Love that real low rumble, turbo?? Great job on the video and equipment! I liked it so much, I just found an older Atlas 2rl SD35 B&O for the fleet. I'll have to add sound and control. Hope it looks half as good as this!
That's a Lionel converted to 2-rail. You can find them on eBay. The sound is from a real train. I just convert a CZcams vid to mp3 and drop it in with windows movie maker. DCC sound comes out of such a small speaker its actually more annoying than realistic. Plus there are so many sounds that come from a train....DCC doesn't come close to capturing them. Then of course there is the bass.....chest thumping ground shaking bass.
The weathering on these freight cars is simply unbelievable! What a great job! Incredible detail.
Industrial: another visual & aural treat. I favorited this. Realism.
Thanks Mark....just about finished with the layout then its movie time!
Looking (& Sounding) Great ! The real recordings are so much more realistic then those electronic DCC chips.
Awesome! Beautiful layout and excellent weathering job.
many thanks guys....glad you enjoyed it. Going to make lots more in the coming months....:)
Please do...
Very cool.
Great work with the sound files too. Love the grime on the boxcars.
Such a clean and realistic layout.
very nice! would like to see and overview of the layout!
O scale FTW!
That was awesome!!! I'm always looking for a good place to get rail sounds for my vids.
Saw your link on the OGR Forum, cool video with the sounds.

f you hadn't backed up with the shop, you might have fooled some people into thinking this wasn't a model!
The first video I watched had me fooled for a minute. (Switching Allied Chemical.)
Who made that I-12? Is the sound from the units themselves or recordings? There's a a lot of bass in the sound!
