- Although I did finish and so my first 100k attempt theoretically counts as a success in this sense, I clearly overestimated my abilities and ended up with a finishing time more than 5 hours slower than my pessmistic pre-race estimate.
I would say SwissPeaks 100 is a particularly difficult 100k ultra because of its sustained and difficult terrain. Perhaps not so suitable for people making their first attempt at that distance. But I've learned a lot from it, and it's definitely worth the pain and suffering. And the view is almost always magnifique on the race course. Highly recommend~(?)

Hey Jack! Well done for finishing. I did the 45k (Morgins to Bouveret) amd I live in the area. It is a tough course and definitely not like normal Switzerland terrain. Maybe try the Swiss Alps 100. That is the one I am doing next. It's not as technical as the swiss peaks.
Lovely views! Thanks for the video. Greetings from Germany!
Well done!
That was brutal terrain. Incredible job finishing.
Great video and good job ! I ran this 100k last year, a though one that teaches you a lot for the next ultras 😉
Brilliant review and videography!! Loved your storytelling, thanks for sharing!!
Great video 🙏❤️
Appreciated this, Jack! Well done. Way to grind it out!
Interesting.... you were expecting stairs.......in nature?
Nature is a matter of degree, right? And yes, we have stone stairs on trails in Hong Kong, which might make them fit better with "nature" I suppose? I went to Italy after this, and on some of them trails I could see traces of similar stairs, which appear to have been built hundreds of years ago.
There are sometimes stairs on Swiss trails, but lots without. Swiss Peaks is an Awesome race if you like technical trails.
Anybody know the name of the start music off this trail ? thks

Long Lonely Struggle but Bravo~
