Wow, this is worse than EA. EA had you pay for skins, they have you pay for dlc as soon as it comes out and it will last for a limited time limited time because it's a season pass. We will just have to wait and see.

This kind of feels like how Mass Effect 3 made a key companion day 1 DLC instead of just including him in the base game...DLC should only be things that extend the gaming experience, not things that are key to the core experience(and that's what this sounds like)...I hate how many gaming companies don't get that.
$130 is the base game. $70 is the cut content version. that's how people should really see it because that's really what it is

It's standard practice for ubisoft. They became even greedier than ea.
I hope we'll be able to push them back like we did in 2017 with BF2, but until we beat them for closing The Crew - I don't see this happening.

So this is all in service of pushing people toward their subscription service. The alternative is $18 a month (USD) for as long as you want to pay it. Now of course the DLC is going to be doled out over several months so that's the kicker but wait a year or so and you can play the whole thing. "Have patience and all will be revealed"
Ok one mission but donât put that stuff behind paywalls. Only skins and cosmetics is only acceptable paid DLC to me at launch.

Thanks for being the first Star Wars CZcamsr to actually say something senseful about this. People have been overreacting as if the concept of season passes and paywalled missions at launch itself was something new and totally insane, while in truth Ubisoft have been doing exactly this for almost 10 years with franchises like Assassin's Creed. I remember AC Odyssey having that same paywall mission bonus and the mission ended-up being super short and low-effort. It's not like they are paywalling a big part of the game, just a small side-quest, it's alright.
The insane part and the one we should all be mad about is, as you said, the pricing of it. Its way higher than it used to be and is unacceptable. 130 fucking dollars.

Canât speak about WOW but a lot of SWOTOR content required and still requires an active subscription and they had paid story content as well, the base story is free anything above that required some sort of paywall, not to mention the predatory micro transactions. Though I havenât played SWTOR in five years so maybe something changed
@@kennethk.3816 i had to buy one sub to get nearly everything unlocked i think there are like 4 storys you need an active sub for but they aren't that big. If you bought one you get every new story for free. So you are basically paying 10$ for the whole game. And they are still adding more.
