- We all know the importance of physical exercise for dogs. But, along with moving our dog’s body, there’s another type of exercise our pups need. It’s called mental stimulation and, just like it sounds, it literally means you’re exercising your dog’s mind. One great way to mentally stimulate your dog is to give them interactive toys. Along with store-bought puzzles made for dogs, you can also make homemade interactive dog toys using common household items! Here are some ideas.

I just tried the water bottle kibble tip and it’s a hit! Another thing that helped is the fact that we put the divider in the cage so he has to work to get anything that slides to the other side of the divider. There’s enough space underneath it for him to fit his paws and a bit of his snout. Thank you for sharing with us!
It means a lot to have channels like yours because we rescued a puppy that ran into my husband’s workplace right after I decided that I needed an ESA. We didn’t have the means or knowledge to actually take him in, so it was a spur of a moment decision that also kinda felt meant-to-be. My husband’s coworkers bought us a kennel, bowls, and a bed to help us get started. Everyone was so worried because he was in poor shape and would most likely have been put down. We just wanted to give him a chance and it’s been so stressful that I’ve come to regret the decision lately. I even decided to take him to the shelter but found out today that there’ll be a few weeks wait before they’ll have space.
Watching your videos helped me feel hope again. If I’ll need to stick with him for a few more weeks, I want to at least try to improve our situation and let’s see if I don’t decide to let him stay. He’s on probation and you’re really helping his case!😄😂❤❤❤
i have visited your channel for the first time and i really liked your content.
Thank you! My dog is full of energy and is hard to calm him but your video helped me make new toys for him to play with and not lose his interest. Again, thank you very much!
Love the busy box. I do this all the time with our pups. Good time spend with these. They love them. Bigger dogs you can use a clothes hamper.
Soo helpfull the first one calmed my dog just like a lick mat in thunder storms or on bonfire night😁
Great ideas! Thank you! Already tried 1st one, both dogs loved them!!!
I made the snuffle mat. It’s great i do a bit of quilting so just used some scraps.

All good stuff. But I’d be careful leaving that cap on the water bottle.
Glued it 👍

Dog waterer, indoots

Hope your pup enjoys the homemade toys :)
your such a good dog mom! You should get more attention!!
So Agree! Every breed is different
Thanks it work
I think I'm going to try the treat roll! Hope this is good enough for my dog he's pretty dumb:-
My puppy is afraid of the water bottle one lol..
Thank you my doggies are going to have mental fun now
My dog is so smart she figures it out easely and after 2times she fixes it in 1minute.
For example , snuffle mat, 60pieces, even underneath it....40sec max😂
My dog doesnt use her paws often, unless shes irritated and trying to slap it. She just sticks her nose inside everywhere and usually beats the toy.
💕🐕🐕
I have a husky who surprisingly doesn’t like toys what so ever but almost all of these toys were a huge hit he loved them and couldn’t stop playing with them but does anyone have any suggestions on healthy treats for him scones most of these require treats and I want him to stay healthy
I have seen many of these use the dog’s kibble as the treat..feed slightly less than you would normally and the use the withheld amount as “treats”.
Veggies,fruits, dried sweet 🥔. Etc
I’d tape up the sharp edges of the water bottle treat dispenser- just in case they stick their tongue in to get the treats out. (klmsCrazy4dogs 👍🏼 gotta’ keep ‘em safe 😉)
How do you wash the snuffle mat?
Probably hand washing it is best. I wash mine with baby shampoo in the bathtub or sometimes outside with the garden hose.
To make it washable for the washing machine, you can use another cloth as the base. I found other youtube videos about it
Hi, the plastic water bottle with cut in holes for treats for some dogs may not be a good idea due to the TONGUE! My dogs use their tongue to get at treats with the Kong & that toy replace with bottle. So I would recommend to remind people to watch HOW their dogs retrieve treats so they don't cut tongues!🐶💞
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this comment. It's always so important to know your dog's play-style and supervise play. My dogs also use their tongue on a traditional KONG toy, but they never do with the KONG Gyro - since it rolls and treats just fall out. So, the water bottle is a good alternative for my little guys and dogs that play like mine. But, that's exactly why I shared a disclaimer on that particular toy - because it won't fit all dog play styles. Hope you found some of the other toys on the list helpful for your pups 😊
My dog would eat half of these😂😂😂😂😂 and the first one he would pick up and shake 😅😅😅😅 help 😂😂
Here's a CHALLENGE. PLEASE share ideas for a 70 lb. high energy Lab/Terrier that will chew a towel up, crack open a pop bottle and only wants to eat a tennis ball! Thank you!
Our big dog would chew the box
My dog will eat the towel.
They need to earn it
Hey great video, thank you. I just wanted to let you know amazon boxes are sprayed with anti rodent chemicals that are very toxic.
i dont know if i love it or not XD but my malinois bites and destroys its way to all the treats XD like h'es not really into thinking XD
Hi there! I love your ideas. My only problem is that my little dog is already “chubby” (to say the least...) and all the toys have treats in them... I am trying to find something that she can play with, that is not triggered by food.
Can you not just put some of their regular food in the toys? i.e. if they get 1 cup of kibble per day then use 1/4 of the cup for one of these ideas/mental stimulation toys?
Hello
Is your friend named Tori nah bransky
too bad my dog is the type that eats the bottle instead of rolling it
