We cant blame people. Legal profession is a very image driven profession. It's an unwritten rule imposed by the society. :D
I think the person is to blame if he/she has every opportunity to shed that baseless bias and look beyond the tattoos, but deliberately chooses not to. 🙂
@@TinaAmadorRobles That's a hard thing to change. I have tattoos myself and sometimes I also feel discriminated, especially that I'm also trying to pursue the same profession. I do hope that time will come that people will be more open-minded and not just judge baselessly. Good evening Madam.

its my first year in law school, I am really going to be a good lawyer and take care of career, im 18 and want a widow spider on my forearm, will it be a problem in future? Does it depend on firms itself or just neck and hand tattoos are not acceptable. Ill wear long sleeves and it will be covered but im so scared still. Im so hyped to get a tattoo. Im planning in this week but still not sure about how it will affect my future career so can you give me legal advice ? 😄

Good day atty. Are there any issuances, circulars, memoranda of CSC or SC maybe jurisprudence prohibiting visible tattoos in the government service? I am a govt employee, in the judiciary in particular, and am planning to get a forearm tattoo.. Salamat.
Atty. follower nyo po ako sa CZcams. may tanong lang po. halimbawa po ba kapag ang case ay murder or rape dipa po ba ang punishment noon ay capital offence which is reclusion perpetua to death means 20 to 40 years of imprisonment since wala tayung death penalty, halimbawa po paano po kaya yung mga tinatawag na 4 counts or 5 counts yun po ba ay ibig sabihin is 4 din na reclusion perpetua means halimbawa ay Aggravating circumstances 40 years times 4 or 5 counts means 160 years sya makukulong or 200 years. ganun po ba yun Atty.? palagay ko mali e.

God, i'm hoping na this gen would be more open about the stigma when it comes to tattoos. I want mine sa neck but i'll have to re-think it or maybe just depend on those temporary tattoos na pwede ma cover up & ma wash away for a couple of weeks. Lets see how this goes 🤷
edit: nvm, i'll probably put mine on my back. a huge tattoo since they can't really see it naman

I have tattoos and I am considering studying to be a lawyer and was wondering about this...but its 2024 now and I see there is no rules about not having tattoos. I guess if you are good at what you do, then who is to judge.

Hello Atty! I would just like to ask what do law profs think of guys with piercings? I just recently got my earlobes pierced right before I found out I passed UP Law and I don't want naman for the professors to judge me/paginitan ako just because I got a piercing... And what do people in general think of male lawyers who have piercings?
Wow! Congratulations!! Well done! Hmm. Professors will (of course) say that they would not be biased against male students with piercings, but to be on the safe side, I think the male students would be the ones nalang to take it upon themselves to remove the piercings. When you’re in law school, the last thing you want kasi is to unnecessarily draw attention to yourself and become the prof’s “favorite” 😂 I think the same insights mentioned in this video apply to male lawyers with piercings. Most fellow lawyers will think nothing of it, but others may still be judgmental about it! It’s really up to you how you choose to handle it. Prove them wrong. Best of luck, Isko!

Things are changing and it depends on your field. I'm not trying to do corporate law. The environmental field I work in does not care. I have hand tattoos and all. No issue for me. I also know a judge with hand tattoos too. I live in a progressive state in the U.S.
Thank you so much, I have a huge hand tattoo and wasn’t exactly thinking about the job pov. A lot of opinions really scared me but it really helps that you’re also in the field I’m interested in. Genuinely calmed me a ton!
