To be honest, I am surprised that Sonic only has one character to represent it, especially after being in the series for 3 games now. I fully support this.

I imagine the reveal trailer to be like this:
Sonic is having a battle with Mario and Luigi, who have the upper hand. Sonic is almost about to lose, when a shadow looms over the stage. The three look up, showing the Tornado 2. It fires missiles at Mario and Luigi, knocking them off the stage. Tails jumps from the Tornado 2, revealing:

Just saying, Tails would be an excellent addition to the roster. canonically he's a gadgeteer, and he had an awesome moveset in Sonic Battle. plus, given that he's a flyer, his recovery would be amazing.
Since his Up B would presumably be flying, what if you could grab teammates with it to help them recover? Or you could grab an opponent and fly into the blast zone (but they could mash out)
It would probably be similar to K Rool's Helicopter or Olimar/Villager/Isabelle.
His recovery would be super-gimpable, unless his tails spinning gives him protection ala Snake.

I’d love to see a Chemical Plant Zone arena where you start off on a platform that has the purple liquid being poured into bottles on a conveyor belt and robots are pulling cords to dispense it and then the platform starts to move to a new section where there are now two floating platforms on the sides and the original platform slowly sinks into a vat of the liquid and stays underneath for about a minute and then rises up again to which the fighters must jump back onto the platform as it moves to the final part of the stage which is the Sonic Mania Boss Fight where you can see various Sonic characters fighting the boss.
I WISH. Honestly it doesn't even feel like Sonic is represented in Smash, that's how bad his representation is

No other Sonic character deserves the Smash spotlight more than Tails. Sure Shadow is a fan favourite and Knuckles is meme fodder, but Tails represents Player 2 as much as Luigi. He got a large number of fans into the Sonic series, his moveset would be distinct and he's already been shown to work with a moveset in Super Smash Flash.
I'd say eggman is tied, but representing him well with his moves would be harder to pull off. Though it's not like Sonic is repped well.
That is a deep insult to refer to Knuckles as “meme fodder”. Dude’s just as important as Tails. Plus, Shadow stole his spot as the rival. He Vegeta’d his Piccolo! Knuckles deserves respect bro

Tails is clearly the best choice for another Sonic rep in Smash. Shadow and Knuckles are at least represented as Assist Trophies, while Tails doesn't even get that even though he out ranks Knuckles in popularity and both in importance.

I honestly love that Sonic is in Smash, but I wish he was better represented. Add Shadow? No. Remake Sonic’s moveset? Yes. Add Tails? Yes.

His moveset is mostly from Sonic the Fighters, no need to remake it, it does in fact represent Sonic.
No, Sonic really does need a moveset overhaul.
While Sonic the Fighters might have a few good moves that Sonic can pull from, some of his better attacks should come from Sonic Battle, imo.

Well I have high hopes for Tails to get in the 2nd Fighter’s Pass! Plus, Min Min from ARMS got upgraded from a spirit to a fighter as the first fighter, so if she can happen, then Tails can too! It’s about time Sonic had his best buddy for a fighter in Smash Ultimate!

Tails could make an excellent Smash Bros. character, with a lot of unique moves. Anyone who says he would just be a sonic echo has never played Tails' Adventures or Tails' Sky Patrol.

Wow, I surprisingly thought this was going to be like those dumb fake videos where they take a character and just take the soundtrack from the certain game and loop it to make it extended.
But this is an actual remix that sounds like something they would actually Remake! Props, Bruh!
I just had a great idea: Since Tails has always been a support character what if his Up B was his fly but it started with a command grab? You could save your teammates in team battles by grabbing them and flying upward (this could even work with team attack off). If you grabbed an opponent, you could carry them for a short time, which they could mash out of, like in Smash Flash 2. The downside could be, you would be able to fly much longer without carrying someone.

This music will always bring back nostalgic memories. Was and always will be my favorite Sonic track, and stage. Also Legalize Pokéfloats and all the old stages, you already have all the characters, why not the stages too? Remember the Sonic Movie people, we complained enough and got it to change, FOR THE BETTER I might add. Us the fans have the PROWER.
That's why Chemical Plant zone is my favorite melody from all the others

Chemical plant zone stage idea:
Occasionally, those pesky trails of blue balls jump out of tubes, purple chemicals shoot down from the ceiling in one area, and a certain area of the floor will be made of the same flooring as the chemical plant boss fight and will therefore sometimes flip on itself
Bro imagine having Tails in Smash! Now that would be something I'd like to get my hands on. Plus, we haven't had any other Sonic character become playable ever since Sonic was in Brawl. This would be a good time to let the two tailed fox get a slot for himself. And, his moveset would be interesting, but hopefully his stage doesn't end up being Emerald Hill Zone, we already have to many grassy plain areas. And his songs will include Sonic 2 music, maybe a little of Tails Adventure from the Game Gear (remix would be recommend) and Believe in Myself (his song from SA2 I believe)

I'm surprised that Tails, Knuckles, Doctor Robotnik, Metal Sonic or Shadow haven't featured in these games by now.
It annoys me that Sonic has been in Smash for more than 10 years and has stayed in Smash since but still hasn’t gotten one character from his series as a playable fighter. I want more Sonic songs, maybe a new stage and most of all, a new character and I honestly don’t care who it is. It could literally be any Sonic character ever and I would be satisfied!

Am I the only one that sees Dr. Eggman as the only real logical candidate? He doesn't have any sort of assist trophy, stage cameo, or Mii costume, and has a TON of moveset potential with all of his different boss appearances.
He's the only one SEGA would approve of probably because he's the only other character from a marketing standpoint that could stand with Sonic as a playable character without "wrongfully" stealing his spotlight.
Personally, I think Eggman/Robotnik would be a more suitable choice. Another heavy (possibly), villain, and Sonic representative. Plus he's been with sonic since the very first game, so I think it's fitting. For real though, Sonic needs another rep. Here's hoping.
