It has a successful engine, very, very reliable, I had no problem in time and I really like the specific noise of the engine in the cabin ... I got used to it and otherwise I would miss it on the road ..

@@Slipurt it obviously had a problem causing it to overheat, like a thermostat or the cooling fan wasn't working. Straight away 2 basic things. These cars are fantastic but if not maintained correctly then suddenly they're bad.
I have a tdci with almost no noise insulation...It's really freakin loud. Especially with a cold engine. If it bothers you you can always do something about it, I myself don't really care. Actually like when the revs get up there and you can hear and feel everything.
I have 2001 Mondeo 2.0 16v Ghia X, petrol, lovely car, after hearing this engine I never want to own a diesel!! It sounds awful! You can hardly hear the engine on my car, really smooth..

I travel a lot to west eu. So believe, i know. I agree that it looks better in now days, but Lithuania also. Its just not nice weather, i do not choise new districts for less traffic. So please, come to Lithuania ans see on your own that it’s really beautiful country :)))
Rapi what i liked the most - seats. Really comfortable and all driver position is cool, so nice to drive. Just do not know what to tell you more. Oh.. i didint like that automatic transmision, just really slow one. All in all quit cool model.

I love the interior and exterior of this car so much, i really love it! Built cooler than any other car...
Yes interior is very much cool best in class.
Verry underrated and reliable car!
But also extremely expensive to own in taxes (1000 euros a year here) and only 7l/100km at best ;)
Bruh my dad owned one of these and it was a really bad like we would stop 27 time in the high way because of overheating

About to buy an old 2003 mondeo 2.0 tdci... is the engine actually this loud or do you just have engine/ exhaust issues?

Tdci is more silent than tddi, i own a 2004 mondeo 2 liter tdci engine and is a bomb, i love it, great family car

I ran my old TDDI Ghia-x on veg oil and kerosene, brilliant but agricultural engine, later TDCI's were a nightmare.

I had one with 121000 miles and used it till I got it to 200000 miles and never had a problem... The car still runs to this day.
