Bass Fishing California Delta 08 15 2023

- After one trip to New Melones, which produced only 2 small fish, and one trip to Don Pedro, which produced no fish, I decided to hit the Delta. I launched out of Tiki Lagoon and headed down to Mildred Island. Unfortunately, I could not find the battery for my rear-mounted camera, so I only got a little bit of video from my hat-mounted camera. Good news - I ended up catching about 14 largemouth and 1 striper. Bad news - they were all fairly small in the 8-14 inch range, but at least it was not a skunk:-) Now I need to go work on my kayak. The rudder line broke near the end of the day.

Thanks, Craig. It was nice meeting you too. Hopefully, the bite will pick up soon. It was fun on the delta, but they were all small fish. It might be a good sign for next year.

they delta right now is producing lots of dinks. but fish is a fish. good job...its always a good time out there
Thanks, and yes, it is always fun out there. I have also noticed a large population of juvenile fish in the lakes. I hope that is a good sign for the next few years when they grow up.

I went out to the delta again today. I managed to catch 9, about half adults and half juveniles but all fun!
@@FishermanBarry where did you end up going. i just went for the first time at hollands tract recently. caught 4 dinks and lost (1) 2 to 3 lber one
@@FishingbayareaI launched out of Paradise Point and at first headed west then changed course and headed east towards the San Joaquin main channel. I have some video but it is not posted yet. Maybe tomorrow.
@@FishermanBarry i am hoping to fish there sometime this week. Looking forward to the video. I’ll try to upload mines hopefully by next week if i go out.
