i will never ever forgive netflix for canceling this show. it spoke on so many serious topics, had beautiful scenery, and had amazing characters and plot line.

@@redribbonredribbon2430 they didn’t have enough money and not enough people were watching it so they couldn’t continue it anymore. They actually wanted to make at least 5 seasons but their target audience (I think it was 25-40 years of age) didn’t watch it enough. Which, in my opinion, is weird, because I see Anne with an E a show made more for children and teens than adults. But I may be wrong.
We NEED a season 4 there are so many questions to be answered like what happened to the Indigenous girl “ Ka’wat“ her story just ended what happened to her family? I need more information!!!

Just finished it recently, and it is, by far, my favorite show. It's heartbreaking that it's cancelled.
i love this show so much ❤️ my dad's grandpa immigrated to prince edward island from scotland and lived on a farm there during the same time period and same age as anne! we also have a little mi'kmaq heritage (the tribe ka'kwet was in). i had an anne of green gables doll when i was little and a children's book about her. this show will always have a special place in my heart. so sad they didnt have more seasons.

Never in my 66 years have I found s show that was so entertaining and enjoyable. Each episode and season captured my interest. In a world with very little wholesome and enjoyable entertainment, Anne with an E is the best of the best! Season 4 is needed!! Please don't end it now!!

Re-watching this on Netflix…I have such a huge crush on Anne ugh she was so amazing! The amount of trauma Anne had to deal with being and orphan and being in that terrible orphanage, yet she continues to have such a lively spirit, full of confidence, bravery and romance. She’s such an inspiration!!

It is absolutley glorieus and i enjoy every minute of Anne with an E and again and again and again. If i feel homesick i watch it! It is delightfull !
I recently watched this for the first time on Netflix and fell in love. I hated when the last episode was over.
They've done an admirable job. Many previous productions are idyllic, but don't feel like CANADA -- where the weather can be more harsh. This farmhouse also feels like the kind of home Marilla and Matthew would occupy: not a lot of lace, table doilies, pretty upholstery or bright colors; but clean, stark serviceable and orderly.
The writing feels as if every character, child and adult, has been treated to full development and then whittled back to what needs to appear on-screen. Everyone feels individual and real. The casting is phenomenal. Amybeth McNulty in the lead role is stunning, odd, unnerving, annoying, and still a child in many ways. Watching her effect on those around her with many initially rejecting her builds heart toward her character.
I need the fourth season for my soul please, this is too beautiful :(
So unfortunate this show was cancelled, I am proud that such a good show was produced and centered around Canada for a change. Probably my favourite show ever.

They found Anne who is just perfect for the role. Intelligent dreamer, both beautiful and ugly at the same time, Casting done good!

You know how in the books at first everyone were thinking that Anne wasn't pretty, some even thought that she's the ugliest child they ever see and with time they just started to see her beauty? (tho Rachel in 3rd book still wasn't sure if she's not simply ugly) I couldn't see this transformation in previews films, in this series is more like in books. Don't get me wrong, she's lovely here with hair, eyes, enthusiasm and dreamy voice like true Anne :)

I like that you appreciate Anne's texture. She's off-putting to many other characters, but everyone who embraces her right away and is patient appears to be the wisest among the cast. I find myself watching each episode 2 or 3 times waiting for the next.
The actor who plays Gilbert Blythe, Lucas Jade Zumann, was recently in the film 20th Century Women, and he's incredible. It's worth checking out. Never before has "shampoo" and "clintoral stimulation" been so funny!
She is definitely intelligent and beautiful but I wouldn't say ugly. Maybe not as attractive as Megan Follow in the classic sense.

I ve just finished watching this series, and It was literally my best show in my life It was such a seamless series.
Anne invigorated my dull life again just as she did when I was young
My mom, sisters, and I absolutely fell in love with this show and watched it in basically a day. We're really hoping for a season 2 and maybe more because we just love it so much. I'm a bookworm but have never really read classics, but after reading an amazing classic in my language arts class I've been interested in reading more. The Anne of Green Gables series is definitely the next classic I'll read. And can I just say, Lucas (aka Gilbert) is just 😍😍😍

I just love this series, and never want to end. Magical intro., and transports me to a different world. So beautiful!
I wish I could describe all the emotions this show stirred in me. I have tried but no words can adequately do justice to a film that changes you, your world view, your attitude and how you will choose to live forever. AnnE is an essential, right up there with oxygen. I kid you not.
This is a beautiful story and this movie interpreted everything to make it more valuable. The filming and scenes, the choice of environment, costumes, way of acting is just amazing ♥

This series shows so many point of life and really has a purpose.
It is so interesting to see some of the makeover, it really makes us feel the joy of accomplishing this beautiful series and the what everything is sett up. We really see all that has taken place and what part each had for the filming.
Everyone was a part of an amazing interpretation to create this series. Moira Walley-Beckett and Miranda de Pencier have done an amazing job, I think this movie has so much story and expresses a lot. The movie preparation, filming, acting, costumes, as well as all the environment so well chosen and all the frameworks were just perfectly fitting. Thank you (-: This hard work from so many really is incredible!
I've always loved this story since I was a little girl and I love this adaptation, they give it a new depth. Already watch the first season twice, looking forward to season 2!

The best production by far which captured not only the authenticity of the time but the heart felt appreciation of a story once written. What made it so wonderful were the actors, the production behind the scenes work that had to go into it but also how the characters were depicted. Characters who were not perfect but with blemished pasts yet by coming together formed something one could say with fondness is Canadian.

New Hamburg, Ontario was another location, I was there when they were prepping the area...to watch it and see it come to life was magical! Beautiful and well done series that dealt with important matters. When the indigenous issues were illustrated I was grieved as it shone a light on the horrendous hatred and abuse toward the people and esp the children.
Anne and her background reminded me of myself and some things I went through....I laughed I cried.....this should not of ended ...we need MORE!!! At least one more season
I just binge watch season 1, and I cried more than the I did the entire series of This Is Us. So many heart touching moments.
