At this point Ian, I would pay for an entire book of you writing down every story you've witnessed, have an artist do an insanely crazy interpretation of each story at the opening of each chapter and call the book: "TALES FROM THE GAME STORE VOL. 1" Then when for the audiobook somehow get John Edward Kassir to do it.
E Nigma Before they started calling these “Tales from the Game Store”, I pictured these assholes as Garbage Pail Kids characters. I even started giving then names like you might see on the cards. There was The Bratnik (that kid who kept messing with the DK Bongos), the Make-A-Deal Drunk (the drunk lowballing on the 3DS), Darkwing Dope (the shoplifter who, IIRC, stole a game from one of the stores and tried to sell it to the other), Samurai Jackass (that guy who tried to sell Ian a sword and a “karate metal”), and many more. Some already had nicknames that Ian or the fans had given them, like Milk Man and Ranch Dressing Max. I suggested that they actually make and sell these cards once, and it got a heart from Pat.

I literally went to Luna video games for the first time ever this week (I'm Canadian) and I had a perfectly pleasant experience. Bought a gameboy color and sadly didn't experience any weirdos.

When I worked in retail the father of a similar family to the one you’re describing here, offered me cash to give him a massive discount on a collection of wrestling DVDs. From then on, every time he entered the store I would disappear and start sweeping the backroom because it got awkward having to wait on him.
The 16 yo sounds like he may have autism,some children can be difficult - you may find its also the reason he has many consoles,his behavour if so .. sounds normal
As someone who has autism, I agree with this theory. I also owned (and still own today) many consoles when I was younger, but I mainly did it because I appreciated the history, and wanted to have a little curated library of retro gaming stuff, and because I couldn't play a lot of modern games due to most of them being M-rated games.
