I love the Balkans! Not only the vacation paradises on the Adriatic coast, but also and especially the interior. Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia. Southern Austria is also part of it for me. The many Slavic names bear witness to the long shared history. Wild, crazy, morbid. Definitely with a lot of brass. Trumpets and trombones, an accordion over everything. A melody like the bleating of a goat, full of joie de vivre. Moving like the bubbling of a torrent that reaches its destination where everyone ends up in the end... on the beautiful blue Adriatic or on the rocky beaches of the legendary Black Sea...
