sounds a bit softer and slightly more pleasant. I guess it has to do with how the engineers mix the audio and/or mic placement. Those factors really make a difference
They probably meant relative humidity. It means that the air is holding 100% of the amount of water vapor it can hold. The capacity of air to hold water vapor varies based on temperature and barometric pressure.
Anytime you try to draw on something that’s even slightly wet it affects the marker, in this case it would make the marker not work after a short time. Thus why they have to use the transfer paper.
Even the chimney/smokestack of the factory is shaped like a bottle or a vase ! Cool ! 😎🏺
I think it is absolutely gorgeous! Such rich deep colors. Excellent video from you. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely amazing. Thank you. Makes me really appreciate Vases even more for the effort that goes into making them.
wrr

My first ever how it's made video!
At least she didn't say Killen this time
It's a different narrator. The "killen" woman mispronounces and exaggerates every word

Even though not as elegant as east pottery , still, it's quite lovely.
thanks so much fantastic work
i like it and have a lot of questions
Wow, that's beautiful!
beware, the ginger jar will steal your soul
Poppytrail
strange. usually the "foot" of a piece is never glazed... do they clean it before fire?
Alenia's Cyberspace yes, it needs to be cleaned off so that the glaze doesn't glue the piece to the kiln.
The shelf of the kiln is wasted if you don't wipe of glase because glase is basically liquid glass.
Love the ginger use style & especially in cloisonie (sp?)
"tremendous skill"
dude have you ever tried working with puffy favric paint or piped acrylics? That shit is hard to get down properly.
The word "Vase" is pronounced "Varz".
There are different pronunciations kid
Ugh 😩 I can’t be the only one annoyed at the woman for not wearing gloves for the glazing part. Protect yo’ hands!!
100% humidity = in water -_-
not rly.. mountains in winter usually have 100% humidity for example

No. I lived in Houston, TX for 11 yrs. 100% humidity and not raining is miserable. It goes to the bone for cold or hot.
3:36 does she fucking mean watercolor???
I’m pretty sure it’s a type of glaze
😳😳😳😮😮😮🤭🤭🤭
3:00 alot of bull shit when you can just draw on the dam clay!
