it’s really interesting to see so many of these with altmodes based on real vehicles actually saying the license out loud. like, transformers quietly dodges the question, but gobots has the word “PORSCHE” on the front windshield of baron von joy, they make no bones about it
warpath in robot mode. take his propeller out and put it in his back then it wont be in the way. you can spread the propellers out to make it look cooler.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 I don't intend this to come of as knit-picking here. Defender is a Saladin AFV, not a tank. It's turret is forward mounted and you have it displayed directed to the rear which is the engine compartment. i.e.: you have the gun pointing backwards.
Fun fact: Raizor was actually a cut concept from Machine Robo, involving existing characters receiving power-up armor. In this case, Raizor was supposed to be an upgrade of Mach-3. Also, Warpath and Staks are actually supposed to be large redesigns of Wrong-Way, and Road Ranger, according to their Machine Robo names.
Thanks for the review of these guys! As a kid I collected mostly Transformers, but I did have a few GoBots. My friend down the street had "Zee-Mon" so I do remember him, but even as a kid I thought he was a rip off of Bluestreak/Prowl and didn't like him. I'm not sure why he had the "TransAm/Firebird" sticker on the hood. He wasn't a Pontiac. Anyway, my friend also had Warpath who I did think was really cool. I think he also had the big shuttle and Leader One.
Dude I love these videos of the vintage collections. Would love to see more of this kind of thing, like Transformers, He-Man, Ghostbusters, etc. if you have more collections to share.
Because of space in the future ill try to get the Super Leader 1 and Cykill i had them once but😢 i had to sell them because my wife was out of job and we needed it the money also the cool Volkswagen i am going to get for my Volkswagen collection great video friend keep up tge great content 😊
I have Vamp , Baron von joy , Stacks and night fright . I had no idea until now he was rare or worth that much . He's in decent shape but the rotors are damaged and so is the chin gun . I was a transformers kid so I never really cared about my gobots. Guess I should now. Thanks for the upload
Great collection, thanks for showing it! Cy-Kill, he was the first GoBot I bought as a small kid as I opened it up while in Wendy's fast food. If those wheels stay connected at all times, I kind of like the idea of the wheels on his back in the larger version, which I never had. Space-C was great too, along with many of these unique Robot Switching vehicles. I wish they all had faces, but some used the windows or headlights as eyes. Sorry to hear Leader-1's wings droop over time.
In Psycho if you look closely at the passengers they are Cobra and Lady from Space Adventure Cobra the anime. Perhaps a nod to Space Adventure Cobra, Cobra's most powerful weapon is called the Psycho gun. One his his arms transforms into in the animated movie. In the Manga/TV series he has a robot hand/forearm hiding it that just slides off.
Oh wow - have you taken me down memory lane! I had a couple of these as a kid & destroyed them through rough play. Good to see someone keeping the memory alive. Because you collect multiple lines/ products/ brands, do you have a dedicated room just to your collection ?
I'm 5 months late but i can't stand not pointing it out. Warpath's propeller does plug into his back. It plugs into the same hole from the other side and then the tail folds over it, sandwiching it into the middle of the figure. It should make a V shape sticking out of his shoulders.
Psycho has always been my fave. Years later I came acrossed a very cool 1980s anime series, which I think you'd enjoy Mike. The show is called "Space Adventure COBRA" and in one of the episode you see the main character "Cobra" driving a car that looks very much like Psycho. Which works perfectly in a futuristic Star Wars like universe. Great car.
@tydiriumhanger1320 definitely check out the show. Granted, you have to read subtitles, but the animation and story are impressive. It felt very Star Wars meets Pirates meets James Bond.. The main character is kinda Han Solo-esque with witty humor and weakness for attractive ladies. His copilot and partner Lady Armaroid, who is a top class mechanical AI armaroid. And Cobra has the most powerful gun in the galaxy. And its attached to his left arm..It's his psycho gun..He battles some impressive villains. One of the main villains whose name is Crystal Bowie reminds me of Destro, but much more ruthless. But Mike definitely check it out. Had this tv series been slightly censored for kids in the US, and allowed on Saturday morning tv, it would have been very popular. There is a pilot made for the US market, and the voice actor for it was Michael Bell which was perfect. Sadly the pilot was nothing like the original version and scrubbed. But still interesting. You can find Space Adventure Cobra series on youtube. Enjoy my friend, and keep up all the fun stuff you do. Now I'm off to finally buy my Psycho GoBot 🙂
I remember seeing the dome heads in stores as a kid. They didn't interest me then and they don't interest me now. I'll stick to picking up the standard ones when I find them. I must say, I'm really amazed at the massive amount of toylines you keep pulling out of your hat for your video's.
That sticker on the 280's hood. So, the Japanese knew about the Firebird, but kinda misinterpreted it to be something that we put on our fast/muscle cars, so they put a bird on the hoods of the cars toys that they wanted to sell here. I can't think of too many examples right off, other than this guy, and Tracks. A screaming chicken on a vette.... go figure. Guess they misunderstood that statement "man that thing can fly!" so threw wings on that example as well, to be double murican lol

They do not really stand out as gobots becuase of their size and were not really in the show much
Really Nice , one my favorite series of my childhood but I hope someone makes a new toy line with the modern technique but cartoon accurate style.
