Many don't like DSP receivers because of muting while tuning manually. In the case of TEF6686 the muting effect is less irritating due to higher speed/shorter muting effect.
This always reminds me of myself searching through the SW band on my radio as a child for police transmissions. Just out of curiosity, mind you, not trying to evade arrest or anyting 😁
Yes, but the saddest thing was that there were no police transmissions on those available bands/frequencies. 😔 I used to find cryptic military transmissions like the "buzzer" or Enigma spy/diplomatic number stations, which were still available in the late '90s/early '00s. 😎
